Jimmy...you deserve a carpenters kiss for this one...I saw the plywood and thought, "first negative comment will be in the first 10". What? Low and behold, I was right. This is why I like you. You don't care about convention. You use what use, build what you build and that's that! All in less than 18 minutes!!
lulz.. that made me laugh waay harder than it should have. While watching this, i was wondering if he was actually going to be leaving the lock outdoors to rust...

Bravo! Fabulous that you have such useful help. I rebuilt three last year, all transplant gifts, all needed bases & various repairs & all outside with no protection & almost no help & all still not quite done, one has a crazed solar panel that I got second hand for ~$15, epoxied & works. They were all hard work, but they are such fabulous things, transformational in organising, keeping dry & places to set things up & work when possible. Thanks for sharing!
This is why I have watched you make for years Jimmothy. (That's my nickname for you now) I got at least 10 different tips/tricks this vid and they just keep coming every time! Thanks brother and hope your new year is twice as good as the last.
Judging by the shed in the video, I also have a shed big enough to build a shed in. ...roughly 4 sheds actually. 8 if you stack them. Had to make it that big to accommodate a front end loader. Now it's used mostly for woodworking. Loader is now free range.
Me río mucho con tus locuras, me divierte cuando tiras las herramientas como esos cocineros de Dubai cuando hacen los cortes de la carne...me muero de risa! Muy bueno el proyecto por cierto.
As someone who has spent a lot of time in garden sheds, this one looks well built and like it will be approximately 10,000,000 degrees in the heat of the summer.
That all tools end up falling! This construction! She is! just great! It's done the right way! She will never fall! And if the mud makes the work difficult! Spring will come soon and find this Shelter very well built and very Standing !! Thank you for sharing this work
After watching you make those latches, I'd love to see a milestone video similar to the bottle opening video. "50 ways to latch and lock your stuff" with latching and locking methods from simple to over engineered made of wood and metal. I think any of your fans would love something like that. I know I cant get enough. Great video!
Loved the shot of you laying back in exhaustion. Any of us who do all with passion. Forgetting to eat even. But with that exhaustion is a good feeling.
This gave me a dark yet optimistic glimpse into the future... your last breath, on the floor, finger somehow still on the trigger of a drill, building all the way through into the afterlife, still a better maker than 99% of the living. Hahaha! The world needs you for as many years as she can have you. Your contractual (from when you agreed in a comment 6 months ago) RUclips son, billi Maddox. 🥪🥪
You can have all the tools there are but you also need the experience, knowledge and ability to use them. Any idiot can saw a board into two pieces but to do it accurately takes a bit of practice.
Hey Jimmy, love what you do, it's really inspiring. I've managed to start several projects in the last few days, in no small part because I've been binge-watching your videos and listening to your podcast (Making It, for those who need to start) and they make me want to Make. Next step is to spray my name all over the place and start a successful RUclips channel. All the best!
Jimmy, Happy New Year!! You did it again!! It wa amazing to see how you put this together.. It's a great addition to your home.. I hope that the chickens doesn't think that it's their 2nd home.
It is finally good to see that "my idol" is actually HUMAN! (What do I mean?) Well it was fun to see him knock over material, drop tools and get frustrated!! Makes the rest of us not look so bad! LOL ......you finally found a good use for that lock! Another good one Jimmy....
Who, in their right mind, would order such a tiny shed from Diresta? The same labour, a slight increase in material cost, would have yielded something far superior. And, it's painted flat black. Diresta ... you did fine on the build, as the customer ordered. Customer, give your head a shake. You had a top notch builder working for you, and you chose the minimum, when you could have had splendid.
While you were building the roof I was thinking "I wonder how much those sections weigh", then when I saw the ancient Egyptian pyramid building techniques to install on the back half...I got my answer. Great build!
Awesome build Jimmy! Now I know how to go about putting the structure of a shed together! Thanks for that & I am bookmarking this for latter viewing..................... :)
I always dig the pre-fab projects... It's another layer of design to get them out the door in pieces and re--assemble. I hope you had a great Christmas brother.
Good looking shed and I like the way you prefabbed it in the shop. The roof prefabbing is genius. Gives me ideas for the "tiny house' down by the pond on the farm. Hope you have a wonderful 2019.
update on the Hitachi nail gun, for small framing jobs, I love this thing. the rafter hock gets in the way sometimes think I might take it off.. but it is nice to be able to hang it on a rafter or top plate at times. it only comes with 1 battery I suggest to get another so you have 2. this thing is compact easy to get into tight places, the biggest draw back is the weight. but hay! don't be a snowflake. I've shot a few thousand rds through this thing and its never misfired. Thanks Jimmy.
I think after all that hard work, I'm going to conceal my hinges (or use a hinge in which the plates are covered by the door frame). I don't have a Watch Chicken to let me know when someone has walked up to the shed, unscrewed the hinges, then slipped in to pull down the large pin and let the door fall outwards. Great project though. I need a shed. This video shows some great ideas.
You should have built it over the mower!! At least then it could have been in the dry! lol Glad to see we aren't the only ones crazy wet, last year was the wettest year on record here.
Que tal Jimmy soy Alberto Cabrera desde Guadalajara Jalisco Mexico. soy un admirador mas de todos tus proyectos en video ojala subieras mas de tus maquinas de imprenta yo tengo un taller de imprenta.
I want to see it painted, painted black Black as night, black as coal Thought of these lyrics as soon as you were painting it, haha. Nice build, making it look simple
Just one more effin' hit! (Thinly disguised Train Spotting reference). So many that I follow have been missing this past week, week and a half. Holidays....I get it. Thanks, dude
Hello Jimmy, the video is sooo cool. I had to laugh so when you attached your padlock. I wish you and your family a happy new year. Many greetings from Germany
really nice shed :-) great video :-)… and the lock… now it got a home to lock :-) that was a great finale for the lock. (and i want to build a shed;-)…)
He wants to quit? He's just going to do the same thing without a camera. Might aswell get some youtube money. This guy could youtube forever. A good break is always good though. And who the hell are we? If he wants to quit, he should. Im with you... you don't happen to be a duck, do you?
Jimmy, not sure what the weight difference would be, but have a look at Colorbond (Blue Scope Steel) from Aus. Pre-painted Corrugated Iron. Wouldn't need the heavy Ply wood slabs for the roof, just some battens and screw it down. Satellite View most Australian towns and you'll see it everywhere. Looks great and rust resistant.

"This new lock I made would be great on a shed!"
"But Jimmy, all of your sheds already have locks!"
"Hold my beer!" 🤣
...or "hold my coffee"...Jimmy doesn't drink : )
"Hold my keys"
"I have a Phillips"
(Only 2 screws keeping this thing secure) padlock is basically a hinge at this point haha
Oh look be built a shed for his lock.
lulz.. that made me laugh waay harder than it should have. While watching this, i was wondering if he was actually going to be leaving the lock outdoors to rust...
Hahahah, yea. He looks beat at the end too. "I guess i can put the lock on it now" hahahahahha
LoL.

I love that you are in the northeast and you put this structure together with only with nails. I give it one major snow storm and its gone.
This is why I have watched you make for years Jimmothy. (That's my nickname for you now) I got at least 10 different tips/tricks this vid and they just keep coming every time! Thanks brother and hope your new year is twice as good as the last.
The envy monster keeps tugging on my sleeve. '' JD has a shed big enough to build a shed in''
Haha!
I was thinking it's more like a small barn. Which makes me think of Matrioshka barns going from that big one down to the size of a small toolshed.
Judging by the shed in the video, I also have a shed big enough to build a shed in. ...roughly 4 sheds actually. 8 if you stack them. Had to make it that big to accommodate a front end loader. Now it's used mostly for woodworking. Loader is now free range.
Your videos are both funny and instructional. Thank you!
Me río mucho con tus locuras, me divierte cuando tiras las herramientas como esos cocineros de Dubai cuando hacen los cortes de la carne...me muero de risa! Muy bueno el proyecto por cierto.
Jimmy I love it when you have a call back to one of your older build videos. Keep them coming. 👍🏻👍🏻😊
As someone who has spent a lot of time in garden sheds, this one looks well built and like it will be approximately 10,000,000 degrees in the heat of the summer.
That's an optimistic estimate
Was thinking the same exact thing. A place to punish the farm help perhaps. 😊
No matter how many subscribers, no matter how many views you have, you're the Best !
This is awesome. Not only for the content but every video I learn some new tricks! Thanks JD!
That all tools end up falling!
This construction! She is! just great! It's done the right way! She will never fall!

Couldn't have picked a better day to put it back together....Thanks for the video.
Oh I forgot the soothing balm that is watching Jimmy & Brett build....I shall not waiver again...Great stuff lads :)
This is probably your funnest video so far. Nice work!
I love the fact that it was able to be moved to where it needed to be. That is an amazing project.
I'm thankful Jimmy slows his videos down to a speed we can comprehend. In real time that took him 18 seconds.
👍👍👍👍Ain't mud fun ! I have one guy I always take on crappy weather jobs because he always makes me laugh all day with his goofiness
This gave me a dark yet optimistic glimpse into the future... your last breath, on the floor, finger somehow still on the trigger of a drill, building all the way through into the afterlife, still a better maker than 99% of the living. I really like how everything he purchases is from Lowes--meaning many people can easily recreate this if they have the right tools.
and by right tools you mean a hammer a saw and screwdriver.
electricity just makes it faster.
You can have all the tools there are but you also need the experience, knowledge and ability to use them. Any idiot can saw a board into two pieces but to do it accurately takes a bit of practice.
@@oobaka1967 When I said tools, I meant both physical tools and the mental tools(skills/knowledge)
From boats to sheds Jimmy does it all :-) oh yeah did I mention my favorite activity blacksmithing he does that as well lol.. Great vid enjoyed it .
Hey Jimmy, love what you do, it's really inspiring. No one makes better videos than jimmy. Positive stuff thanks.
Nothing beats a DiResta upload! Looks great, Jimmy!
Awesome shed. You always make everything look so easy. Great video.
Nice when you have a room big enough to build a garden shed INSIDE! :-)
All your work I have seen you I admire your work very much Greetings to you 🇮🇶🇮🇶🇺🇸🇺🇸from Iraq
I think this is one of your funniest videos. I watch it often
Thanks Jimmy.....you just gave me a great idea on how to beat the local building inspector when I replace my garden shed!
My respect for you just dropped like a circular saw from a table.
Used to work for Lowe's. I'm proud your a partner with them. Great work
Jimmy, Happy New Year!! You did it again!! It wa amazing to see how you put this together.. It's a great addition to your home.. I hope that the chickens doesn't think that it's their 2nd home.
I love how efficient you are with all your cuts
It is finally good to see that "my idol" is actually HUMAN! (What do I mean?) Well it was fun to see him knock over material, drop tools and get frustrated!! Makes the rest of us not look so bad! LOL ......you finally found a good use for that lock! Another good one Jimmy....
I like the added comedy routine!!
Keep it up
Nothing beats a good old fashion Diresta video!
Who, in their right mind, would order such a tiny shed from Diresta? The same labour, a slight increase in material cost, would have yielded something far superior. And, it's painted flat black. Simply magnificent!! Now I am fired up to take on my carport project!! Thank you!!
Whoa...quite the muddy mess! The shed looks great!
It took me a month to build my shed and Jimmy only 18 minutes, but I wasn’t so tired in the end. Excellent job!
Wow Jimmy that big shop got full quick. Good job. Love the shed too.
great build!
You’re so graceful with that nail gun Jimmy. I mean really, you’re an inspiration to us all 😆
Glad to see upstate New York is and muddy and leafless as South Cacalca....
A smiled a big smile when I saw those loops. We watch enough to know what comes next. The Pirate lock
Now the Lock Picking Lawyer can steal your rake
Going to need to use one hell of a strong tensioner to get in that lock. Maybe a crowbar?
More like a Burke Bar
No need to pick the lock @@JeyGifford, just pull the hinge pins
Endless irony if LPL raked the lock.... to steal a rake.
Your my inspiraton. Gretings from Poland!
Nice job my brother, as always I have learned something from your video. Thank you
Awesome build Jimmy! Now I know how to go about putting the structure of a shed together! Thanks for that & I am bookmarking this for latter viewing..................... :)
Design of the handles are so sweet!
Hey, Jimmy. Love your stuff. Thanks for sharing.
I always dig the pre-fab projects... It's another layer of design to get them out the door in pieces and re--assemble. I hope you had a great Christmas brother.
thank you brother!!!
Nice Shed and I love the fact you worked your lock into it! I too built a shed but the inside of mine is a sports bar!!!!!
"Paint it black." - The Stones and Jimmy! Nice shed.
one for all - all for one.. u killed me with the suicidal saw.. :))
It's really for Spike 🐱 Great project!
Respect my friend! So many fun parts in the video, but I know also the planning and work involved. Love it.
Lowes sponsored video, with the Husky driver on the bench... ZFG. Jimmy your the best!
Truly an artist. Love the gussets being cut on the cnc machine btw. You are amazing
Good looking shed and I like the way you prefabbed it in the shop. The roof prefabbing is genius. Gives me ideas for the "tiny house' down by the pond on the farm. Hope you have a wonderful 2019.

Makes me want to build a shed....In the summer when its not raining though lol
Nice Lock. The doors can stay locked together when a thief unscrews the hinges.
CALCULO QUE SE HAN DEMORADO entre 1,30 Hr. A 2,00 Hr. en este proyecto ---- Les felicito ---- Bendiciones -----------------
Best part was throwing the saw👌👌
Que tal Jimmy soy Alberto Cabrera desde Guadalajara Jalisco Mexico. soy un admirador mas de todos tus proyectos en video ojala subieras mas de tus maquinas de imprenta yo tengo un taller de imprenta.
that nailgun is the real MVP
I want to see it painted, painted black
Black as night, black as coal
Thought of these lyrics as soon as you were painting it, haha. Nice build, making it look simple
another funny proejct !!! happy new year for you and your family
when Jimmy is in Spike mode, throwing things everywere ! nice podlock shed !
Just one more effin' hit! (Thinly disguised Train Spotting reference). So many that I follow have been missing this past week, week and a half. Holidays....I get it. Thanks, dude
i'd give anything to have the years of knowledge this guy has accumulated. i can't even build a birdhouse man
Spike finally got his own workshop :)
Hello Jimmy, the video is sooo cool. I had to laugh so when you attached your padlock. I wish you and your family a happy new year. Many greetings from Germany
What a great work 😂. I really love the action in this video .
really nice shed :-) great video :-)… and the lock… now it got a home to lock :-) that was a great finale for the lock. (and i want to build a shed;-)…)
Mr. DiResta, I wouldn’t hold it against you if you quit RUclips. Love ya, Martin
from California
He wants to quit? He's just going to do the same thing without a camera. Might aswell get some youtube money. This guy could youtube forever. A good break is always good though. And who the hell are we? If he wants to quit, he should. Im with you... you don't happen to be a duck, do you?
His videos are the best!
I’ve been finishing building my workshop in the wonderful upstate weather, and the muddy walk at the end of the day is the best and the worst.
Great Job Diresta, I know weather didnt help any but it looks freaking amazing! UDAMAN!
Love the concept, the design, the build, everything.
Jimmy: Your so funny!! Ha ha ha ha You can do anything. That was the fastest shed job I have ever seen, :-) :-)
Nice work Jimmy, enjoy so much the video.
Looked like you became unhinged hanging that door 😂 awesome job looks great. Always rains when a shed goes up eh!
Greetings from Russia . long been watching your work. I like.
That lock makes the entire thing look more awesome!
One of my favorites. I love you trolling the trolls with all of the lumber and tool disrespect. Really laughed at this one.
As always Jimmy, very entertaining.
This guy is beter at reality than me at lego !
The title should say ”Worlds fastest shed builder! 18 minutes!”
Jimmy, not sure what the weight difference would be, but have a look at Colorbond (Blue Scope Steel) from Aus. Pre-painted Corrugated Iron. Wouldn't need the heavy Ply wood slabs for the roof, just some battens and screw it down.

The padlock looks awesome on this
