❤John actually is very much one of the Greatest. No one has his moves , his intelligence in this business. He accomplished unimaginable things starting heatwave . We all know he gave Rod Temperton his start who, became one of the greatest song writers of ALL TIME ! It was Johnnie who served in Vietnam and was the beautiful voice entertaining before America knew he ever could . . He then sought to put together the most multi-racial perfect blend of musicians , that made heatwave such 🔥 HOT PROPERTY 🔥 and definitely number #1 entertainers in the world . John is known as a total perfectionist. I knew him . Believe me "if" anyone has ALL their albums would know John wilder is a flawless 💎Top of the pyramid Artist 💎and great musician . Even AFTER he was paralyzed and devastated being debilitated. He worked to still sing GOSPEL GOLD and protected his wealth for his family . He is the one Who HELPED Teddy when he was paralyzed and didn't believe he could live ! Johnnie Wilder is MY HERO ❤ in a Man and the music of HEATWAVE will always be some of the most DREAMY best melodies of all time !

I still have the "Too Hot To Handle" album, where this jam is from. Looking back, Heatwave had a lot of great songs from the first five albums they recorded between 1976 and 1982. I think they were underrated after their "Central Heating" album in 1978. Their albums "Hot Property (1979)", "Candles (1980)", and "Current" (1982), had great songs that I felt that should been more recognized.

I don't know why people argue who is the greatest...anything. That doesn't matter because we all have a subjective sense...it's one of the beautiful characteristics the Creator put in place because obviously the Creator loves diversity. Everybody has falsettos that "RESONATE" with them, that is who you think is the best, and that's ok cause that is YOUR opinion and each of us has a right to our opinion. I feel I'm blessed by the Creator to experience all of them mentioned. Fo' sho' I to have my favorites but that is irrelevant and unimportant to anyone..but me! what is amazing to me is the fact that the songs every falsetto sings is uniquely theirs and no one could have done it better. Peace. Enjoy my brothers and sisters (that's everyone regardless of...

Heatwave, smooth and they try to show men whats it like to be a real man and take your time when it comes to dealing with a lady. I take their songs to heart and try to be a gentleman about things. Heatwave is awesome

Johnny Wilder Jr. had a one in a zillion voice. He was absolutely gorgeous too. I understand the music business is rough, but cannot understand why Quincy did not snap Johnny up & take him to the superstar level. He had the chops & the looks. RIP beautiful Johnny

Personally i think he had more natural talent than Jackson, think maybe Johnny was a bit too independent minded to join the QJ empire.

Johnny wanted to keep the group together for Heatwave. Although he could have gone solo but Johnny was all about the group

This brings me back to high school dayz. Two girl friends and I had attempted to sing Lay it on me, with me doing the lead. But the day before the show my uncle died an I just was in shock to I just shut down and well you know i couldn't perform. Anytime I hear Johnny's voice I think of my uncle who introduced me to Heatwave! He used to play always and forever and try singing the high parts and almost make it.:) I miss him. He was my moms only brother. To you Uncle Jackson Grandville LOVE YOU!!!
