How to deal with loss ?

This is a song I wrote about a year ago to honor my grandpa who passed away. He was the one who got me into playing guitar. It sucked because I didn’t see him for a while and I wanted to show him how much better I had gotten at guitar. I was going to visit him soon during the summer, but I never got the chance because he passed away from cancer. It was also hard because I gave him one last phone call the day before he died. He was in a state where he wasn’t supposed to be able to respond, but I guess my final words to him gave him the strength to mutter a few last words, which was incredible to me. It was so terrifying because I knew during our last call, each word I said to him would be the last thing he would hear from me. I was so scared of saying the wrong thing, or not saying enough. Or not properly expressing how grateful I was for him and the love he had for me. It was just hard. I didn’t want to hold onto my grief, I did want my memories or thoughts of him to be stained with sadness. So I harnessed my emotions into something positive, something peaceful for my mind. Everyone has their own way of dealing with loss. I don’t have some speech to tell you how to deal with pain or loss. I just wanted to share my way of dealing with pain and suffering that this life gifts us. All I hope is that if you watched my video, and you read this ridiculously long description, just remember to be grateful for the time you get with people. Remember to do your best in life and to always have positive experiences with loved ones, or even strangers. Don’t let your fear and negative emotions drown you, don’t let them drown others. Let’s all do our best to hold each other high, to spread positivity and to create a world that we all can share peacefully. Thank you again for your time. I know I messed in the video but I thought it was funny, and all my other takes just weren’t as good. Eventually I’m gonna produce the song and release it, as well as all the others I’ve made. hey jaiden! good work with this! I am sorry to hear about your grandpa, I know how hard it is to lose someone especially to cancer and each person deals with it a different way and hopefully through music you're able to express those emotions !
