Hi from the US! Been watching you for a few months now and your work ethic is always so inspiring! Don’t worry about sharing things until you’re ready, you don’t owe your audience anything. Take care of yourself and the rest will follow ❤
I have to say Taylah, I find your dedication, honesty and work ethic so wonderful. Like others here, I watch while working in my 'she-room' and love to watch your progress. Love from a Gran in Adelaide xx
I don’t use glue on my wristlets. And instead of using interfacing I used craft felt as it’s thicker. By using this I didn’t need the glue. And after a year of making and selling them I’ve never had anyone complain of them breaking or coming apart 😊
@@TaylahRose hi Taylah, so what works for me is to put the clasp in the tool and than snap it on the fabric it also makes it straight just a quick tip.
The keychain wristlets twist because of the direction they're sewn. I think you have to sew each side from the same direction. Meaning, if you're sewing down one side, across the bottom, and back up the other side (making a U shape), it will twist.
Exactly this! I make handbags and when I first started out, I would go down one side of the bag strap topstitching turn the corner and go back up the other side, they always would twist. A woman in one of my sewing groups told me they had to be sewn in the same direction..sure enough, no more twisting. :)
Been watching you for a while now. I really enjoy your vlogs. Please be careful not to stretch yourself too thin. (a Southern expression meaning trying to do too many things and wearing yourself out.) Or, as my grandmother use to say "It is hard to catch one chicken when you are chasing ten." lol. Hope my "Southern Wisdom" means something to you. I worry you are working too hard. Have some fun! You are only young once. Advice from an older fan in Mobile, Al USA
Hi Taylah. I got my order from you today and I am so, so happy with it. I have binged watched so many of your videos, so it was such a delight to see my package arrive packed and sealed just as beautifully as you do in your videos. Thank you so much for being so awesome! ~ Jeanne
Omg i missed your videos.... Just 30min back I went to your channel to see if i missed an upload...didnt see a new one...so watched one of your old one...😄
For better results, remove the key ring from the fob. You add it back when done. Without the key ring, the fob will fit better into the plyers. I like to use the plyers to squeeze the fob together just a little bit. When you put your fabric into the fob, try to tuck the fabric all the way in and pressed onto the spikes. Now you can slip the entire thing into your plyers. You only want to use the plyers with the top end of the fob into the plyers. Don't squeeze on the sides. You will dent the fob too much. Once it's secure, add the key ring back on. I make tons of these with vinyl.
Taylah honey, I'm easily old enough to be your mom. I love your videos and your energy and drive are an inspiration. Try to remember that into everyone's path some crap falls....how you handle it is the important part. (And, yes that can include some therapeutic tears before picking yourself up and dusting yourself off to fight another day.)
Ok... I do a melted shampoo bar. And once molded they only loose around. .5 ounce of weight. So great video. But mostly for those that press their bars and not melt their bars.
Love your videos! They are so fun to watch! Isn’t it so rewarding to get so much accomplished? I love that feeling. You should be so proud of yourself!
I absolutely love watching your videos! You are such an inspiration. I want to start making keychain scrunchies and scrunchies. What are the dimensions of fabric you use for the keychain scrunchies? Also I love the keychain part that you use (kind of the clasp part). Where in the world do you get those from. I have been trying to look everywhere lol.
Taylah I have been watching your videos for two years now. You are such an inspiration that I started sewing :) I like using the E6000 glue that has tips on them. I think it is easier to control the glue on where to go on the key fob clamps. Take care of yourself!
Hello Tylah, your business is a good idea.. thats makes me inspire and to start a new business.. i hope i can make it. Keep doing inspire people and also your work is very neat. I admire it. More blessings to come Tylah. ☺️ Im gonna continue watching your videos ☺️ Sincerely admire Joh from Philippines 😘
I had watched a few people who also made what you have put together last week. Along with taking my scraps and making pacifier clips out of them. So that will be my next project. Keep up the great work.
Hello gorgeous, I love watching your videos as you are so real and so friendly. I use e6000 glue for jewellery. Hot tip : open the glue and pour some out on a clear plastic bag and close the lid. It will last a lot longer that way and won’t dry out. Use a toothpick or Icecream stick to add the glue to the fabric and let it dry for a minute or 2. If you take the keyring part off it will be easier to close ❤

I have started using the Quilters Select rotary blade....it is like cutting butter. Not cheap but sooooo worth it. For all the cutting you do, you will love it.
Just consider this slow market as PRACTICE. You will really show off at the next one since you are all through with the practice run. You got this one, girl!
I love the metal Keychain closures, but where can I find then. Such a pretty change from a plan one color closure. You have really got your business down to a science. Great job. This 70 year old is envious 😃
I have never seen a single person do this, but I learned that sewing straighter is much easier when I have my left hand in front of my machine (guiding the material to the needle), and my right hand through the back to keep it straight. I realize that might seem dangerous to some people but it’s really not. I never wear sleeves when sewing and I’ve done this for 15 years.
Right now everyone is off the computer doing Spring cleaning and starting gardens advertise in the evenings see if that helps. Usually markets, and home and garden shows is your best seller right now something they can see hands-on.hope this helps hun. I’m in the same boat lol
Whatever it is Taylah, time will heal. You do not owe any of us an explanation. You have inspired me to start my own side hustle. I am excited to start and I wish you the very best!
Hi Taylah Rose, I've watched several of your videos and I'm just amazed at how well you do , hat off to you! I hope you don't mind me asking. I'm fairly new to sewing. I tried making a scrunchie, but I found the tucking in the fabric before sewing it across super fiddly. Took me ages and some of the seem was on the outside, some of it on the inside, what have I done wrong? Do you square up your fabric before cutting? Would love to have some feedback, many thanks
You may not be a fan of antique brass, but are some of your customers fans of that color? I like it because it’s not shiny. I prefer it over regular brass. It’s a good color for zippers.
Hi, I just wanted to say your doing a fantastic job. I love your videos so informative and inspiring. Keep up the good work you’ve got this. 🙌 You were saying about the images coming out blue on your camera, you just need to change the white balance setting ❤
Hi Taylah, longtime fan here. I have to say I admire what you do and give you mad props for having such a strong work ethic. You inspire me to want to do more. Have a question for you, have you always had the Juki? Would you recommend it over other brands? Is the maintenance about the same as the other sewing machines? Also, how were you able to get your tags so small? That is so cute!!
Time to get an electric rotary cutter. The place you bought your industrial sewing machine at probably sells them. As for your wristlets, you might want to try putting an appropriate interfacing to help give it a little more body so they aren’t as floppy.
You could cut up those Tote bag that you didn't want use and place them inside as interface. Could just iron it together and sew or bind them to fabric with wonder web tape. Up cycling idea 😝
Hey! How do you measure out how long the fabric is you are cutting do you cut it to the length or do you buy standard sized material you know how long it is x

Brilliant video as always!! You are truly am inspiring young women.... now if you don't mind could I use your measurements for the wristlets as I think they will be a good sell for me. Kind regards Heidi 😊
Don’t waste your time with glue, it’s not worth it, just get a good interfacing and make sure the prongs go through the fabric when you close it, once you figure it out there really easy
I have to laugh at people saying you don't sew straight 😹 i recon your pretty good! But I love using a magnetic guide when I just wanna chill out and not stress about being straight! Might be a great option for you! Cheap as from spotlight 🙌
Take care of yourself, don’t worry about an explanation…we love you and understand what happened…we’ve all been there before…just know life will get brighter again❤❤❤
I love your job ! But I couldn't find a video where you say the measurements of your scrounchis and the glue I would love for you to share the name and the measurement
I use the E6000 for my wristlets. I haven’t had any come out with or without the glue, but I like to glue it just to help ensure they don’t come apart! You don’t need much at all though. I also slightly “pre-clamp” my fob hardware to make it easier to get onto the wristlet. ❤
You don't sew straight? I thought to sell fabric items the seams all had to be almost perfectly straight. 🤯 That's why I hadn't sold anything at a fair cuz my seams be crooked when closing my scrunchies. My family and friends kept saying no one is looking that close. 😔
I am 60 years old and you inspire me everytime I watch your videos. Keep up the great work 😊
I’ve been sewing since I was seven years old and now I’m almost 50. I love to see people your age using a sewing machine and your brain.

Love that scrunchie stamp. It’s adorable. Loyalty cards is a great idea. I also like your rationale for implementing them.
I make these wristlets and I use a good interfacing which makes them stronger
The little cards are good. Bit like a business card. Very cool.

To keep elastic from twisting simply stretch band, find middle and stitch across all layers, like one would do in an elastic waistband.

Taylah: I just got E6000 for the first time!
Me: Yay, I love that stuff!
Taylah: Uugghhh! It’s going everywhere!
Me: Yeah, it does that…..
If I may suggest, you may need to pinch your tube in between your thumb and point finger so it won't drip out. (I hope that helps)
If you take the rings off, it's easier to squish the clasps together :)
Might want to play with thread tension to avoid the twisting and ironing step.
