Great review video. Love the comparison between the EXL and Touring and you didn’t just leave it with the ExL and Trailsport!!

I really don't see any improvement compare to a 2021 EXL. Hell they even removed the sunroof. And by improvement I mean enough change to make me want to upgrade.

The engine changed in 2033. It went from the old J35Y6 variant to the J35Y8 variant. Where the change is found in the heads of the engine. There is no more VTEC and SOHC where now there is a DOHC. This is a pretty big change for Honda.

We just got the exl ‘24 man, it’s like a bit smaller version of the sequoia, I love it. Does not feel big at all when driving but noticed we’re still one of the bigger cars on the road. My parents have a sequoia I like both lol. Still feels smaller than it tho. It’s the best bang for our buck in my eyes.

Forgot to add that the Trailsport has AWD standard so the price difference for the EXL AWD to the trailsport is a bit over 4k

Are you sure about the 3rd row legroom listing the Toyota Highlander on top or is that the Grand Highlander? Great detailed review.

I purchased the 2023 EXL model AWD and average 22.5 to 23 mpg fixed. I have gotten up to 29.9 mpg on highway in the south. (no hills). Great engine.

Great Review. Question: Do you recommend going up to the Touring model, or is the EX-L enough?

Great presentation - review of the 2024 Honda Pilot, by the way you speak very much as I do with quick thinking and getting the all processed thoughts and ideas quickly. What is the down side in quick thinking and fast speaking one’s thoughts well about 80 percent of people will find are way of quick thinking and lighting speed form of expression maybe a little too difficult to understand because they may quickly feel themselves stressed out because their heads can’t compute at such speed Lol . !! 😅

I was convinced that I wanted a minivan because on paper all the features are much better for a family. But the pilot just felt better to drive. It’s a more enjoyable vehicle to be in. One of the major benefits of the pilot is that the trunk area is much higher. This means the most common thing you will likely load and unload back there, groceries, will require a lot less bending over to put bag’s in and out. Plus what it lacks in interior storage relative to a mini van, it makes up in towing capacity. If you really need to haul stuff then you can get a trailer and out haul the mini van. Plus you can pull a boat or camper much more easily. So it’s not so easy to decide because storage space isn’t everything.

Very informative review and well presented. I've been driving Outbacks for the last 14 years or so and they've been good (current car is a 2018 OB six cylinder with a CVT) but for my next car it looks like a Pilot (not an Ascent). More room, no 4 cyl turbo, and no CVT and I've read good reviews on the current Honda AWD system.

Great job Justin! We are looking for a Pilot and are thinking of the EXL versus the Black Edition... Very helpful!

Great comparison. I really appreciate the comparison with competitors' models. For me, the only competitor I would consider is the Toyota Highlander.
Were your Highlander comparison specs for the regular Highlander or the new Grand Highlander?
