he's so right about doing it for the love of drawing. everytime I put my self worth or approval of others on the line with a piece it ends up with me being discouraged. gotta remember this!!
I really love what Archipel's doing. it's unique and polished. from the camera work, the music and the questions to the pace. every episode is a break from the madness of current life and a pleasant trip into the mind of a creator. creativity is severely lacking these days so it's wonderful to see it still exists.

I've come across some of his work lately, it really looks cool, i actually tough of Terada sensei's work when i saw it, he definitly influenced him in his drawing philosophy. I'm really happy with this episode, i always come back to this channel in hope of such a gem. Thank you to all participants, it's great!
Hello, I rarely comment but I feel like this video changed my life. The atmosphere of theses documentaries are breathtaking and so inspiring. I think I just found my new favorite channel on RUclips.
I just love the energy of the Archipel's interviews, I also love how simple is the reasons to these amazing artists keep drawing. Archipel's videos one more time stopped me of giving up of trying to become an artist
Amazing video as always. So inspiring. I didn't know this artist, I can't wait to see his previous works ! Sadly I'm not good at drawing but I'm working on it. This kind of beautiful work motivates a lot. Thanks Archipel.
Nice videowork as always. In my opinion, the moment of 1:52 , his inspiration Terada Katsuya and himself in same place was such a thrilling to me. At 7:20 we can enjoy two artists’ drawing at a same time and get our own inspiration. And i totally agree that just filling an empty paper with my single pen is fun and gives me freedom
I think that loving to draw is what keeps us artists creating. I stopped drawing for a period of time and I had to come back to it. I just love the creative process and the end result ☺️👍!
Glad to hear he was inspired by Katsuya Terada who's one of my favorite illustrators of all time (I have several of his posters, art books and comics). Good vid.
Obrigado : )
Had never heard of this artist before watching this, but I think with this I've found another inspiration and art goal. His thinking and way of drawing is very relatable.
This is easily my favorite channel here on youtube. Thank you so much for your work, it's always a moment of beauty, learning and inspiration when I stop to watch something here
Wow! This is a very delicate and wonderful drawing. Directing is the best. That's great. Keep our meeting! 👍 Watch the video to the end. Have a happy new week!
Acky Bright's work in the definition of cool and overflowing with style. Thanks for putting this out there so we can get an inside look on how he thinks.
Wow I don't no is it just me ,,or are these Artist in these Drawing Project are such humble people, TALK about Talent this is such incredible Work . I look forward to belonging to this Project Paul--5951
Whenever i watch these artists draw, i always feel like like us westerns are missing a point. Something more akin to personal growth and imaginative: i want to build a visual library sych so i could draw this way, but I always understimate me (probably in a good way), yet that desire burns.
I feel this. Part of me feels like us (in the west) put too many labels into what defines "proper art" via arguments such as traditional is better than digital, the argument over using certain tools or refs as cheating, the right and or wrong way to draw (excluding fundamentals), etc. We forget that art is about experimentation and the joy of bringing our creativity to light via a multitude of methods and means. I'm not saying there are no rules to art, but we at times constrain ourselves too much due to the subjugation we have seen invoked onto others or the comments we have gotten ourselves. These cause us to inadvertently squeeze out our desire to be more curious, experimental, and as a result creative. At least that's my take. Idk. This all becomes more nuanced when you gotta deal with company work, commissions, etc.
Let your ego die and draw what _you_ like. Your courage will eventually inspire others and that alone (whatever your style is) will make people feel attracted to your art :)
I wish I had something like he has, something to devote all my time to while also enjoying it. Unfortunately, that's not the case and that's one of the reasons I respect this kind of artists to such extent.
Thank you so much for all the high quality documentaries, they're always the highlight of my week. There's few other places where you can find contemporary artists speaking this candidly about their methodology and journey, and these insights are invaluable for people like me who also work in the illustration industry in far away places like latin america. Listening to their perspective on art from a different cultural lenses from mine is incredibly enriching. Really excited to see which artist will be featured next!! Thank you for your hard work.
I never thought I'd see one of the artists I really look up to to have a video here in Archipel. Thanks for featuring him, really great work with the video! ❤
This is cool. Thanks! I'm interested in how he started his business and how he developed relationships with his team. How'd he support himself monetarily before his art took off. Does his art alone cover his personal and business life before , during, and after April 2020? The transition from a kid drawing pictures to an adult business owner with no side jobs is the most interesting thing to me. I wish I knew these things from most of the successful artists out there to better help myself understand what I may need to do outside of just drawing really cool things. Unless just drawing really cool things is exactly how the successful artist got success with no financial support ever. That'd be interesting to learn too. I think that transition from kid with no responsibilities to a self made artist/ business owner and all the personal and business transactions that took place would really help me and many other artists struggling out there. I love these videos and happy to learn about Tetsuya here. Thanks again! ✌
This is going to be amazing omgoodness this is going to inspire me to be a better artist at this point as far as this being a sign this is highly amazing 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
I'm still waiting for an interview with the legendary illustrator Mori "Shinkiro" Toshiaki. It's sure to be really cool for him to talk about his career and the golden years at SNK and Capcom. let's wait...
i wonder how old this guy is. also really love his way of doing faces with simple shapes, dont really get why he says something about his art not being really "modern", i think he inlines with current trends completely
Os desenhos do Acky são bem impactantes, há coisas inesperadas como os dragões ou as partes robóticas que ele usa. O seu estilo de criar é muito interessante, jamais tinha visto isso na ilustração, ou mesmo na pintura.
Archipel please dont stop making videoa lang this... there alot of manga and artist from japan. Im sure you will not run out artist to feature. thanks for this

He does indeed implement current trends, while also adding his influences from 1990s pop culture.
And thank you for that , your style have substance love the mecha and classic approach .
