I have those characters at gear IX and X, with just Qui Gon at XII, so my thinking was "F it. When am I *EVER* going to relic up those characters!" While not the best LSB they've offered, I'm still going to get it.

For £9.99 it would have been fine with the new raid considered and the characters being relic 5. The issue is CG have given us so much more in previous packs, at better price points e.g the Nightsisters or even the Mandalorian (Beskar) bundle. As it stands, this Jedi pack contains characters that are easy to gear (no kyro before the finisher piece) and are junk in all game modes. I'd have dropped the £9.99 but feel that if I buy this crap for £19.99 it will send the wrong signals to CG and ruin the price point of future LSB's.
People complaining about ANY LSB are just airheads. The value is off the charts compared to everything else CG sells. Even for "junk" characters who may only be useful for a short term raid. The amount of time saved by not having to relic those toons is worth far more than $20, let alone once we talk about the resources. If anything, people are just "spoiled" from other LSB's that were sexier in terms of the characters they offered. But, rest assured, if you need to be convinced of a LSB's value, you simply "don't get it" and nobody can help you.
Also, the characters in LS bundles tend to show up as useful in other game modes later or lead into other things. Could be another signal if what’s to come. Even for “less useful” characters, R5 for that price is a great value, I say go for it.
After looking at the raid details when they got announced I had added all 4 of these to my gear farming list Luminara (G9), Eeth Koth (G9), Plo(G12) and even Kit Fisto(G1). This LSB is thus saving me months and adding a huge boost to my raid viability. At $20 - its a bargain. Yes I already have oQGJ at R5 - but still very worth it for the time saving for the other 4.
We've already seen repeat characters like Han and Leia, but now that we have ObiWan and QuiGon as repeat characters, there is no reason CG can't make a "Yoda" GL, who will most likely require random Jedi characters, some of which may or may not be included in this pack or for arguments sake any other GL they can use these guys as requirements for. Plus, we'll hit a point with new characters where we start getting to more niche appearances, everyone knows QuiGon and ObiWan, we'll probably get Padawan Anakin at some stage, but there will come a point where it makes more sense to just rework older characters like Ima-Gun Di, Jedi Guardian, etc who have short appearances, but are already in the game and a small kit rework/addition would be welcome. If we had to choose between a guy who had 2 lines in the Solo movie and Ima-Gun Di who had a brief appearance in Clone Wars, I'd personally choose the badass who went down fighting AND is already in-game. Plus regardless of arguments on character usage, it's $4usd per R5 character, you objectively do not get anything close to the same value as LSB's in this game, absolute yoink and a half from me.
Totally agree! It’s a pretty decent deal, and I think it’s somewhere at 7/10 (could be higher if Eeth Koth was better, but I didn’t know he could be used with Gidme and gets boosted more under Ki Adi, that’s nice). I think that this is what the average Lightspeed Bundle is, just have to realize that the early Lightspeed Bundles like SLKR and Rey will probably be outliers in terms of pricing
Reworks almost 0%, they seem to either want to use DCs or specific raid modifiers for these characters. GL Req is more likely, but I'd guess that happens after the raid closes and people have no motivation to gear them anymore.
I think the Padme bundle is good reference point for contrast. +5$ gets you Nute + 4 droids, also at relic 5. --> Also for the raid. And Jango, Dooku & Assajje Ventress. If you felt the Padme bundle didn't offer great value, don't take this bundle.

With all of them being Galactic Republic, having Keleran Bek and Queen Amidala means they can be used to help fill out both those squads. I have Qui Gon at Gear 12 and the rest are low gear. This pack is absolutely worth it to me to help me fill out those Galactic Republic teams. Especially until I finish staring and gearing new Qui Gon and Padawan Obi. This pack even without the raid hold a lot of value for me.
You really need to include the G12/G12+ materials and the value goes up significantly. This may not be a big deal for the guilds hitting the 424M box or higher but that G12+ material takes away from Gyrda farming.
I got told pretty consistently to add a number of things to these. I just choose to stick with the most common because it becomes true for more people. I'm trying not to overinflate the value and push people into buying something

This lightspeed bundle is a bit painful, but it may be a set up for the next GL or chase character. Also, since we're talking efficiency, is it just me or is the drop rate for the master qui gon / padawan obi wan event seriously low from previous events?
2 points...Not enough skin and my Lumi, Plo, and Kit are not at G10. Those characters use a lot of the same gear that Master QGJ and Jar Jar need, both I need to get and push to at least R7. So, it saves me a lot of time and crystals. The value is there for me as a moderate spender. BTW, suns out...
Calvin, it seems like you should include bronzium wiring in these value comparisons. This is a bottleneck for a lot of later game accounts. I'm an 11.5 mil account, and I have everything except aphra and jarjar finished, and BW is the only thing stopping me from finishing gungans.
But doesn't Eeth Koth have potential for the new raid, considering his entire kit is tailored towards, or against droids? I hope that this new raid will make use out of him, making him an average+ character, instead of just trash

I think the lsb will be design for new events/raid now. CG will create a random event that needs random characters and release lsb that includes those character. Nothing wrong with it but i dont see them making a lot of money off this.
Currently my guild needs several of these jedi for operations so I guess it has extra value for me I only have quigon at g12 so definitly has value of course knowing our luck it will require other jedi to put them with so you don't have a full team anyway

Idk about you guys but all of the mats it would take to get all units to r5 is way better than anything else you can buy for $20. I’m not saying you will use them a bunch or whatever “, but if the units ever become the slightest bit relevant. It’s pretty worth. Easy to agree that other LSB were better. It’s still just a big value thing.
I have QGJ at R3, Plo at yellow gear, and the rest still all low purple tiers. I don't think this pack is too horrible. 2 more relics on QGJ is nice, bumping Plo mainly for pilot purposes is nice, and I've been wanting to gear up Luminara since she got her Omicron, I just haven't been able to justify it vs working towards more recent releases, so although nothing revolutionary for my account, its still 3 characters I'll get some use out of getting a nice bump. Otherwise though these characters will obviously have some use in the upcoming raid, so in my mind this pack is primarily pay 20 bucks to gear up some trash to mid tier characters that will allow you to get more mats to use on better characters. Not the best pack we've seen, but far from the worst.
While I appreciate the analysis you did (excellent work), I'm gonna have to disagree with you. Let's compare it to the Rey and SLKR lightspeed bundle. Those were $9.99 each, and it basically gives you Galactic Legend. The reason why this is $19.99 is because CG noticed how popular lightspeed bundles are and people would buy them regardless. If it's a newer characters then yes, by any means, the price increase is understandable. But the upcoming LS Bundle is definitely not worth $19.99. Even the Raddus LS Bundle was $19.99 with much higher value than this. Again, it's a money grab for CG (my opinion). Cheers
Part of me wants to buy the pack and support the game but the other part of me is seeing the price increase on LSB but the quality of characters in them go down and i don’t want to support that trend by buying and making them think we’re okay getting less for more money. If it was $10 i wouldn’t even question it I’d buy If it was $15 I’d have some reservations but ultimately still buy But for $20? Idk man I’m going to have to think this over purely on principle This pack loses a lot of value for me because of Eeth Koth, i was never going to build him up and i don’t have Ki Adi Mundi meaning I’ll likely never use him outside raid and because i was never going to build him it’s not saving me resources/time To me this bundle has 4 characters for $20 if i had Ki Adi Mundi I’d say it’s 5 characters. I will eventually get Ki Adi Mundi but will i get him, build him up and to relics while this raid is still important? Idk the Gidme use is nice but i already have a Gidme setup for 5v5 and 3v3 Thanks for the video though it’s definitely helping me get closer to an answer
I think some of the value in this pack lies in it sucking. If you think about it, theyre offering a bunch of toons that are needed for platoons and the raid, but theyre painful to gear because theyre not required and they suck. Youre paying $20 to not have to suffer through a terrible farm and let you focus on the toons you care about. $20 is worth the multiple months you would hate wasting on these guys
The biggest turn off is the price. I can’t justify spending $20 on five accessible/shipment farm characters that majority are only useful for one raid which will be replaced eventually. This will hopefully be a wake up call for CG to better price these LSB. I understand they are a business, but players need to speak with their wallets and refuse paying for terrible “deals” like this one.
Obviously this is a bundle for the raid. Wouldnt be surprised if some of these were requirements for the next GL aswell But the funniest thing is that if u don't have JMK already or kit fisto relicd for ROTE this bundle is the same value as the kyros need for those 2 characters

This event seems to be 1.5 per the data I've seen. Historically it's been somewhere between 2 and 4. So this one is a bit weak unfortunately

Qui Gon is a given of why you need it, the other 4 are good fillers for random early game teams. Definitely a good bundle in my eyes.

I have QGJ at R3, Plo at yellow gear, and the rest still all low purple tiers. I don't think this pack is too horrible. 2 more relics on QGJ is nice, bumping Plo mainly for pilot purposes is nice, and I've been wanting to gear up Luminara since she got her Omicron, I just haven't been able to justify it vs working towards more recent releases, so although nothing revolutionary for my account, its still 3 characters I'll get some use out of getting a nice bump.
Otherwise though these characters will obviously have some use in the upcoming raid, so in my mind this pack is primarily pay 20 bucks to gear up some trash to mid tier characters that will allow you to get more mats to use on better characters. Not the best pack we've seen, but far from the worst.

While I appreciate the analysis you did (excellent work), I'm gonna have to disagree with you. Let's compare it to the Rey and SLKR lightspeed bundle. Those were $9.99 each, and it basically gives you Galactic Legend. The reason why this is $19.99 is because CG noticed how popular lightspeed bundles are and people would buy them regardless. If it's a newer characters then yes, by any means, the price increase is understandable. But the upcoming LS Bundle is definitely not worth $19.99. Even the Raddus LS Bundle was $19.99 with much higher value than this. Again, it's a money grab for CG (my opinion). Cheers

I mean Lumi/Kit are kinda reworked for the raid
TL:DR dont have any of these characters at G13? Probably worth it if you are even slightly serious about the new raid or GAC/fleets

Unless this lsb drops with a Luminara, Kit Fisto and Eeth Koth rework, I don’t see it being worth it tbh.
The raid is essentially a temporary rework. They're all buffed in it
If this pack had KAM, GAS, MQG and POW, would have been worth it.

Part of me wants to buy the pack and support the game but the other part of me is seeing the price increase on LSB but the quality of characters in them go down and i don’t want to support that trend by buying and making them think we’re okay getting less for more money.

This pack loses a lot of value for me because of Eeth Koth, i was never going to build him up and i don’t have Ki Adi Mundi meaning I’ll likely never use him outside raid and because i was never going to build him it’s not saving me resources/time
To me this bundle has 4 characters for $20 if i had Ki Adi Mundi I’d say it’s 5 characters. I will eventually get Ki Adi Mundi but will i get him, build him up and to relics while this raid is still important? Idk the Gidme use is nice but i already have a Gidme setup for 5v5 and 3v3

I think some of the value in this pack lies in it sucking. If you think about it, theyre offering a bunch of toons that are needed for platoons and the raid, but theyre painful to gear because theyre not required and they suck. Youre paying $20 to not have to suffer through a terrible farm and let you focus on the toons you care about. $20 is worth the multiple months you would hate wasting on these guys
That's how a ton of people viewed the Rey pack. It was "I would never do this any other way so I might as well"

The biggest turn off is the price. I can’t justify spending $20 on five accessible/shipment farm characters that majority are only useful for one raid which will be replaced eventually. This will hopefully be a wake up call for CG to better price these LSB. I understand they are a business, but players need to speak with their wallets and refuse paying for terrible “deals” like this one.
The value here still destroys any non LSB pack. I'm not sure I'd hold my breath on getting even better prices
Obviously this is a bundle for the raid. Wouldnt be surprised if some of these were requirements for the next GL aswell
But the funniest thing is that if u don't have JMK already or kit fisto relicd for ROTE this bundle is the same value as the kyros need for those 2 characters
I think its too expensive compared to other bundles this is not a bad offer based on grind only but is laughable when compared to ANY other lsb bundle
