Dr. Azra Raza has never failed to mesmerize her audience. Once again I was enthralled by her intellectual and in-depth presentation, defining a “good comrade,” through the outpourings of lofty poets, Faiz and Iqbal.
What a presentation! Simply moving and enlightening... Iqbal and Faiz are so intertwined intellectually physically and in poetry, this talk has highlighted this aspect of their lives: journey from Sialkot to Lahore and from conservative to progressive with the same desire for social change is amazingly similar... Both followed the Persian traditions in Urdu poetry. لا پھر اک بار وہی بادہ و جام اے ساقی۔۔۔
It is such an amazing presentation that I want everyone to listen this. Thankyou mam for enlightening us, we would love to host you offline in coming AMU Literary Festival.
Azra sahiba, each time I listen to your interpretation of Urdu poetry, I am transformed into something akin to a "Haal" and end up listening to it again & again. Wish I was articulate enough to explain it better. Thank you!
Watched this live from Kennedy and was blown away ... The most magical evening in the name of Faiz !
