Home Free always pays appropriate respect in their covers--especially to the content! Their talent is amazing--and I LOVE their 5-part harmony❣️🎼🥰🎶❤️
Such a genius touch to show the silhouette of the fellas in front of the window. I know some see it as a "ghost"y reference but it strikes me as a reflection of the POW/MIA flag. We'll never know just how many of those met the same fate as the soldier of this song. 😥

You cut it off a tad early. It is originally a Dire Straits song about the Falklands war in the 80’s. Tim has a 5 octave range so he can go super low and then super high too. This was hauntingly beautiful. Love it and one of my favorites of theirs.

I have always been a fan of this song by Dire Straits but think Home Free did an excellent version of this song. Tim's natural breathy bass was awesome along with Chance's smooth baritone & loved it when all the guys were doing 5 part harmonies. Who would believe humming could sound so good. They gave it a very solemn feeling. I love that they don't overproduce their songs. These guys are my favorite a cappella group out there.

Adam Rupp is doing a "wind" noise, too, especially when the flags are flying. Notice the ghostly look to Tim & Chance at the windows? And yes, you cut it off too early to hear the all important ending. You'll have to listen to it again for yourself - all the way through. As a fellow Sergeant, although from a different era (85-92), I also appreciate their tributes. They put this out right around Veteran's Day in 2021, I believe. Take care, and thanks!

I absolutely love this song and Home Free! I was so glad to see this song that honors our veterans both passed, retired, and active. Glad to see another reactor who appreciates the acapella style of music. Another group that puts out a lot of material regarding military history is a Swedish band called Sabaton. They are more of a hard rock/metal style, but all of their songs are researched from true historical events. You might want to check them out as well. Thanks for your service, Sarge.

Great Reaction!! This hauntingly beautiful song is one of their masterpieces.Don’t worry about cutting off the end of the song a lot of reactors that are relatively new to Home Free do it with Home Free it’s better to let it play for a few seconds after the video they sometimes either delay the ending or have a special message at the end but sometimes it’s just concert and Pateron message

This is their masterpiece, at least to me. It was originally a Dire Straits song as a tribute to those fallen in the Falklands War in the 1980's. The hmmm, and ahhhhs and ohhhhs are all filling in for the guitar solos by Mark Knopler who originally wrote the song.

Comes across to me as being very reverent with that type of key they are singing this in. The replica fog horn at the conclusion with the wind sounds preceeding that just add a realistic emotion to the conclusion that makes you think further after the ending. The detail they add just makes it incredibly sincere with their discernment to bring our hearts to the intended message. Enjoyed every aspect their performance brought to the forefront in their presentation. ❣ subscribed....

I always liked the Dire Straits version, but I only got really interested in this song through Home Free. Although I have to be honest I think the guitar playing is phenomenal
Yes, this version of Home Free will send shivers through your entire body! This is so emotional. Beautifully sung by Tim and Chance, but the background and harmony of Adam, Rob and Austin is also so beautiful. It looks like a choir or actually a kind of church organ sounds. And the whole setting of the video is just amazing. Simple but with so many details that makes it so profound

Stopped it short and missed the organ. Another voice you should NOT miss is that of Russian teen Diana (dee-AH-na) Ankudinova (an-ku-DEE-no-vah), the "Queen of Goosebumps". Her voice is totally unique and she has masterful stage presence living the music. The best intro to her is probably her "Wicked Game" cover. Just make sure you are seated first.
