I saw this band in a video of the 12th in Portadown. Normally, I don't fancy accordion bands very much, but this is an exception. Perhaps it's the absence of snare drums and instead "real" drums are played. And the sound that is more full-bodied because of the full size accordeons - instead of the smaller ones. Well done!
It must be a wonderful experience to play in this band. I wish we had a similar one in my hometown in Greece and play in it! I can't distinguish any ladies in the band though!
+Bob Bellamy : A very young lady with composure, dignity, confidence and pride. It's all about keeping their Protestant Christian British traditions ... it's nice to see this young girl leading the band and some very young members of the band taking the tradition ahead into future generations.

Makes a huge difference to the sound with full size piano accordions, not just wee daft button boxes that some bands have - the latter a bit tinny.

Most accordian bands have ladies (women) in them. There are no restrictions. Best wishes. I hope you join a band one day.
