This is because a striker would have changed the roles of players like Saka, Martinelli, Ode etc. If you look at the teams with focal points, the striker would have 30 goals and the player coming in second would have 8. It's being overly simplistic to think if Arsenal got a striker, Saka, Ode, Martinelli and the rest of the team would keep playing the same way and getting the same goals they would get without a striker. There is a reason Arsenal hasn't played with a 30 goal striker for a decade. As for Haverts. Watkins, Halaand, Salah, Jackson and many others have missed more big chances.
