First heard him on radio as a kid playing songs like Do i qualify got so interested in his music that sweet voice did and still does it for me ..gone to soon RIP LDH❤️❤️
Definitely one of the best to ever do it 💯 Trevor Nelson’s faveeeeeee 😅 He always played him and had the biggest smile on his face! But Mr. Hall was a true gem 💎 Continue to rest well xx
Here in 2019.. just reading the comments.. had absolutely NO idea this brother passed on.. I watched him come on the scene back in the early millenium and shock/sooth everyone with his precious gift.. fast forward 20-years, I run into this, I'm like OMG.. I TOTALLY FORGOT ABOUT THIS GUY.. then I scroll down and it's all RIP.. yall can only imagine the slap in the face. Life's way to short and fickle fam.. LIVE IT TO YOUR FULLEST.. AND TRY BE NICE MOST OF THE TIME.. ITS MORE FUN THATAWAY!
Yeh he was one of South London’s Finest. RIP Lynden David Hall. I remember the first time I heard his voice I thought he was American ( he had that D’Angelo vibe ) then I found out he was from down the road in Norwood I was like Wow! I Loved his voice ( bought 2 of his CDs ) he was truly blessed and will be very missed ❤️
Someone did not push this artist's music at all...I think if I had heard this version of this amazing song. I would have remembered Lynden David Hall...I do not remember. I'm glad I've discovered this amazing artist in 2021....I've said it once so I'll say it again, better late than never.
Went school with this guy way way back in the day.if you know you know .was surprised when I see my old school mate make it in the music scene and totally gutted when he died.RIP David you are missed and remembered 🙏🏾
Lyden David Hall was indeed a blessing to this planet. My heart prays for you every time I hear your songs. See you in the morning at the crossroads, Brother.
This guy, D'angello, Davina and Smooth all officially introduced me to Neo-Soul and a young rural boy then didn't know what's up but the sound just resonated with me at first encounter and it would take me years to ever hear them and even know who the actual artists were.
This song has an uncanny resemblance to John legend's 'number one'. I've followed lynden since I was about 17/18.im now 35, long before I had ever heard of John legend . Both are amazing artists with incredible voices
What are "Cubans" really? Well, their us! Once they were conquered by the Spanish the warrior class of males was tortured then murdered. The rest were put to work immediately and unable to be near their women and children. The rape of the children started the males weren't allowed to have sex with their women (breeding out the autochthonous people agenda was in full swing). His-story will readily tell you, we came from Alkebulan (Africa) on slave ships to the America's. Again, "his-story." Anyway, Mr. Lynden ascended in 2006. he's moving around in our true reality ... Peace, Queen.
2024 still listening to this, saw him in concert twice in concert still play his music..RIP 😢
Loved this guy, as a kid, and was gutted to hear of his early passing.
Brother left us some great music though.

Just needed to hear his sweet voice again

Classy and smooth
Never heard of this brother before, he did a great job, vocally, the arrangement was good.
My best artist RIP

He is so talented. This cover is just as good as the original, by the Staple Singers.
Refreshing
Sheer class
Love David Lyden Hall, but I think the Staple Singles original version is better.
incredible!! Are they Cubans?

John Legend - Again sampled this song
It's much better by The Staple Singers.
