The Burning Barrel

When you’re seated on The Burning Barrel porch, overlooking 30 acres of Kansas prairie, you may realize it’s more than a farm, restaurant, and events space: it’s a celebration of our relationships with nature and each other.
Co-owners Brian Strecker and Kristin Werner are partners in both life and business. Brian is a chef whose passion for the freshest ingredient comes from his classical French training and decades of restaurant experience, and Kristin has been studying farming and holistic lifeways for 20 years. The result? A practice in regenerative agriculture and sharing the fruits of that labor with the community.
