Wow. Lots of contemplation to put words to the brilliance of your presentation. Exemplary of everything the Bible teaches, put into the human experience. Dying to self is the secret to life, for sure. Ive farmed, been a school teacher, raised 2 kids into adulthood, drove Semi OTR by myself, and now am a heavy equipment operator (heavy highway road construction). Plenty of challenges for myself, always because Jesus was in my passenger seat, but at 46...packing would be the greatest challenge yet...you touched a soul spot that I didnt realize was so strong. How many women packers do you see? Ive only been doing road construction for 8 years and I LOVE farming dirt, but something is whispering..."there is more". Glory be to God for the mustard seed He has planted in you. Hallelujah
Love your honesty I’m 60 yrs old but completely agree with everything you say I’m a huge turkey hunter got tired of doing it myself so I started guiding others for nothing just because the love of it no money involved to me just the love of what you do I got more joy and fulfillment out of help others than I could say yes your on a much bigger scale than I but cutting it short completely agree with what u say take care Billy all the best to you and your family 🦃seeya on the next mountain top 👍
Billy I have never made a comment on a you tube video, this is the first one. For me this is the best video you have made, and I have watched lots of your stuff. I feel like we are the same age and at the same place in life with lots of success in life and hunting behind us. But searching for more. This video has given me some guidance in what my next step or direction in life may be....helping others. Sounds corny but every dream I have ever had has been fulfilled. Well said. This is the attitude young men need to have. I decided to become a hunting guide, then a bail bondsman and bounty hunter, earn my Green Beret, and then become a contractor for a certain government agency. I didn't know how to do this before I started, but it is exactly like you said here. You did a great job of putting this into words.
Good advice brother, looking forward to meeting you Saturday at Salem church in Ashland. The outdoors has always been a special place. It declares Gods glory. Thank you for your work in the films. I work as a truck Michanic 38 years now lol ,I can remember how bad I wanted to be good at what I do as a young man , but now 38 years later and after the transformation of my heart 20 years ago I have come to realize that my ability to be what I am is a gift from God. I was telling the young guy I work with I’d rather be recognized as a man of God, then a good mechanic. The boys I work with put up with my constant witness to salvation in Christ Jesus but I sometimes wonder if they are listening. My heart morns for the unsaved.. I take comfort that the work of salvation is the lords business and I am just a witness. The truth is a tough pill to swallow to men in the world. And sometimes I just need to be in the woods and decompress. It is there were I feel closest to God and understand he is in control and sovereign over all.nature simply displays that. Thank you first and foremost for your boldness in Christ, and using you profession to share and witness in his name .
Thanks, that was inspiring...and practical... It reminds me of the song by Toby Mac "Way Beyond Me" where he talks about his dreams being way beyond him. Yet, that is how God created it, so that he (and all of us) would keep counting on Him to get there. Thanks for sharing!
