I gave him 8 years of my love and understanding. Of those years he lived in my home. He wanted for nothing. He comes from toxic roots, I am a counselor and I tried to be there for him. Yes I was taken advantage of, His toxic behavior grew worse with drinking, sleeping around, gambling etc and my kindness was taken for weakness. I was at the hands of a narcissist who was being manipulated, lied to and kept around for the things my money could buy as he was unemployed. Superficial cuts to his arms to keep me there, to stay in the system of poor me, I can't work I am so depressed but had enough money given to him by the government to allow the drinking, the bars, the women etc. I suggested treatment for the childhood trauma but he was not interested but stayed in the company of the toxic mother and sister who supplied him with a place to take his women and a sister who supplied him with his drinks and women. He moved and I stepped back but told him when he decided to turn his life around I would be there. I decided to withdraw my energy and live my life for me.
