As crazy as this is gonna sound, a few years ago. My friends I had at the time and I were fans of Devo and discovered Dev2.0 here on RUclips. Even though, much of the lyrics changed and of course we always said the original was better, we almost became aspired by this somewhat younger cover band and even considered forming a Devo cover band of our own, in the college age degree since many of us were in our 20s and early 30s. Ironically enough and unsurprisingly, one of those name ideas was Dev3.0. However like anything, those plans never materialized and life changed!

Devo outright said that they only greenlit the project because it was the stupidest thing they'd ever heard. and great proof humanity was in fact "de-volving."
i was born 30 years after whip it was released and i still think y’all should leave it as it was. i do give props to the drummer though for keeping that on point to the original
Whip it was release August 1980, and its now December 2022, just over 42 years later, which puts you around 2 years old. You must be a child prodigy, precocious and talented well beyond your years like Blaise Pascal himself to pull off typing an intelligible comment on RUclips at 2 years old!
