Nice video. I have a 1981 240d and one thing you need to make sure the oil pressure tube is not over tight but not under tighten with reinstall or you will have oil all over the place.
Thank you for your comment. On this channel I do not have it, but I do have it on my Mercedes W124 channel. It will be very similar to the W123 cluster.
Bonjour Hérve, merci pour Les videos sur Mercedes W123. J'avais une 'combi' S123. Connaiz Vous un merchant des parts nouveaux ous utulizer, qui envoyer par DHL au Liban? Merci!
Hi, I cannot place links here because my comment will disappear with youtube. I have that video on my W116 channel, just search my name on youtube (Hervé Collette) to see my other channels or search for the channel "Mercedes-Benz W116"
You left out the most important part of the reinstall!! Unhook the speedo cable in the engine compartment from the block and pull out enough slack to move the cluster back enough to reach behind the back. Bill
Thank you for your comment. I am sorry that the video is not to your liking, thank god for you, there is other channels on YT. I have NEVER had to unhook the cable in the engine compartment. Maybe your W123 is a one off where they had to make it extra difficult knowing you would own it.... God knows. Maybe you can start your own channel too, and show how it is done. Looking forward to subscribe to your channel
Come to think of it My 123 is a 300CD turbo. It has a factory new engine and might be a little different than what you have seen. Rest assured, unless you detach the strap located near the bellhousing, there is no way to access the backside connections for the oil pressure line and the speedometer. Regards, Bill@@mercedes-benzw123
@@billlucas4332 I appreciate your comment, and you do not have to reassure me. I currently have 1 W116, 2 W123, 2 W124 and 1 W126 and all of them can have the instrument cluster removed and installed without ANY problem whatsoever. Now because in your case you cannot make it, which is your problem, so the video is wrong and need to be adapted for your case? Kindly, start shooting videos and show us how it is done because you are so good at it.
This is exactly what I have told you. This is not because you have problems with something that the video is wrong. If I can make, you too. Now strangely, we do not have your experience.
A very nice video, well explained and I enjoyed it.
Thank you for your kind comment
Great Video!

Hello, thank you for your patience on how to remove it. I am planning on removing it from my 83 wagons.
Thank you for your comment 👍

You were going to show us how to remove cluster you already removed
You mean if the car has been clocked several times
I have made 2 videos on the cluster
Didn't mean for you to take it as a personal insult. Just been my experience. Bill

Thank you for this
