We've been real busy this summer metal detecting various ww2 battle sites. New video out every Sunday, be sure to subscribe to get the notification!
Very interesting place to hunt!! Great finds! Thanks!
It really is! Thanks for watching John! :)
just a battle to get through all them bugs!
Haha. Yeah, there was a lot of them 😂
Siitä tietää että on Suomalainen kyseessä kun on saanut niin tarpeekseen hyttysistä, ettei jaksa enään välittää.
Näin on 😂👍
Vittu ihan sama pistäkööt🤣🤣
Very good video. Did not know about that battlefield. Thanks for sharing this history. Congratulations on your discoveries. Looking forward to your next outing. Best of luck.
Thanks Jay! A lot more ww2 videos coming soon. :)
Only for the brave ... Germans usually leave lots of loot .. great content as always ... stay safe you 2 Vikings . 👍
Thank you Achillia! More german stuff in next week's video! Stay safe you too :)
Very well done, very informative, detailed explanations, be safe. Keep up the great work.
6:09 dont stab the ground like that, nobody cleared the land mines in finland, they are still there and going off every year
Great video, very informative .
i had the privalage to go on holiday to finland in june and i took my metal detector lots of items but best of all 5 German bullet casings all on the same trench firing step. (same rifle)
Its great to see you guys out detecting again. Great plan of attack on the area you're in. Crazy how it stays light out for 24 hrs a day!!#
Detecting is always the best. You get used to the light, but in the winter it will be dark 24h too. That is a bit worse. Thanks for watching Kevin :)
Great little video from you both
Thanks shaun!
you guys must be immune to mosquitos
What mosquitoes? :D
There is no mosquitoes in lapland
Nice finds. Cheers
Thanks brother. Cheers 👍
Love it boys!
Thank you Sean!
Not luger but LAHTI!
9mm Lahti pistols were used by officers and others.
Missä vuijeminjoki sijaitsee?
I learned so much about history from you guys!
Thanks Global! We love talking about history!
Is it really that light at midnight there ? Please explain.
It really is that light in the summer months. The sun does not set. But in the winter it's other way around and the sun does not rise in a month. 😅
True Vikings thanks for the reply . I did not know that this happened in your part of the world . I am from Toronto Canada 🇨🇦 . I learned something new . I love your videos.
Yes, it is only in the far north. Glad you like our videos. Greetings to Canada. 👍
I think that the 9mm cartidges you found was from a suomi kp31, considering every other rifle cartidge in the area was finnish
suomi perkele torilla tavataan
Näin tehdään 😂
Gotta be careful in these places. Since there can be unexploded bombs.
True that 👍
Well done. Good finds did you look at the bottoms of those cartridges to see where they were made the year and the calibre? Goodness me.
Nice countryside not sure if I would like to fight there though.
Thanks yakka. Most of the casings were made in 1940-43. Some had the finnish ammo factory VPT stamped on them ( Valtion PatruunaTehdas, State ammo Factory). Some had random letters and numbers to our untrained eyes. Probably german ammo?
Tarviiko näihin alueisiin hakea mitään lupia?
Ei, kun kuitenkin julkinen metsä.
Love stuff on ww2
So do we! We are detecting a lot of ww2 places right now. Much more videos to come :)
9:47 its 7,62x53R bullet chambered to M/28 "Pystykorva"
Awesome video brother's 👌
Thanks Jon 👍
Do more videos from finnish ww2 battlefields!
There are plans to do that still this summer 👍
Hi. Is metal detectin legal in Finland?
Yes, with landowners permisson and respect protected areas
Water....🤣
Definitely ;)
Hey man did you find anything in Eastern Finland? That's where the winter war took place.
We have some videos from Eastern Finland. You should check them out. But then our goal has not been to find WW2 items.
