Hello Anil Ji, Great question, There are few replacements you can try however best response is from the orginal grey coloured ones only. Other options 1. Bottle coils 2. Latest royal Enfield coils 3. CNG auto coils I hope this helps.

RD 350s( 30 bhp) in India were underpowered compared to those in Japan , Europe and USA ( 39 bhp). India had two versions - High Torque ( 30.5 bhp) Low Torque ( 27 bhp).
Hello Ajay, maintenance kafi hai. Main problem acha mechanic milne ke hai ,kuin bike bahut purani hai toh mechanics nahi hai. Ek baar set hone ke baad koi problem nahi ati. I hope this helps.
Maintenance is not easy but not really difficult either. Once you get an rd350, you should learn how to clean and tune/sync carburetors on your own. Not a single mechanic will tune the carburetors perfectly. If you want to really enjoy your ride and experience proper 2 stroke thrill, you must definitely fine tune it yourself. If you don't learn then you'll be wasting time and money on tasks that can be done by yourself.

RD 350 के अलावा Jawa 250, Yezdi 250 में 2 सलैंसर होता था और आज भी Jawa के हर मॉडल में होता है। Jawa काफी पुरानी बाइक रही है। RD 350 जब निकली थी 1983 में तब Yedzi का fall down शुरू हो चुका था और 1990 तक वो Showroom में दिखी थी मुझे जहाँ तक याद है। इसके बाद शोरूम बैंड हो गयी।

Dear Sachin, It is very difficult to predict the price after 10 years, the govt policies keep changing. You should only buy an RD if you think you can commit all of your time , money and above all if you have patience. I hooe this helps.

Hi Even I was searching for RD 350 but due to budget issue I didn’t get one and later I brought RX135 4 speed. Now I have one query that as govt s planning to stop or scrap vehicles which are very old now . So do u think we should prefer now to buy RD ? As if govt makes rules strict then it’s like I’ll loose 2 lakh straight away .
The scrappage policy doesn't mean the govt would confiscate your bike. You just have to pay more taxes to keep it running on the road. The bike is yours to keep but it would be an expensive affair.
My brother, It might not be right to compare the 40 year old legend to the latest bike. The rush of the 2storke is very addictive however I won't say you are not right. You have your perspective and I respect it.

very great bike ! most economical bike . gives you around 70kmpl+ milege even though its old , its the 1st 4 stroke of india. Being a 4 stroke you can get it for way cheaper like around 20k . i would say go for it :) my friend has one and its a great bikes .btw im fan of 2 strokes

i wan to make a small correction here , the LT introduced with 32.5 BHP and the LT 27 OR 27.3 BHP only. in HT the transport port of the cylender block was slightly bigger then the LT. the LT had conical shape at the end of the cylencer. the HT had plug short , over heating issues and very low mileage in city riding conditions. and the most headach in the HT was the exhaust chip wich was fitted to in crease the compression. the chip was fitted into the block with help of 2 screws wich were getting loose and makes the chip loose and damaged the cylender and the piston.
Yes it one of the best bike Yamaha and Escorts Motors produced. However buying it now is a wastage of money because of the following reasons. 1) Spare parts are not available at all. 2) None of the RTOs/DTOs in India will be able to reregister these bikes because these bikes are more than 20 years old and are not BS compliant. 3) The mileage of these bikes are too less. Not even 7 kms - 9 kms per litre of petrol. 4) It's useless buying these 2nd hand or 3rd hand used bikes at an exorbitant price. It is better to buy an used BSIV compliant car at INR. 4 Lacs - INR. 4.5 Lacs.

I corrected the papers and modified it for exactly INR. 50,000/- in the year 2007. I used it till 2013 and now it's lying in my garage because I use my car. Again I want to service it and use it. However I fell I will again buy a RE BSII or BSIV compliant because of mileage and electric start. The old Bullet is a de-compressor model and it's back kick is deadly. Anyway it was nice communicating with you. I stay in Kolkata and we get good 2nd hand Bullets out here. The price is also very moderate and it doesn't pinches our pocket. From INR. 70,000/- to INR. 90,000/- good BSIV REs are available with upto date papers. Just take a not of my contact no. +91-8017619325 / +91-6290938089 respectively.
People who buy these bikes buy them cause there is a specific reason and love behind it, you wouldn’t see anyone just buying this bike just for the sake of buying A BIKE.. if that was the reason, you’d buy a dominar and be happy with it’s modern technology 🤣🤣 Also your first two points tells me you don’t know about these bikes unfortunately.. Addressing your #1 point, plenty of spares are available locally and internationally. You just need the right contact and the knowledge :) Your #2 point, if you have all the documents and everything is upto date, it’s very easy to get it registered at your local RTO by paying the sufficient state wise road taxes. Your #3 point, if someone is buying these 350cc two stroke bikes to get good mileage, they’re better off in a CD 100, Hero Honda Splendour or a Bajaj palatina 🤣🤣🤣🤣….People buy these bikes for the sound and the raw legendary 2 stroke 2 cylinder performance of it 😁 Your 4th point itself tells me you are someone who carries no value and knowledge or have never ridden a powerful 2 stroke motorcycle.. people like you are better off buying the mileage giving common man bikes.. People who buy RDs are normally enthusiasts who carry the adrenaline for that raw torque and power experiences. Wish you a good day ;)

No brother not worth for a middle class person even if he loves it... But Power of money changes worth of things... Someone who has tons of money (and likes this bike) will say it's worth even for 4 lakhs and like wise.... these rich people are the reason prices of Rd have skyrocketed just because they can they buy at any price.... There was a time when Rd was being called a middleclass guys superbike as these bikes were available for 20 k or so people used to buy and restore and enjoy by atmost spending almost 50 k in total... Then came these rich guys and rest you know....

I have a thunderbird , due to my being in different location I could not renew the registration on time and I can't transfer to my current state unless I have NoC . I don't want to scrap my bike .. It is in absolutely running condition .

प्रदूषण नीति के कारण rx100, rx135, सुजुकी max 100, आदि सभी गाड़ियां बंद हो गई। क्या केवल गाडियो से ही प्रदूषण हो रहा है। मेरे विचार से 2 स्ट्रोक गाड़ियों में भले ही tax 4 गुना बढ़ा देना था परंतु बंद नही करना चाहिए था। अब जो शौक रखते है मज़बूरी में पुरानी गाड़ियों को रिस्टोर करवाकर उपयोग कर रहे है।

These are sleeved cylinders done to perfection, running 2nd over size.
I also have a set of unsleeved LT cylinders with 2nd size also .

Good RD is rare to find so whichever you get should be alright ☺️
i wan to make a small correction here , the LT introduced with 32.5 BHP and the LT 27 OR 27.3 BHP only. in HT the transport port of the cylender block was slightly bigger then the LT. the LT had conical shape at the end of the cylencer. the HT had plug short , over heating issues and very low mileage in city riding conditions. and the most headach in the HT was the exhaust chip wich was fitted to in crease the compression. the chip was fitted into the block with help of 2 screws wich were getting loose and makes the chip loose and damaged the cylender and the piston.

Yes it one of the best bike Yamaha and Escorts Motors produced. However buying it now is a wastage of money because of the following reasons.
1) Spare parts are not available at all.
2) None of the RTOs/DTOs in India will be able to reregister these bikes because these bikes are more than 20 years old and are not BS compliant.
3) The mileage of these bikes are too less. Not even 7 kms - 9 kms per litre of petrol.
4) It's useless buying these 2nd hand or 3rd hand used bikes at an exorbitant price. It is better to buy an used BSIV compliant car at INR. 4 Lacs - INR. 4.5 Lacs.

@@2mad4bikes Sir I have a Royal Enfield 350 CC 1984 model. It's a second hand bike that I bought in the year 2003, for an unbelievable price of INR. 10,000/- (CF & Tax fail). I corrected the papers and modified it for exactly INR. 50,000/- in the year 2007. I used it till 2013 and now it's lying in my garage because I use my car. Again I want to service it and use it. However I fell I will again buy a RE BSII or BSIV compliant because of mileage and electric start. The old Bullet is a de-compressor model and it's back kick is deadly. Anyway it was nice communicating with you. I stay in Kolkata and we get good 2nd hand Bullets out here. The price is also very moderate and it doesn't pinches our pocket. From INR. 70,000/- to INR. 90,000/- good BSIV REs are available with upto date papers. Just take a not of my contact no. +91-8017619325 / +91-6290938089 respectively.

There is no comparison between these bikes.
People who buy these bikes buy them cause there is a specific reason and love behind it, you wouldn’t see anyone just buying this bike just for the sake of buying A BIKE.. if that was the reason, you’d buy a dominar and be happy with it’s modern technology 🤣🤣
Also your first two points tells me you don’t know about these bikes unfortunately..
Addressing your #1 point, plenty of spares are available locally and internationally. You just need the right contact and the knowledge :)
Your #2 point, if you have all the documents and everything is upto date, it’s very easy to get it registered at your local RTO by paying the sufficient state wise road taxes.
Your #3 point, if someone is buying these 350cc two stroke bikes to get good mileage, they’re better off in a CD 100, Hero Honda Splendour or a Bajaj palatina 🤣🤣🤣🤣….People buy these bikes for the sound and the raw legendary 2 stroke 2 cylinder performance of it 😁
Your 4th point itself tells me you are someone who carries no value and knowledge or have never ridden a powerful 2 stroke motorcycle.. people like you are better off buying the mileage giving common man bikes.. People who buy RDs are normally enthusiasts who carry the adrenaline for that raw torque and power experiences.

RD is invaluable , if you are getting a good one for 2.5L in my opinion it is good .
No brother not worth for a middle class person even if he loves it... But Power of money changes worth of things... Someone who has tons of money (and likes this bike) will say it's worth even for 4 lakhs and like wise.... these rich people are the reason prices of Rd have skyrocketed just because they can they buy at any price.... There was a time when Rd was being called a middleclass guys superbike as these bikes were available for 20 k or so people used to buy and restore and enjoy by atmost spending almost 50 k in total... Then came these rich guys and rest you know....

The process is to pay green tax and yearly evaluation of old bikes to continue the registration.

if the registration has expired , is tyere a way to renew it because in Delhi they are not allowing 15 yr old bikes registration .. I have a thunderbird , due to my being in different location I could not renew the registration on time and I can't transfer to my current state unless I have NoC . I don't want to scrap my bike .. It is in absolutely running condition .

प्रदूषण नीति के कारण rx100, rx135, सुजुकी max 100, आदि सभी गाड़ियां बंद हो गई। क्या केवल गाडियो से ही प्रदूषण हो रहा है। मेरे विचार से 2 स्ट्रोक गाड़ियों में भले ही tax 4 गुना बढ़ा देना था परंतु बंद नही करना चाहिए था। अब जो शौक रखते है मज़बूरी में पुरानी गाड़ियों को रिस्टोर करवाकर उपयोग कर रहे है।

@@2mad4bikes Probably won't happen. Our Government is filled with morons and the last thing they are going to care about is us enthusiasts. The market for the RD350 will be strong regardless and clean paper RCs with strong re-passing history won't be affected that much.
Furthermore, we are paying substantial green tax, so..I highly doubt they are going to be interested cutting some free change anyway.

the twin cam brake works very fine , if you adjust them properly even the drum brakes also work as the disk bake on the RD 350.
