The global art market has undergone a fundamental transformation in the post-pandemic era. We transitioned from an overheated, frenzied art market to a global hiatus that forced the creation of adaptive models. Today, traditional commercial practices are in question. Globality and technology have increased access and visibility, reaching non-hegemonic regions beyond their borders. Saturated markets are now exploring new horizons. Analyzing the inertia of old market structures, in tension with new realities, is an exercise that contemporary art galleries must undertake. It involves understanding their role and the positions they occupy at the local, regional, and global levels.

What about the Artists who have made their careers without Gallery representation? I, for example, sell directly from my studio. What then?
