Boys thank you for this. It was a magical trip down memory lane and you made this Head boy a very proud old boy.

Memorabilia is distributed throughout the boarding house. Currently all jerseys/vests are hanging on the landing at a the top of the stairs.

My grand father and father were in Rissik house. I personally finished highschool overseas so didn't complete the chain.

So that's how Rissik House inside looks like. From outside it looks small.

Boarding school is not that good. You will miss home, you will be hungry with little remedy to it but to eat snacks (IF you can afford them) in between the lousy food they give which you have little choice but eat, there is no privacy hence no real sense of individuality or self, no parental leadership or guidance (you basically with peers all day long), it tends to reduce the strength of the relationship between children and parents, its basically a form of artificial orphanage.
Boarding school is essentially good for the school (as it makes more money from typical hefty boarding fees) and the busy/distant/absent parents.
For the student, how can anyone be better off in an institution as opposed to being at home?

I’m sorry that your experience as a boarder wasn’t what you expected.
There are also so many positives to boarding.
Education means different things to different people.
