    Reminds me of the old master replicas sabre packaging. Luke ROTJ is a beautiful hilt, one day

    In case anyone is wondering, the PCB in the emitter is just a standard Neopixel hilt side PCB from the Custom Saber Shop

      They should make one which has a blade and master chassis, I hope in the future efx does that😢

    • @StarWarsfan-x5c
      @StarWarsfan-x5c 11 дней назад

      I have a question so if it has that obs does that mean you can install a chassis to give it a blade or...?

      @@StarWarsfan-x5c no, it’s pretty much solid for a lot of the hilt.

      @@StarWarsfan-x5c never going to happen. EFX’s entire business model is creating accurate props to what was used on screen for fans to display. The only reason the pins are there on this model is because the prop had them present. Also these are already really expensive, adding an install (especially if it was something nice like a master chassis) and a pixel blade would make it way more expensive. Plus if they put electronics in it it wouldn’t be much better than the shitty galaxies edge sabers

    Quite enjoy your videos! I don't typically leave comments though; however, thought I would with this one. The only issue I have with EFX hilts are their prices when I can get a Roman Props hilt for half the price or less than half. Saying that; the EFX hilts will most likely retain or grow in value where the Roman props hilt will most likely stay at the same value if resale is important to someone. The EFX does come with a beautiful case; however, I feel they are a bit over priced for what you get in my humble opinion.

      Thank you for watching! Yeah I get ya but for some collectors it’s important that they are officially licensed Lucasfilm products. I respectfully disagree with the price comparison with the Romans sabers because those are still $300 and don’t come with the base, stand or plaque. This saber is $579. I’ve gotten custom bases and stands in the past and after shipping they end up being way over $200 for the display base and plaque. Plus it is limited edition so like you said it will always maintain the resale value.
      It’s like some people spend 25k on a Rolex when they can get a replica Rolex for way cheaper and will probably last just as long and no one will know except them. So it just depends on the collector really.

    What’s dumb is that this design for the saber (with the big control box) isn’t even in Return of the Jedi. It was only used in the deleted scene where Luke is making adjustments to it in the cave. A variant of it, referred to as the Yuma, was used for the scenes of Jabba’s Sail Barge. But it didn’t have the big clunky control box. And a cleaned up version of the Yuma was used for the one close up shot of Vader handling Luke’s saber. Other than that, the V2 was used throughout the entire movie, except for the final duel with Vader and where Luke tosses his lightsaber away. That one was the V3, and I view that one as the superior design that should have been the official version.
