Little tip for you: if and when you return to Athens, you must visit the Lake in the neighbourhood of Vouliagmeni. It's called 'Lake Vouliagmeni' and is quite a special place. Also, has some some nearby restaurants & bars that are worth visiting. Then get your self in a taxi or train and head to the other side of the Athenian suburbs up in the north. Visit Kifissia - a posh suburb just north of the city centre. Very sexy, suave and elegant.
