1-How to duplicate stuff 2-Also sometimes, some textures won't go well, like extra large in major situation, how to fix that and to fix the sides of the brush
What is your thought process behind finding what details to add? I imagine you look at reference images of the place you're trying to make and just recreate those details.
This turned out very nicely! It's really interesting to watch other people's different processes when it comes to building in Hammer. I'm still fairly new as I only started messing around with it back in March, but I'm currently working on a custom campaign for L4D2. There's a lot to learn from videos like these, best of luck to you with your channel! :)
hey, in 00:39 how did you move these blocks so perfectly? i use my mouse and whenever i duplicate them they spawn either higher or lower that the original block@@stub8702
For the props you can use the entity tool then press the entity. A window would pop up and theres a text saying player_spawn_point or something idk. Click the drop down menu and type prop. You Will see 2 options prop_dynamic and prop_detail, choose prop_detail and click apply. Now in the entity menu click the world model option and choose the model you want and click apply. And there you have it a prop.
@@adrikikicp , You didn't quite get it right. I meant what is the point of dividing the wall into two parts? What is the purpose or function of it. But thanks for the answer

I love seeing this sort of thing. I wish people made timelapse mapping videos more often. Big respect!

That’s mostly what I do
Usually it’s most from the head from multiple places and then trying to combine details to make it look like realistic scene.
Nice, the result looks really good
Nice!
Thanks!

Thanks but I know that, I'm looking for custom props@@Steamj2
You don't use Hammer++?
Sometimes, it doesn’t work very well for gmod. I use it usually for prop placement.

can you make a tutorial on how to make textures and how to compile it into a wad?
it would be a great help
Hi, I'm not quite sure why you divided the wall into 2 parts. Can you explain why you did that?
Clipping tools

@@_DIYT_ to stretch the texture near the top of the wall, to make it look like it had drips/streaks
@@jasondean37 Thanks
how do i open the entity configuration thing?
Alt + enter
@@stub8702 thanks mate
thank you! whats the prog? Maya? Unreal?
The program is Hammer Editor (there are plenty of tutorials where you can find it)
How did you split the walls in two
Using clipping tool
It's not a guide , it's a timelapse . There is no need to write "How to" in the title of the video
