1. Match experience 2. Watch Pro matches 3. Watch individual highlights 4. Soccer knowledge (transfers, teams) 5. Visualization Give it a like to help others
The thing that improved my soccer iq the most was watching clips of players like verratti, mata, ozil, etc and pausing right before they make a play and deciding what decision they were about to make. You slowly improve at making lightning-quick decisions by continuously getting faster at judging the play.
playing fifa or pes in individual mode like 'become a legend' mode in pes on realistic camera mode on player will surely helps in soccer iq rather then just scoring screamers on normal mode . . . trust me i have done this and it have helped me a lot...
I've been watching Messi analysis and highlights and I've realized that I haven't been creating space as much and that's why people don't pass to me. I used to focus on the player that has the ball but never think about my surroundings and how I'm going to attack using the space I have.
Good observation! That's an issue I had for a while. Finding that space is so important to receiving the ball. Over time it gets easier as you start creating the habit.
VortexGaming you definitely right! Same for me, back in the days I used to focus on the ball now I focus on the play, whether it's offensively or defensively! Know your roles on every play would help you a lot...
I figured check your surroundings, make space and look where the opponent are and your team is, the ball is less likely to go to you if you have someone near you or you have been marked
A bit late to the party but FIFA Player Career mode can def help. I got transferred to RB Leipzig’s 3 striker/3defender formation and at first I was so confused as to why we kept losing and why chance creation was so hard! But then I realized it was my positioning that was breaking the formation causing us to get scored on, and the runs I was attempting were not the right ones for the formation (not that they weren’t good runs in a vacuum, just didnt work in that setup). When I switched up my play style and the positions I put myself in we instantly hit our groove and i was back to scoring. It definitely made me much more mindful about positioning and finding run angles beyond what I usually see, and helped me understand the importance of playing into space (from 1 striker team to a 3 striker/5 attacker team) as moving recklessly killed our offense every time.
Great content pal. Really liking this channel. Players, I think who have high Football IQs but don't get enough credit for it: Mats Hummels, Roberto Firmino, Marco Verratti, Thiago Silva, Toni Kroos, Cesc Fabregas, Nemanja Matic, Thomas Muller, David Silva, Adam Lallana, Ederson, Sergio Busquets. Notice how none of them are necessarily known for being physical specimens, or particularly fast but they read the game, and anticipate their opponents moves so well that their speed of thought makes up for their physical shortcomings. Have I missed out anybody?
The more questions you have the bigger your soccer world is. If you are rigid and have a fixed perspective, you will have few questions, if any at all. The better the quality of the question the more questions it covers. IQ is generally inert, but I believe IQ responds to challenge by producing growth.
Thanks for this video because i am not that aware of everything and i play left wing now and i dont know everything around me so someone can tackle me out of no where and my crosses usually hits someone in the face.
Sounds like you know what to practice. Practice when your not practicing. When you are practicing, do not practice, but execute what you have learned to be crucial in your most challenging experiences.
A problem for me is that I don't get barely play time because of where I live. There's no teams at all except for school team that starts in January and we only have 6 games a whole season.
You can play with more technical responsibility, play harder, or with a fixed game plan and hope it fits the game your in at the moment. Average to low IQ teams can have success even with an extremely remedial understanding of the game. The confidence they win from any success will just serve to further cement their misunderstandings within the game. If they do not possess the inert pattern recognition ability, the best you can hope for is a coach/manager to sensitize and condition lower IQ players for more universally efficient response sets.
+Soarin “Yogscast Soarin” Skys Both yes and no. Playing in any capacity will help you, but match experience is a totally different thing. That's why you always hear commentators saying things like "It'll take a few matches for him to regain match sharpness". YNWA!
The thing that improved my soccer IQ is playing 3-4 times a week with different people! TBH I've been trynna figure out my best way to play since 2012, it also take years to be good
This may sound like a silly idea, but I think playing Fifa a lot has improved my Football IQ a lot. Keep in mind when I say "play Fifa" I don't mean abusing the pace button, or skill moves. Rather focus on setting up the team, formation, tactics, etc. Focus on improving your passing, movement on and off the ball, try and create openings vs teams that park the bus, and so on. Also, playing online helps quite a bit because when you play against a tough opponent you get "experience" which helps you anticipate, and read the game better. So once you do all of this it's about taking that experience to the pitch and applying everything you've learned. What do you guys think?
+Animesh Singh You! Those are all good. Fifa can especially help you when it comes to tactics. You should check out football manager as well as it goes even more in depth with tactics, set pieces and other areas.
Defense: take up a zonal attitude (first to move, and first to the ball are not the same thing) and try to include extra responsibilities (cover more players, with good balance) for yourself in scrimmages. This engenders more efficiency in every effort of your given mental and physical faculty. Attack: you may be playing with others who do not move like professionals do off of the ball. If this is the case you may find that it is difficult to develop confidence in high speed efficient play.
Well FUT probably helps you know who is on fire at the moment around the world, it helps to know who is who and where they play. Also quick decision making and fast reactions are the foundation of the Soccer IQ which are basic elements of Soccer videogames, if you play on a high level, you will improve in said areas. Well actually making the pass on a pitch/soccerfield is another thing, you may know everything around you and what is going to happen and that is great, but if you are not fit enough to get there in time or if you did not train your technique dribbling the ball or passing and shooting ot heading you will of course not be a great player, but that is unrelated to your soccer IQ, sometimes the best coaches in the world have not been great players but their Soccer IQ may be unrivaled. These things are complex and most of the time it is not a matter of you are good or you are bad. many different factors play a role in the actual "overall ability" of a player.
I have one quastion you today ut was el clasico but olso it was Lfc vs man city and i know u live Lfc so did u watch el clasico or lfc vs man city was it hard to shouse
+FonZy Ah ok. Well first start watching players like Ramos, Pique, Boateng, and others who are the best. Observe their positioning in certain situations, look at when they close players down and when they back down. Do they slide often, do they stay on their feet? Things like that. Start to notice what they do the most in certain situations.
That’s better than watching what most English clubs do these days and it’s just hoofing the long ball. It’s part of our English tradition by now which isn’t good and so Italian and Spanish leagues are much better to watch if you wanna see nice football.
@@JS4V nag the premier league is more competitive than serie A or La Liga because the title race, Europa and the religation race are all generally hard to predict and often undecided until the seasons closing matches. If you were asked about the title you couldn't say now whether Liverpool or city will win you can't say if man u will stay top 6 or if everton, Leicester or watford will make Europa or maybe underdogs like palace or wolves (cmon Wanderers) and you couldn't tell me which teams will get religated

play Football manager and also try to master your vision by playing without looking the ball.
I used to play football manager way too much haha

What happens when you are doing what you are supposed to do in a game, but your teammates are not up to par, or as advanced
You can play with more technical responsibility, play harder, or with a fixed game plan and hope it fits the game your in at the moment. There is no freedom in FIFA

Things that help me most are playing matches in Fifa, Seeing different videos and doing a bit training before the matches.
+Animesh Singh You! Those are all good. Fifa can especially help you when it comes to tactics. You should check out football manager as well as it goes even more in depth with tactics, set pieces and other areas.
Yeah i have completed 3 managerial seasons. Plus the Skill Games Section also taught me a lot of things.
