Group Dynamics and Group supervision : A look via Wilfred Bion

This video is a short lecture on how group dynamics work looking at it from the Bion (1961) model. It shares some basic principles about psychodynamic groupwork, looks at the 3 group positions outlined by Bion in the context of the Work Group and Basic Assumptions Group. Finally we take a brief look at how Valency and Projection can take place in working groups of any description.
The 'sister lecture looks at the 'focus of the supervision group leadership', in the light of this theory. Both videos comprise part of the group supervision module component of the Diploma in Supervision in the Health Professions run by Amelia at Aneurin Bevan University Health Board.
