I'm not sure what's more impressive: how you've fought to get back to where you are -- *or* -- that you can roll right into RUclips-speak immediately after a race. 🤔 either way, great job! (Could've used a shot of the pre-race coffee... that's the only disappointing thing about all of this...)
You know it was a dark hotel room at 2:30am when i mixed a Starbucks instant coffee powder in my little cup of hot water (and Sandi was still sleeping)....so no glory filming the "coffee making process" 🤣
Just finishes a marathon in 2:31, and starts talking about a long ultra up next. Love it! That's what makes you and your channel so great--all that energy and enthusiasm for running of all kinds.
When you first shared your lung situation, I was very nervous about your running future. I am very glad that things have worked out so you could continue to do what you love.
Great effort and congrats again Sage! You came back from gnarly health issues but you fought back! Awesome job and such an inspiration to many. Props to Coach Sandy! ❤ you both!
Such a joy to watch you go back to road marathons after all these years and everything you went through. Hope to see many more to come Sage, you are a legend!
I am sure this year will hold a very special place in your heart with your performance in TDS and now the road marathon. I admire your perseverance and attitude, your tips and sense of humour. That´s what keep me coming back and always looking forward your next videos. Enjoy the Xmas holidays and a very well deserved rest time to face the incoming new year 2024. Cheers!
Freaking awesome execution! DUDE! You're by far my favorite pro runner and have inspired me so many times. I truly cant thank YOU enough Sage! Looking forward to meeting you one day.
Thank you for sharing more of your inspiration! You and Sandi provide behind the scenes encouragement that helps so many runners want to keep going for it! My son and daughter in-law live in Honolulu... he's been trying to get me to run the Marathon for years now... maybe I'll make next year my year there for my grandkids!✌🏼
We don’t always see eye to eye on certain things, but it doesn’t mean I don’t respect your talent and enjoy your videos. Great to see your health is 100%. 💪
That's amazing! Thank you for the video. We are running the marathon this year and this was super helpful to get an idea of what we are facing, especially that uphill section towards the end. Your pace was incredible!
I just ran 2:40 last month and I cant tell how happy I am Ive been training for a while but I almost hit the wall in km 35 hopefully next year I can hit 2:30 that would be a dream.
Congratulations Sage! I love your content and as a disabled runner you give me inspiration to train through and around my condition. I hit 20 PRs this year and I'm not slowing down! Excited to see what your next race is, enjoy the beach!
Congrats on 7th place Sage!! Thank you for coming to Hawaii to race! It’s a tough one due to the conditions, but you definitely crushed it. I’m glad that you were able to use the videos. Btw, my brother Daryl filmed the third video(coming off the highway at mile 22) that I uploaded so props to him too. We wanted to join your shakeout run but had a previous engagement.
hey tell Daryl thanks! Sorry I only saw what names uploaded certain video clips...I was wondering how you got to so many places so fast (and it seemed like the voice was different in that one clip!)
Congrats Sage that’s a good run. I was trying to remember when the last marathon ran last road marathon it’s been a while so good job man congratulations.
Hawai looks interesting to visit, but running marathon there looks hard: too hot, too humid, too early start (4:30???) I'll park for now that idea somewhere :) Congrats for such good result after that great come-back!
Amazing running Sage, what a awesome time, wow under those hot conditions, great stuff, good to see Sage is 100% back onwards & upwards 😀🥳👊🏼👍🏼🏃🏽♂️👏🌴🌲✅
WOW great race there man. I've never done a full marathon, but I would like to do at least one eventually. Most I've done up to in training was a half marathon, but that was just a half marathon and it took me about 1:40 to complete. Also, all four of the 10ks I've done were in the early fall in high humid temps with some moderate inclines on the race courses. I'm surprised by the amount of gels and Gatorade you used but it is a very wise strategy to take all the aid station things you need. That definitely helps to have people cheering you on as you go as well.
I'm not sure what's more impressive: how you've fought to get back to where you are -- *or* -- that you can roll right into RUclips-speak immediately after a race. 🤔 either way, great job! (Could've used a shot of the pre-race coffee... that's the only disappointing thing about all of this...)
Oh wow this is a serious comment
Not a true serious runner like you
You know it was a dark hotel room at 2:30am when i mixed a Starbucks instant coffee powder in my little cup of hot water (and Sandi was still sleeping)....so no glory filming the "coffee making process" 🤣
If there's no clip of your coffee with avocados and toast is it even a running video?
@@Vo2maxProductionsyes! early coffee filming would have given this video a 10!

damn dude I am so happy for you! congrats!
Woohoo!!! That's a great day with the weather conditions! I heard a lot of people wilted with the humidity! Congratulations!!
Great work Sage, super good idea negative splitting in such high humidity, 86 percent is insane!
Hawai looks interesting to visit, but running marathon there looks hard: too hot, too humid, too early start (4:30???) I'll park for now that idea somewhere :) Congrats for such good result after that great come-back!
Jeez. Negative splitting in those conditions speaks of your considerable experience. Very impressive!
Amazing running Sage, what a awesome time, wow under those hot conditions, great stuff, good to see Sage is 100% back onwards & upwards 😀🥳👊🏼👍🏼🏃🏽♂️👏🌴🌲✅

Solo effort, in the Kelvin Kiptum's style 👏, great race in tough conditions... Congratulations Sage
Way to rock it. I was there a few months ago and it was hot.
Good job sage!
So glad for you, the fact you had a great race and looked fresh AF in the after race interview! My guess is "Tarawera" for next Ultra?
Major congrats! Quite a change in temp and humidity and elevation from training vs race day!
Just the warm up with Sade pays all the journey...LOL, Cheers from Chile......thanks for your motivational videos!!!!
Good stuff, Sage! Glad to see you back after your health issues.
Told you you'd smash it. Slower starts suite you. Well done.
Great work Sage, great run 😃 and considering your recent setbacks, that's a strong comeback 🎉🎉
