I once went to a Taco Bell staffed exclusively by middle-aged latina women. I had my wallet in my hand, this is an important detail. I ordered a burrito and watched as they made it in the time it took to reach into my wallet pull out the money and they handed the food to me at the same time as I was handing them the cash.

If we are going by what he puts on it, I could finish it in 10 seconds less while making the burrito wrapping look good. Thousands of burritos really drill in how to make it right. Grab the center edges you'll be using for the ends - make a \_/ with the end near you for easier time - fold the edges you have a grasp on and push down gently, which cause the ingredients to evenly spread- fold in the \_/ end in while holding the ends where you want to make the length of the burrito- then just fold the burrito over after flipping inside any edges that might be sticking out. I might have missed something, but I won't be able to know without having to make a burrito. But I made a pretty good burrito quickly if I say so myself

Dude, I work on an automotive assembly line. We sometimes challenge each other to speed run certain tasks like hooking up all the wiring on a firewall or adjusting a clutch. We would make bets in energy drinks and record the times in sharpie on a post. Working on the assembly line was pain, but people would take extreme pride in the speed and quality of work.

This is one of my favorite Salt videos. It sounds like it would be SumSalt shitposting, but Arcus is so genuine in his pursuits that there's still a journey to be excited about
The gentle care he takes to maneuver the tomatoes with the tortilla as he reaches for more ingredients is sublime, a lesser runner would ignore this as it saves no time yet Arcus never neglects his fundamentals.
He even did the spoon placement skip where you don’t place back the spoons back properly saving you some time but also incredibly risky since the spoon could fall onto the work area and add even more time thus killing the run. That takes incredible skill and luck to pull off. Incredible run overall.
You're crazy. Sure you might be able to shave some frames from the sauce and closing of the burrito but enough for sub 10? I hate to say never, but I just can't see it being possible without TAS.

I also did it in a 7.63 second time. I could keep that speed for a solid 17 hour rush with only 3 ciggy breaks and a lick of deodorant. It’s more than possible to maintain.

Worked in a Mexican restaurant. Saw dudes that could knock out more steps much faster than line up all your ingredients in 2 rows of no more than 3-4 ingredients. Have your utensils already in the ingredients, hold the plate w/ the tortilla in your non-dominant hand and keep it close (above) to your ingredients and move up and down like an S, then set the plate down to the closest empty area and wrap
Now we need him to start practicing for the prepless run! Those typically take a few hours but I’m certain this man could be the one to get us to the sub 1 hour point!
