I did exactly the same but my switch doesn't dimmer, it just goes on and off. What am I doing wrong?
fasel lesaf Hi.Is it energy saving bulb or LED? Is your dimmer designed to work with energy saving bulb or LED?

I have the same issue, the one in our daughters room works but ours no longer does
Probably there is an electric plasma in your dimmer module. If so you need to change the dimmer.
