You have no reason see the team right behind you, that's the reason it doesn't show it.
When you are above the necessary threshold it shows who is above you and the first person under the threshold so you know how far you are
When you are under, it shows who is under you and the first person with the points necessary to reach the threshold
It makes sensez it's the best way to do it
The right panel is not that complicated to understand, Punch.
If you're above the elim threshold (light blue), above you will appear the team that's one position above you points-wise, and below will show the team that's right below the elim threshold, which makes sense because you can have a better idea of how many points you need to surpass to not get killed at the end of a round.
If you're below the elim threshold (red), above you will appear the team that's just above it so that you know how many points you need to achieve to get to the next stage, and below will show the team right behind you points-wise.
The reason it doesn't show you who's right behind/in front of you all the time is probably because many teams can have the same amount of points all at once, so it's not really a good indication of how safe/close to safety you are.

@@ThatPunchKidLIVE I mean it took my buddies 2 hours to notice what that Aztec rune up top was and that was after I explained it to them after an hour of me trying to make sense of it myself. You are not alone on the overwatch style brainrot that is the UI in apex sometimes.

That whole killfeed is pretty much identical in Control mode, people are just non-stop killing each other all the time
Valk buffs are really nice. Now you can do rocket punch cancel easier, making her rockets much more spammable now

7:13 The left perk "Full Tank" says 25% extra fuel, but it honestly feels like its doubled you can fly twice as long. Kinda like when she gots first released.
21:02 If you move left and right while in skydive, you will make it almost impossible for people to hit you in the air.
10:10 They nerfed it in a way that it cost 25% of your fuel tank per click if you spammed it - so 3 spams and you where out of fuel. Luckily they reverted that change with the latest buffs.
Valkyrie started off as a Recon legend, and I've been wondering when they're dropping a new one, so this is an Easter egg win/win for me
this is the most unique mode theyve had in like 4 years
Valk has been so fun lately. I really like the missile changes specifically because now I feel like I can actually use them aggressively instead of, "haha, annoying 25 damage out!" (the enemy is behind a rock and I can't capitalize on it). The new jetpack addition of getting your fuel out feels nice because waiting 8 seconds for the fuel to start refilling was such a turn off. Don't even get me started on her recon potential with the one perk.
I agree this is a very clever combination of modes!
I think flying with valkyrie is faster in general now - atleast what i have tested in the firing range - so you should be able to dodge bullets without spamming spacebar.
i watch punch at 0.5x so it lasts longe

I think the reset points is great, it means you can’t get in the lead and stay by a landslide if you’re fighting a seperate team against someone who capped a point alone
is the highlight enemies when ads is a game mode thing or it's valks passive?
this mode like many others is half cooked and not finished to the full potential
