Steal an artifact to outsmart The Beast! In this week’s Game the Game host Becca Scott is joined by James Hudson, Trisha Hershberger, and Kerry Cahill for The Grimm Masquerade from Skybound. This was fun. I'd like to see a second set of special abilities to add a little extra variety to replays, probably having to pick one at random or perhaps a few universal ones that were slightly less powerful..

Thematically, the game is kinda weird. Wouldn't Hansel want treats and avoid cauldrons? Wouldn't everyone have a disguise already, since it's a masquerade ball?
Hansel and Gretel kill the witch using a cauldron and were nearly killed because of treats. At least, that's how I'm rationalizing it.
Hansel was fed with treats so the withc could eat him, and they killed the witch with the cauldron (as someone already said)
Is there anything more beautiful or more terrifying, than when Becca wins?

Can you perform as many special actions as you want in a turn as long as you have enough pairs of artifacts?

Sidenote: Trisha would make a great host.
I hesitate to say that though because of the backlash Becca received when she became host but now everyone loves her and everyone already love Shish.
Everyone does not love Becca. She's fake and lame. If she was halfway decent she would pull similar numbers to tabletop. She is cringe and lots of people agree with me.

My understanding is that for a 2-3 player game u play with those characters....playing more ppl u play with the additional 8 for a total of 16 hidden characters, but if u play with only 2-3 can u switch using the other 8 characters instead of what these are for a change or no?

I saw version of this where they were 12 characters why did they downsize it to eight if they had 12 characters the game would be longer weird decision

Out of curiosity, has Geek & Sundry/Scott taken down their Root Gameplay video yet? It's the one where Scott screws up a slew of rules in Root during the gameplay that make the video worthless and actually harmful to learning the board game.

He usually have his games on Kickstarter first. Then they get available on retail.
I found the game and immediately purchased it, haha.
Get Will Wheaton's Table Top back, this is but a poor substitute for Mr Wheaton's wonderful channel
I don't like how they are all fake and acting and trying to be funny and entertaining just to help sell the game. Ughhh....can we have some real true board gamers who actually act normal and genuine. Just imagine playing with these people, it would ruin the game night.
Doesn't hold a candle to Tabletop. This feels like a forced attempt to remake a show, just doesn't flow natural at all. Instead of following Tabletop beat by beat, why not build a new formula more around your current hosts personality? This just feels like a cheap rip off. Bummer.
This was actually an super fun to watch episode. I liked Table Top as well, but can we just recognise that Becca is doing an amazing job?
