The Luke thing is totally true - Lucas was basing the character off himself and was supposed to get the girl in the end originally despite how cool Solo was. Solo was partially based off of Coppola who he admired but also envied 😂
Think the only off thing is Luke being the main character since the story of Star Wars (Episodes 1-6) is essentially the Rise and Fall of Anakin Skywalker
