Aya's theme. ...Honestly, half the reason I love Aya so much is how much wonderful wordplay potential she offers. ARE YOU HEARING ALL THESE PUNS? It suits her after all; she is a writer who cleverly arranges words to stir up new incidents... She is also literally a "kamikaze" paparazzi, a reckless god of the wind. Her wild ventures in the photography games (delivering some of the funnest gameplay in the whole series) are downright suicide missions, but she's tough as a typhoon and cool as a breeze and she can handle it. How can you NOT love a character like this?
By the way, sorry for being so slow in uploading these videos; I'll try to make like a wind god and pick up the pace.

I'm a student journalist for my university, and I couldn't get this song out of my head today as I left a talk given by the head of my university that I'm writing an article about.
I love how you always capture just really what deeper concept or idea these character represents. Your choice to follow and explore the innate subjectivity and creativity that is media reporting was a superb choice for Aya, and listening to it right as I'm about to start writing really fills me with a sense of power!
The part I love the most here really feels a mantra for what it is to be a journalist:
"No, no more waiting; I'm creating
Something worthy of the page
To be the next defining image of the age."
Now, it's time for me to get to work. From my first simple sentence and up until the last period of the piece, I've got to create the blur worthy of the page!

I'm always impressed with how all of lyrica's songs make someone think about their life and/or occupation and how they relate to the song and/or character. I guess some credit goes to zun to for making characters that capture their occupation and job really well while also showing the relationships between their jobs and personalities. Although, I always find lyrica's songs help me notice details about the character or their original songs that I didn't notice before too.

You know, despite what Aya may seem like she is after all still a reporter that works for a newspaper company and, companies like that will always have to speak the truth no matter what or their business future, past, and present will be completely disregarded if one little lie no matter what it is has been told.

+Nathan Xiong (CannedPsycho) Hmm. This may or may not be true in the real world. But in a fantasyland like Gensokyo, where common sense is dead, and where the newsgirl's official title is the "Traditional Reporter of Fantasy," I can easily see how she can makes a business out of lies.
Moreover, something really interesting about Aya's false reports is that they often end up true after all... A lot of what this song is about is the way that concept is addressed in PoFV: her "sin" is that she's always stirring up too much trouble, because writing provocative things might cause things to happen. It's like, you write about a commotion, and it throws people into a commotion. Then, even if it was a lie, it's technically true in the end. You can't judge her badly for that... (well, but Eiki does.)

+CannedPsycho What Lyrica said, and Aya works strictly for herself and, given the isolationist nature of Youkai mountain (her primary audience, no matter how wide-ranged she may deliver her paper), those mountain youkai may know or care little for how much of her paper is lies and conjecture (especially given that newspaper making seems to be an unofficial past time among Crow Tengu, giving plenty of variety, though the others don't deliver off the mountain).

Yeah, kinda, but she does try to bring the truth out. The problem is she tends to either exagerate the articles too much or make light of important things. Moreover, she has a bad habit of placing her opinion everywhere instead of keeping an objective view on her articles. In that sense her newspapers are more like tabloids than actual news, but at least she tries, dammit!
