I've pumped a lot a of Copywrite through the years - especially in his EC days - back then he was really way ahead of most in the game.. I hope we're gonna see a lot more to Copywrite in this format - and generally other rappers with memorable tracks and albums behind them - artist who aren't known JUST for battles... I would love to see someone from Rhymesayers, or Army of The Pharoes - a match between Celph Titled And Copy would be legendary, especially sine they used to beef back in the days..

I bet a good number of ppl have never heard of these individuals or their battles. Celph Titled is nasty sick with the punchlines too !! In that case, an old version of Cage should step up to this new generation of battle rappers to see how well he can hang. He was deep and crazy mentally with the rhymes in his time. Respect.
I used to listen to a lot of Copywrites stuff back in the days.. Så awesome to finally see a legendary underground rapper, with actual dope albums, tracks and collabs behind him. Instead of battle rappers who are only known for battling. Hope we're gonna see more of these "debutes", it's way more interesting to see someone battle who you actually know and respect trough music, instead off all these kombattants you really can't relate to in any other ways than their battles.. Canibus could have started a trend to see actual classic artists engage in the format way more, but instead his battle had the reversed effect. Hopefully people like Copy and other recording/established artists can still turn that around - there's so many of my old idols I would just love to get in the ring..
sKoggs TheDJ I dont wanna be bias. Like, I never listened to Swollen Members like that, besides the stuff on SSX3, and Copywrite inspired me to write bars. Copywrite had punches though, even in a gimmick battle. This is a debatable battle with someone people consider the top battlers in the West. They should just set up Copy vs Madchild @ KOTD
+MissingNum oh my GOD copy vs. Madchild would be amazing! So far I would say they are definitely the two best industry rappers to step in the battle ring. Even though this was a gimmicky battle for a debut copy killed it you are right. I think Madchild's performance vs. Dirtbag Dan was the best performance by an industry rapper battling. His performance vs. Daylyt was dope too but I think the performance he had against DBD was batter.
Great battle, & Copyrights style/vocal projection is dope. Although one thing I noticed almost immediately was that he had some mannerisms & intonations similar to Sahtyre (back from WRC & GT days). Just check 8:10-8:20 for an example. Same thing with the hands and voice that Sahtyre always used to do in his battles lol.

Copy should battle the saurus or illmac. Those styles would compliment eachother, like Pat and Hollohan and Dumb and Tantrum. A certified classic like Fredo vs Bender, or Kid Twist vs Fresco. Thing is u gotta pin similar styles before contrasts. I hope Ganik reads this one day and puts Copy on a card like a business card
