All of the other trainees low-key hated him cause they had already been competing for 8 episodes and it seemed like he was replacing other friends that were eliminated. Long story short, some trainees said they weren't going to ever talk to him or be friends. Truthfully, they warmed up eventually and probably 70% of it was Korean reality TV show exaggerations/editing, but he was definitely alone for a bit.

@@illigirl768 Basically during their show No Mercy (which formed Monsta X), IM randomly joined during the 8th episode (there were only 10 episodes total). All of the other trainees low-key hated him cause they had already been competing for 8 episodes and it seemed like he was replacing other friends that were eliminated. Long story short, some trainees said they weren't going to ever talk to him or be friends.
Truthfully, they warmed up eventually and probably 70% of it was Korean reality TV show exaggerations/editing, but he was definitely alone for a bit.
