@xrelik This so triggered me. I just can't even fathom how someone would look at a superhero film and say "that isn't a accurate portrayal of mental illness". GLASS Movie Review - 9/10 (2hrs 9mins) What a humbling end to a fantastic trilogy. However, I know this film is going to be divisive. Some, like me, will love it. Unfortunately, some will hate it...but I'll get to that later. When the credits started rolling, I genuinely sat there with my mouth open, in awe. M. Night Shyamalan is one of few directors that can take you into their mindset with their writing. His script is so articulate and elaborate. His writing is genius level, whether or not the screenplay or cinematography is. This is most definitely a character based film, and not a action based superhero film like depicted in the trailers, so if you go in expecting "action", you're going to be sorely disappointed. If you watched Unbreakable at 10yo, it would've been boring, slow and lacked any action whatsoever. Fortunately, when I first watched Unbreakable, I was already 21yo and I loved it! At that age your tastes, values and priorities are already quite defined. So in that light, Glass takes on a very consistent tone to Unbreakable. On the corollary of that, if you didnt enjoy Unbreakable, you will feel akin to Glass. Whilst everyone did an amazing job characterizing their role, none did it better than James McAvoy. The quick-switch between his 20 or so personailties were seemless. McAvoy isnt known for method acting, but you can tell he was so commited to his role that he would've lived and breathed those characters in his day to day life prior to, as well as during shooting. The following are some interesting Eastereggs and tidbits to look out for, that made me gigity as a huge fan of this franchise: -The colour palette was beautiful. Each time you see Willis, the setting by a tinge of green. And similarly, Jackson with purple and yellow with McAvoy. -The multiple callbacks from characters from Unbreakable, 19yrs ago. -Shyamalan used some old (never released) footage from Unbreakable in a flashback scene. -The score from Unbreakable. Love that score.
There is something going on in Hollywood when it comes to M. Night, maybe he pissed off the wrong people etc. But every time his movies come out they get unfairly judged. Maybe two or three of his movies are as bad as the critics say. The rest are good to decent. Thank you guys for a positive review. You can review a movie without being ugly and negative about it.
Nothing going on in Hollywood against him, his last 2 movies (split and the visit) are certified fresh on rotten tomatoes, so there is no bias against him. Glass just isn't a good movie. Saw it last night, it is a mess, confusing and poorly edited to say the least. The rating in rotten tomatoes reflect that.
@@giuseppep.7180 Some of the reviews on rotten tomatoes reflect that but not all. Maybe not a bias but something is going on. Movies are art. You simply view them and see what you get. All opinions are for sure valid. We not meant to agree on everything. It's just the way people phrase there arguments and points that rub me the wrong way. For example, your statement is phrased as a fact and you choose to back up your statement with the fact that rotten tomatoes agrees. Well, the rub of this statement is that you don't. Need to back it up. Unless your in movies and you have studied film what you say about it is your opinion and it's ok. What the reviewers say about the film is ok as well. It's only when people say things like the way you say that makes me think we'll it's a fact and it's not. It's not a fact because there isn't one way to make movies or to tell a story. The statements you said suggests that there is one way, and that you couldn't follow the story or derive meaning from the movie which I highly doubt that it's true. This is not about the movie per say, I'm just using this movie as an example because movies like these always cause a divide when discussing movies are supposed to be fun and uniting. We can disagree and still have fun. It's only when someone HAS to be right and be on "top" is when things get crazy. The funny thing is that there is no conversation referrees or conversation games that turn out winners. It's all just perception and what the people of the conversation walk away from. I see your point and accept it but I will definitely have to see it for myself.
@@Dr.Beetlejuice110 There is a lot of I disagree with in your comment. "your statement is phrased as a fact" Every sentence anyone states in a movie review could be considered fact, unless a person put "I think" in front of it? Obviously, all reviews are subjective, but putting a synonym of "to my mind" in every sentence doesn't make for enjoyable content. It's obvious a review is subjective. "isn't one way to make movies" Sure there isn't but there are conventions and tropes, such as characterology, the hero's journey, camera angle rules, narrative points, etc. These are established elements that help to create an interesting movie. Obviously, you don't have to follow them every time, and if you are a good director, your movie might work even if you stray away from these, but most films are bound by some conventions. His statement didn't suggest there is only one way to make movies either way. "movies like these always cause a divide when discussing movies" Isn't a movie people disagree on a more interesting topic for discussion then a movie we all agree on? I saw the movie too yesterday, and it was pretty bad. Please, note I didn't use a version of "I think" in my previous sentence, but that still means it's an opinion and not fact.
@David John I definitely don't think he sucks. He's had some bad movies but he is still an artist and he is definitely one of the greats. He has a place in our culture and I will give him that respect. He gave us the famous line "I see dead people".
@@kabeltelevizio I don't see anything wrong with reviewers saying in my opinion or people in conversations qualifying what they say as there opinion. I've done it and I've seen others do it and as opposed to the later and conversations of different opinions have gone way smoother and less hate. The point of my comment was more a philosophy of how discussions of movies can be had. To make for more enjoyable conversations. Conversing like this should be entertaining because it puts a light on the content and not the mere fact someone may disagree and insults can be flown at one another.
SPOILER WARNING !!: Hey, I watched glass. I didn't find it bad at all. It was actually kind of intriguing and different. Yeah, the last 20 min were kind of shaky but it all fitted in. For me, I thought they didn't shape up Sarah Paulsons arc so well. Like she is part of this society that want these people dead and something like that, I kind of didn't understand that part so well but it was on a whole a good watch. I hope M Night gets some more chances to showcase his brilliance in the thriller genre and hid penchant for twists.
Pooja Bhat her role is to convince superheroes that they are ordinary. The thing is that all the superheroes existed in real life, and this society either killed them, or performed lobotomy on them. As I understood Dunn was the first one who she almost convinced he was just imagining it. But in the end he was sure he had powers, so they killed him.
THANK YOU - This was one of the best reviews/breakdowns that I have seen for GLASS. The things that a lot of critics hated about it - You guys explained how those things fit the trilogy, and the overall story (Without giving away any SPOILERS (Thank for that)). This is one of my most anticipated movies of 2019, and it seems like there is a "sharp-line" down the middle with either loving it, or hating it (I'm a big fan of M. Night, and some of his movies that critics HATED, I love and own today, so I'm not going to pay too much attention to those BIG TIME Hollywood critics, and just go into the theaters with an open mind, and enjoy the film).
the online community is the general audience. we are one and the same. the distinction lies between the audience and "critics". critics are bought and paid for. all they want is to virtue signal politically. if they can't use a certain movie to do that, then they hate that movie. period.
Lostin Thegarden “virtue signaling,” “agenda,” “they’re anti White males,” etc. Please, I know Rightwing buzzwords. Don’t try to claim monopoly on reality.
My cousin and I watch Split a couple of years ago. Now as we just watched it's sequel, we can definetely say we were speechless. We never expected any flashy scenes in the first place because Split never did any of those. But we still liked this movie because of the unexpected plot twists that the movie gave to us. So if you never watched this movie, just sit tight and enjoy it like any movie you came across because at the end, it is JUST a movie. You don't need to complicate things. You just enjoy it as it is.
M. Night was quoted stating he’s not interested in a fourth movie in this franchise, but I’d love to see a Netflix series showcasing Dunn’s adventures over the past 15 or 16 years. Perhaps the actor who played his son would be up for it and they could re-cast Dunn for Netflix.
I have been watching movies since I was a kid probably more then your average person. I saw this with a friend and we both thought it was great from beginning to end. Forget about what else has come out since the last 2, this movie had the tone of unbreakable in some parts and the intensity of split as well as a new tone all wrapped up into one. I saw the rating rotten tomatoes gave before I saw it and shrugged my shoulders and went in the theater with my own excitement. I was not disappointed nor felt like I needed more. Night said he had a trilogy not a universe. Thank you M. Night for the journey, I would shake your hand if i could. People need to stop judging movies based on someone else's view. I see the world in my eyes not through a critics, we should all do the same.
Consider my faith rewarded! The mighty Shyamalan has concluded his Eastrail 177 trilogy properly, Ladies and Gents. I just recently experienced Glass in IMAX, and it brings me beaming pleasure to report that the film is an astounding triumph. Despite a mixed critical reception, Glass unquestionably lived up to the superb quality of Unbreakable and Split. Please support M. Night this January with your ticket purchase and prepare to feast those peepers on a runaway swing for the fences that doesn't miss its intended mark. Take heed and "rejoice" at the altar of M. Night Shyamalan's career-defining stroke of mastery.
Once again you all fail to realize that critics get personal with certain directors. Even if said directors do well, they will hammer in the hate on their films. It becomes an agenda. Critics are toxic, always will be.
Lol, his last movies were reviewed well, maybe he is just a hit or miss director? The last Airbender was terrible, The Visit was cool. It's possible for a director to make good and bad movies.
I think the critics have picked apart all the flaws in this movie way too much so I’m gonna completely ignore what they have to say. I love unbreakable, I love split so I know that I’ll love glass aswell. And I think the general audience is gonna have opposite views to critics.
If you know, you'll love something before you've even seen it, there is no point in debating you, since you are clearly a fanboy/girl, who doesn't care about what anyone else thinks. I wonder why you even came to watch this video...
Critics hated the movie “Venom,” but audiences loved it. Often the critics are focused on factors that are relatively meaningless to the audience such as the creativity of the camera shots.
Critics are impartial to the fandom and try to look with an objective eye. Fanboys are much too biased. Movies like Venom, Transformers, Fast n Furious etc are not considered "quality" movies by critics, but people still enjoy them because they are marketed to the lowest common denominator.
@@ericp1139 Nope critics get obsessed that are irrelevant to audiences so fail at their jobs, which is not to find some ethereal higher meaning in films but to tell us if we'll be entertained.
critics today only care about political virtue signalling. if they can't use a certain movie review to push their agenda and be "anti" something then they hate that movie. that is the sole motivation of most movie critics, including the ones at rotten tomatoes.
CK Lim critics like when movies are anti-white and anti-men. that's the only thing critics care about. the audience does not feel that way. hence, the huge disparity between critic scores and audience scores that has become so common. this is an obvious thing.
I loved it, the fact that I couldn't predict where the plot was going to end up was my favourite part, too many movies follow the same bland plot line and it's boring as hell. All the acting was brilliant, James McAvoy deserves an Oscar for his performance
This movie disappointed me and broke my heart. I love this movie, and the franchise as a whole, but I’m disappointed.. not because the films bad, but because it went where I didn’t want it to go. I can’t see myself loving characters anymore than these.
People who didnt like this movie saw a script in their head of what they wanted to see. When you look at each ark of this film, the ending makes a lot of sense. It's a bold ending. The idea is that this is a world where people really dont yet believe in the marvels of "superheroes". So they must be forced to see it for themselves. This is a truly great follow up to Unbreakable and Split. Not perfect, but good execution.
I thought the same thing. I thought it was an entertaining movie. I think the biggest reason that the critics are panning it is because they've become so used to Hollywood putting out mostly mediocre rehashes, reboots, and predictable narratives for so long now, that they're just kind of dumbed down on what to expect. It's also interesting the disparity between the critic and audience score on _'Rotten Tomatoes'._ Which also doesn't surprise me. This seems to be a very common trend now on critic websites. The disconnect between what the audience enjoys and what the critics expect them to enjoy is astounding.
how is the soundtrack? i know they used unbreakable´s theme. but did they put parts of SPLIT soundtrack in this movie? like "meeting the others" and "kevin wendell crumb"... those are so beautiful and perfect.. i wsh they are in the movie....
I think the people that dont like it are still hanging on to the belief that its going to be a superhero movie like marvel and DC. Props to m night for actually making an ending with actual consequences to the characters. Unlike cough marvel cough the snap. That and they didn't understand the series is a psychological look at superhumans. As with most things its expectations trumping appreciations. And when unbreakable came out all the critics hated its ending too "David just calls the cops on Elijah???" I swear you have to be broken to appreciate what these films have done or something.
Why is no one picking up on hints from the title itself? It's called "#Glass" because ELIJAH for 19yrs, watched EVERYTHING i/t basement unfold in the City so to plan & prove his "Origins"- viral Revelation-Story from inside & bringing the 3 together! I LOVED the End!👌
I went into the movie without spoilers, which I refused to listen to. I LOVED this movie. Many cinema aficionados don’t give M. Night the respect he deserves. I think that he makes movies that I’m drawn to. McEvoy gives an outstanding performance. I’m not a fan of Bruce Willis or his acting, but M. Night has found a side of Willis that I enjoy, both in this movie and in Sixth Sense. Sarah Paulson, oh 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 the lady fooled me. I really thought she wanted to treat their condition. I wasn’t expecting a foul ball. It seldom happens for me, that once the movie is over, I’m ready to do a short trip to the bathroom and back to the tickets line and watch it all over again. With this movie, it did! I saw it Saturday and already have tickets for tonight!! Like, THAT GOOD!! I agree with the both of you, it’s a must to watch Unbreakable and Split shortly before watching this one. I give it an A, no minus, not plus, but solid A.
I'd give the movie an 18. Like every great comic ending, it gives you a new beginning. And I agree with Unbreakable being the best of the three. A great trilogy though.
Dude on the left has similar genetics to the actor who played Trevor in Grand Theft Auto 5. Also, how do you have that Captain America shield on the wall? I think that's the Marvel Legends Gear Captain America Shield Prop Replica, which doesn't come out until March, 2019. 0__0
I loved every minute of it! The things we gotta understand is that Critics hated "Unbreakable" so when the long awaited sequel finally comes naturally their gonna bash it and say it's trash. The movie was definitely for the Fans of the Franchise and in that sense I think it was better than "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" because it actually respected the previous films and perfectly blended them together. I completely agree that McAvoy stole the show but the Acting was incredible in all Characters and their development was great! I give it a 5 Star Review 👍👍
Loved the movie. I was pleasantly surprised by it. Prior to watching split I didn’t know about unbreakable but since watching has become a favorite of mine.
The 2nd greatest superhero movie ever... 1st being Unbreakable. I saw it today and immediately wanted to watch it again... and what a fitting end to a great trilogy! McAvoy stole the show. Please ppl... leave your Marvel/DC brains at home when u go to see this.
Critics watch the film to review it. Sometimes they put aside EVERYTHING in mind to fully review it. Some of them may not seen the previous films to understand what's going on. Some of them do not understand M Night Shyamalan's direction. Does that mean this film is flawless? Hell no. Theres flaws definitely and some choices are kinda a headscratcher and don't expect to be satisfied in one viewing. We also live in a marvel/dc cinema universe where we have expectations and certain troupes to get in on. M Night does not like doing that. He likes the audience to think and speculate. He wants you to trust what you seen and follow along despite your own feelings about it. If you do trust in it, you go into a ride that's satisfying or at least understand where it leads like it or not.
@@YanaPetruk So I have seen it. Not sure how critics ended up with 35%. At least for once, it was not about the SJW thing they wanted to be forced down everyone throats.
I have to disagree on Joker overshadowing Batman in The Dark Knight. Regardless of the Joker being the main conflict of the film and the thing that many people remember the most about it, he has a total of 45 minutes of screen time. In fact, based on your read about this film where the hero is overshadowed by the villains, then this film has a lot more in common with the Tim Burton Batman films due to Burton always like to keep Batman distance from us and while he shows more investment on the villains most notably Batman Returns especially since that movie also features two villains (or three of you count Christopher Walken's character Max Schreck).
I wonder whether initial reactions might have to do with whether the movie is a superhero flick or not, and I mean a super-hero flick as part of Hollywood's current business model for blockbuster movies. So, right, there have been movies about super-heroes (Robocop, Dark-man, Burton's Batman, X-Men 1), but I'm not sure they're part of the block-busting genre we know today. Unbreakable was released back in 2000, five years before Batman Begins and eight before Iron Man (a safe starting-line for the genre we're familiar with today?), and, as you said, both Unbreakable and Split are more character studies than anything else. I wonder then whether the bad press the movie is getting comes from expectations that it's a super-hero film and the fact that it doesn't actually fit into that sort of drawer. Having watched the movie, what do you guys think?
Sebastian Sanhueza I think you’re right. Watching one of the clips where Dunn fights the beast they’re not using crazy martial arts moves and there isn’t over the top CGI like the super hero movies today. It’s more of a realistic super hero trilogy where you can really feel how strong these guys are and what they’re thinking about. They are very relatable movies and are much more personal than the marvel and DC movies
I think you didn't read a single review, then, or can you please show where this is mentioned? Also, there are a sea of other movies released today, that have neither a leftist agenda nor a female lead, yet reviewed well. Perhaps you are just uninformed.
@@kabeltelevizio I was making a point that leftist agendas are usually very well received by critics. Unless you live under a rock, it's quite well known that, the vermin in the left, run Hollywood. If you don't believe me, just look at the past few best picture winners and also name the last movie that had conservative politics in it.
@@dpasdamoney Last movie with conservative politics? Well, I can think of 3 just from this year, that I saw. Alpha, As I recall that was about family values, a person overcoming odds by with his own strength. It was received well, 79% on rotten. Also Chappaquiddick, I would say, that was pretty conservative, considering the issue. Has an 82% on rotten. and Death Wish. I guess this is more about American conservative politics, since it's basically a pro-gun movie. I don't think many people liked this movie, to be honest, its critical review is at 18% and the general audience ratings are around 6/10. Apparently, The Quiet Place is called pro-life by some people, but I am not sure. It reviewed well too. I don't think critics in general are more biased than say 10 years ago. Also, this movie didn't review badly, because of some leftist agenda. The general consensus of the reviews I've read indicate: the payoff at the end wasn't worth the wait, too many plot holes, lack of tension and character interaction, subversion that doesn't happen, weird cinematography.
Saw the movie last night and I was disappointed with the ending. The Beast or Kevin could have defeated the lights in the room but wrapping himself in the bed sheet or use the mattress to shield himself from the lights. Certainly didn't enjoy how David was killed, could have been a better movie.
I love the movie. Not a superhero movie, it's a story with superheroes in it. I think you enjoy this more if you are intrigued by the characters, and somehow have given thought about them.
I'm excited for this movie. Keeping crossed for a steelbook collection for the trilogy, with parts of Willis', MacAvoy's, and Jackson's faces on the cover, with their respective colors and the cracked glass effect across the case.
unbreakable is in my top 3 movies. watching split without knowing a thing......that last couple minutes when he was running through the characters in the mirror and the unbreakable music comes on.......probably the best single moment in cinema history for me. did not see that coming at all. excited for glass, but fully understand it won't live up to unbreakable. it never could really.
Unbreakable was a great movie, Split was decent. I'm really looking forward to watching Glass this weekend but I'm sorry to hear that Bruce Willis has a smaller part in the movie.
Just got back from seeing this and I Looooooooved it! So good! I feel like most critics just dont like M. Night. I understand a lot of his rep is deserved as he did indeed make a few bad movies, but I still think he is a very good director and this movie delivered for me! I give it two very good thumbs up!
It's a big boy Story, which means many won't get the ending...I loved the film myself...I thought the ending was missed by many...The title is important to remember...and so these heroes are not ridicules...it the possible potential power that is realistic...but what does it take to be a hero, sacrifice...I for one would recommend this movie and I hope people will enjoy the hidden message many people missed at the end...I hope I am not the only one who realize the ending...
I felt I should have been more moved emotionally by the character deaths than I was. I attribute it to not using enough of James Newton Howard's score when dealing with David.......
@onlystupidanswers In GLASS. Does Elijah have some shining moments like where he is talking about his evil plans or when he is doing his evil laugh or something.
Critics hated "A Cure For Wellness" & yet I liked that film. I put little stock in what critics say about genre films : (sci fi, horror, action, etc....) because I know they are going to hate those films just so they can make themselves look more intelligent than the fans of such films..
Sarah Paulson (I think her name is) turns out to be working for an organization that's been killing anyone with superhuman abilites for the last 10,000 years and they're the ones that have the 3 main characters locked up, but in the end, have to kill them because they can't convince them they're crazy and don't have powers. Brilliant.
The Beast Kills Mr Glass by hitting him in the chest due to being manipulated by Dunn & His Son trying to calm the beast in the first place Dunn Dies(gets drowned) by some fucker who is in an organization that is after people with abilities like the 3 The Beast/Horde Dies by an FBI due to the fact Casey Distracted The Beast by Grabbing and holding on to him & which brought out Kevin & gave the FBI a Good Clear Shot (By the Pelvic) & yeah W/o the beast Kevin/Horde becomes Vulnerable
Great review. I would rate it 18/19 or 9.5/10. I think critics really just love to destroy Shyamalan and criticize every single aspect of his films. My ranking would be: 1. Glass. 2. Unbreakable. 3. Split (really didn't like this one as much).
I saw it, I loved it. Audience in my theatre hated it, a few walk outs..a lot of bored children/annoyed adults that thought it would be an action packed superhero film....it isn’t.
6.5/10. Not that there are any problems with it. It is really a good movie that I left the movie with a smile on my face. It just had a problem of me leaving wanting more. Sort of a story that was a bit underplayed, but I feel that as time goes on, I will bring it up to a 7 (which is a good score in my book). For sure among his best films. I hope he keeps up the good work and can give us another thriller like split or signs.

"your statement is phrased as a fact"
Every sentence anyone states in a movie review could be considered fact, unless a person put "I think" in front of it? Obviously, all reviews are subjective, but putting a synonym of "to my mind" in every sentence doesn't make for enjoyable content. It's obvious a review is subjective.
"isn't one way to make movies"
Sure there isn't but there are conventions and tropes, such as characterology, the hero's journey, camera angle rules, narrative points, etc. These are established elements that help to create an interesting movie. Obviously, you don't have to follow them every time, and if you are a good director, your movie might work even if you stray away from these, but most films are bound by some conventions. His statement didn't suggest there is only one way to make movies either way.
"movies like these always cause a divide when discussing movies"
Isn't a movie people disagree on a more interesting topic for discussion then a movie we all agree on?
@@YanaPetruk i think they got all of that. They just wanted more out of her character
I have a feeling that the online community will love this movie, but general audiences will not
I think the studio overestimated the initial online chatter over the Split ending and the fan base size of Unbreakable.
the online community is the general audience. we are one and the same. the distinction lies between the audience and "critics". critics are bought and paid for. all they want is to virtue signal politically. if they can't use a certain movie to do that, then they hate that movie. period.
Lostin Thegarden ugh, get your Rightwing politics out of here.
Eric P lol I don't know where that came from. I'm not right wing at all. acknowledging obvious realities is right wing now?
Lostin Thegarden “virtue signaling,” “agenda,” “they’re anti White males,” etc. Please, I know Rightwing buzzwords. Don’t try to claim monopoly on reality.
My wife and I are going to watch Unbreakable, then Split, then Glass. Thanks for the suggestion. It's been too long.
The mighty Shyamalan has concluded his
Eastrail 177 trilogy properly, Ladies and Gents. I just recently
experienced Glass in IMAX, and it brings me beaming pleasure to report
that the film is an astounding triumph. Despite a mixed critical
reception, Glass unquestionably lived up to the superb quality of
Unbreakable and Split. Please support M. Night this January with your
ticket purchase and prepare to feast those peepers on a runaway swing
for the fences that doesn't miss its intended mark. Take heed and
"rejoice" at the altar of M. Night Shyamalan's career-defining stroke of
mastery.
The guy on the left looks like the caveman from the Gieco commercials.
Thank you. It was bothering me that he looked familiar.
Once again you all fail to realize that critics get personal with certain directors. Even if said directors do well, they will hammer in the hate on their films. It becomes an agenda. Critics are toxic, always will be.
and you are a complete idiot ignoring positive reviews for split and the visit 🤣
Fanboys are very selective on when they trot out RT scores and box office figures.
Lol, his last movies were reviewed well, maybe he is just a hit or miss director?
The last Airbender was terrible, The Visit was cool. It's possible for a director to make good and bad movies.
kabeltelevizio
Explain how they trashed this movie when it was better than split?
@@thiskneegrow It wasn't better than Split, it was pretty bad, sadly.
19 years in the making..
I AM READY..!
I thought venom was just ok. Average. I would disagree with critics on Last Jedi. Load of sh**.
Glass ending jake Paul turns out to be the real villain
Is this a real spoiler?
😁😁
Whose paul
Lisa Shapiro one of Kevin personality resembles Paul's personality.just Google his name ..
By the way ,above main comment was written in humour way.
It's not much of a twist then, the guy plays a villain in real life already.
Marnel Garçon totally agree
I thought the same thing. I thought it was an entertaining movie. I think the biggest reason that the critics are panning it is because they've become so used to Hollywood putting out mostly mediocre rehashes, reboots, and predictable narratives for so long now, that they're just kind of dumbed down on what to expect. It's also interesting the disparity between the critic and audience score on _'Rotten Tomatoes'._ Which also doesn't surprise me. This seems to be a very common trend now on critic websites. The disconnect between what the audience enjoys and what the critics expect them to enjoy is astounding.
Is dennis in the movie?
Yes, and it feels like (him especially) all the personalities get their own arc. It was genius.
@@RevRyukin7 yeah i loved his arc
Dennis is a key player. My wife loves Hedwig.lol

Such a crime that critics gave this a terrible score! The movie is awesome and I'll never go by critic scores again!
You guys deserve more subscribers. The reviews here seem genuine without any bias.
Damn, most reviews I’ve seen are basically 9/10
how is the soundtrack? i know they used unbreakable´s theme. but did they put parts of SPLIT soundtrack in this movie? like "meeting the others" and "kevin wendell crumb"... those are so beautiful and perfect.. i wsh they are in the movie....
They used 'the beast' soundtrack often and there's hints of 'Kevin Wendell Crumb' but overall the soundtrack is phenomenal
@@BrandonLikesMovies i saw the movie yesterday, i loved it, and the soundtrack was perfect
I'm still waiting for Chris Stuckmann's review
Czars Salad me too
Are you Chris Stuckmann?
I bet you he's gonna love it. He's sucker for these movies. Gives A's or B's to almost every blockbuster Hollywood releases.
He's seen it but still waiting on the review
if he puts it in his Hilariocity list...
Listen I saw this movie last night and it was totally awesome. The parking lot fight towards the end was worth the price of the ticket alone.
Went last night to see this. Loved it. Funny. Great action. And a villain I didn't see coming. It's worth the wait.
So far it sounds to me like the less connected to the fans a critic is, the less they like this movie.
Omg 2019 made already with OSA video clips! Love you guys so much
I'd give the movie an 18.
Also, I have already been spoiled about Glass and I KNOW that I still will like the movie. I don't care what happens I'm down for the ride!
Finally, a fair review.
35 with critics and 75 with real people. Let me guess the movie was not woke enough.
Fortunately it wasn’t!
@@YanaPetruk So I have seen it. Not sure how critics ended up with 35%. At least for once, it was not about the SJW thing they wanted to be forced down everyone throats.
The end is perfect. But there are people that have to much expectations. If you guys what a good movie make one.
Wait. Samuel L. Jackson is the star of a movie where he plays the titular character?!
I'm out.
Thank you for appreciating what this movie is. i think your review is right on. you describe it perfectly. well done.
Glass seems to be doing well at the box office
Critics didn't like it because it has no lead strong female characters, no gay characters and no leftist agendas.
Truth!
There is a gay character in the movie. Anyway the movie is great.
On commercials. They should not say "90% on Rotten Tomatoes from critics." and instead they should say what score the fans gave it.
One of the best reviews on this movie!!! The critics totally got it wrong
Saw the movie last night and I was disappointed with the ending. The Beast or Kevin could have defeated the lights in the room but wrapping himself in the bed sheet or use the mattress to shield himself from the lights. Certainly didn't enjoy how David was killed, could have been a better movie.
The movie is incredible everyone needs to see it ! What an end to an amazing trilogy
Glass: The best superhero movie ever made.
I love the movie. Not a superhero movie, it's a story with superheroes in it.
I think you enjoy this more if you are intrigued by the characters, and somehow have given thought about them.
I'm excited for this movie. Keeping crossed for a steelbook collection for the trilogy, with parts of Willis', MacAvoy's, and Jackson's faces on the cover, with their respective colors and the cracked glass effect across the case.
unbreakable is in my top 3 movies. watching split without knowing a thing......that last couple minutes when he was running through the characters in the mirror and the unbreakable music comes on.......probably the best single moment in cinema history for me. did not see that coming at all. excited for glass, but fully understand it won't live up to unbreakable. it never could really.
despite the mediocre critic reviews, I honestly liked Glass quite a lot.
M. Night made an excellent misadventure, underground comic book style.
GREAT JOB AS ALWAYS, FELLAS
The movie literally opens with Bruce's character which sets the tone, everything was equal imo
No, the critics are wrong. Glass is amazing. A surprising, clever, touching and powerful conclusion of an epic Trilogy.
Unbreakable was a great movie, Split was decent. I'm really looking forward to watching Glass this weekend but I'm sorry to hear that Bruce Willis has a smaller part in the movie.
I loved Glass, but never seen the other two movies. I gave it a 18.5
Never bored watching Glass...the ending is not that bad but it adds more to the universe...to me the trilogy is a gem :)
Just got back from seeing this and I Looooooooved it! So good! I feel like most critics just dont like M. Night. Sarah Paulson (I think her name is) turns out to be working for an organization that's been killing anyone with superhuman abilites for the last 10,000 years and they're the ones that have the 3 main characters locked up, but in the end, have to kill them because they can't convince them they're crazy and don't have powers.
Brilliant.
The Beast Kills Mr Glass by hitting him in the chest due to being manipulated by Dunn & His Son trying to calm the beast in the first place
Dunn Dies(gets drowned) by some fucker who is in an organization that is after people with abilities like the 3
The Beast/Horde Dies by an FBI due to the fact Casey Distracted The Beast by Grabbing and holding on to him & which brought out Kevin & gave the FBI a Good Clear Shot (By the Pelvic) & yeah W/o the beast Kevin/Horde becomes Vulnerable

When it comes to playing with expectations, Ruin Johnson could learn so much. Wish he had seen this and learned from it before making TLJ atrocity.
Great review. I would rate it 18/19 or 9.5/10. I think critics really just love to destroy Shyamalan and criticize every single aspect of his films. My ranking would be: 1. Glass. 2. Unbreakable. 3. Split (really didn't like this one as much).
