Poorly directed, poorly written, poorly edited, not enough actual on Location shots, the whole movie was basically shot in Atlanta, except for the Vegas shooting scene. Not historically accurate enough, it's a period film also & it didn't have that 90s' aesthetic it was rushed. The actors did their best with what they were given. Pac deserves a series that goes in depth spanning from 1968 ( when Afeni joined the Panthers ) so there could be a better understanding of who Afeni was, how the Panther 21 happened, & the world Pac was going to be born into, to September 13 1996. It would be better that way like The Wu Tang An American Saga, The New Edition story, The Temptations, Jackson's an American Dream, etc Pac's story is too important to be done with mediocrity .

Scene two I would like to see pac as a young boy, with his mother taking him to those black panther speeches, him listening to black panther leaders talk , and also him getting in trouble and his mother making him read books as punishment , so we can get an idea of were he got such a strong mind, Scene 3, I would like to see the struggles they were going threw, not only with the black panther party ending and everyone going there own way, but I would like to see the poverty they went through, how some nights they went without food. How they were in and out of shelters, moving from place to place, and how the FBI was following them. And I would also like to see mutulu Shakur role in both Tupac and Afenis life, and also how Afeni's addiction affected pac. SCENE 4 I would like to see pac in Baltimore with jada and his love for the arts and theater, and also to demonstrate how at Baltimore he had found his calling but he had to leave that and move to California, where he moved to cali all by himself, with no guidance and I would also like to see how not having his father in his life affected him also, I would like to see where he started getting familiar with the thugs and gangster , where he started hanging with them, cause they were like his father figure, cause pac was constantly looking for that, cause he needed that guidance, you can tell it hurt him not to have his father in his life, and I would like to see him in digital underground, I would like to see him getting his first role in juice, I WOULD like to see how his whole THUGLIFE MOVEMENT started. And I would like to see his notes and the blueprints he had written for THUGLIFE, how he wanted to bring thugs and gangsters like crips and bloods and turn them into soldiers to protect their communities, I would like to see his friendship with biggie and his friendship with Haitian Jack and his friendship with Jimmy henchman, which would build up to the moment of him getting shot at quad studios, and tell the whole truth of what really happened not the lies and conspiracies they been going around for years, I would like to see what led up to pacs anger that he came outta jail with. Meaning I wanna see all the shit talking and subliminals, all the shit radio people and tv personnels was saying about him while he was locked up from the east coast, I wanna see how biggie was wearing his stolen jewelry from quad studios, I WANNA SEE THE TRUTH , I wanna see how he got on deathrow , HOW KEISHA MORRIS HIS WIFE contacted Suge about the whole thing, and I wanna see the moments that led up to pac death. I also wanna see pacs flaws and all the good and bad that came with him, all the mistakes he made ,I WANNA SEE IT ALL cause those imperfections is what I like about pac, those mistakes he made in front of the big screen. The lessons he learned from them, I wanna see the pac that cracked jokes and laughed, the angry pac, the hard working serious pac. AND I wanna see the relationship he also had with jasmine guy, how much she held him down when he was shot. I wanna see it all. I also wanna see his relationship with snoop and the moment snoop was also dissing biggie and the Moment he said biggie was his homeboy lmaoo. I wanna see the change pac was going through before he died, how he had planned on letting the beef go. How he planned in opening his own record label, the talks he had with certain people like Al sharpton and Malcom x's daughter and some other leaders about stuff he wanted to do for the community and how they could help him accomplish that. I WANNA SEE HIS RELATIONSHIP WITH YAKI AND MUTAH AND THE REST OF THE OUTLAWS, and his plans for the OUTLAWS, I wanna see the public speeches he gave , oh I also wanna see him getting beat up by the police. I WANNA SEE how he wanted to make basket ball leagues, football leagues for the kids, make concerts but you had to have a certain grade to get in, build more community centers, ALL OF THAT I WANNA SEE.
Straight outta compton was a good movie but it’s characterisation was appalling. Dr Dre was a fake portrayal, that Suge Knight character was comical too
@@waynemarshall8836 they should have used the Suge Knight from "All Eyez On Me" instead the one they used who look like a Great Value Walmart version of Suge Knight.
Maybe he was gonna just relate it to how NY rappers were spreading rumours that he was raped. I doubt he would’ve shown a scene implying him actually being raped
@J B sleazy shit like that would have possibly made the movie more dramatic. The movie as it came out was boring as fuck, like a documentary. Like 2pacs wikipedia site was the script for the movie
MY personal issue with the Tupac movie was that the information displayed was news that we already knew as fans. It should’ve shown parts of his life that we did not know about...things that weren’t necessarily already on his records.
The movie is trash because they literally just watched a bunch of 2Pac interviews and made a movie about it. They didn't show anything we didn't already know
To be honest they should have gotten the Actor from Straight outta Compton to play Tupac. He didn’t look as much as Tupac like Demetrius But his mannerisms, Voice and overall persona was A fucking one 💯
The 2pac movie and the straight outta compton film came out 2 years apart but soc is the best hip hop autobio as of now that movie was directed perfectly while the 2pac movie wasnt 2pac needs a series to do him justice as its going to be alot to cover regarding him from his birth to his death give him like a 6 or 7 episode series
The Biggie movie was dope; the Tupac movie was left a lot to be desired. I never felt that the Tupac actor was Tupac at any point in the movie, but that wasn't the case for me with the Biggie actor in the Biggie movie.
I never watched the movie because I know there is no one that can truly be close to portraying 'Pac. I might check it out tho; since E.D.I. cosigned it.
The only way to do anything on the bright screen about Tupac and his life is to do a similar thing to Band of Brothers. A HBO X amount of parts series. His life was so busy and full of events and stories to tell. Capture every detail and do it with a top budget and producing team.
I mean unless he comes back like Jesus, there won't be a perfect representation of his life. Heck, even if he did come back, people would still criticize it lol.
I’m still waiting on a great 2pac movie. I’m talkin the real typa shit us real fans didn’t know about his life or what transpired behind the scenes. You can still have Demetrius playing Pac...but everything else gotta go
I agree with him. When it comes to pac, for some reason, the masses will never be satisfied..ever pac movie, the people will go thru it with a fine tooth comb...they dont even do that with religion, their personal lives, etc...pac was a very intense person as well as lived a hell of a live during his only 25 years of living...so i agree. People aint going to be happy unless pac plays pacs
A legitimate Pac movie would take too long. I would like see them focus on his childhood, ATL days, and studio time. Also bring up the fact that he met his real father.
People always focus on if the actor looks like Pac but that is like the least important thing about making a biopic. You need an actor that can capture the spirit of Pac, the charisma etc. AND you need a good script, a good adaption of the real story. You can and should sacrifice (or bend) some factual detials in favour of a good story. This movie was just a litteral reinactment of a bunch of news stories and interviews, didn’t tell a good story, didn’t offer the viewer anything more than that. Not terrible, but amateur work IMO. Tupac deserves more than that.
It seemed like they were fast forwarding through little snippets of his life, instead of going into details. And they opened a 5th of Henny EVERY OTHER SCENE.
The movie was alright for what it was to me. I understand a lot of things weren’t true or exaggerated but the man died so there’s a lot that we not go know. Straight outta Compton had ALOT of inaccuracies but people loved it.
I never saw the Pac movie. Preview looked lame. Then after watching how lame the Biggie and NWA movies was, why bother? Homie really said the guy did a great job playing big? Oook
The biggest problem w/ the Pac Movie is people were expecting to learn some undisclosed information about his life, his beef w/ Biggie & his death. The N.W.A. movie was so great & in depth, that the Pac movie felt rushed. That could’ve been a good 3 hours long...
Movie depictions should always be seen as semi-fiction. You're only ever seeing what's in the writer's/director's mind's eye. We all paint the picture in our own way.
Demetrius did a solid Job , with a better director he would have done a legendary Job , he wasn't the problem it's the inconsistency in things that are on video from 96 , like him performing songs at events that weren't consistent and events , 2pac is a legend many things are common knowledge , Edi can make excuses but everything wasn't up to par
That’s not what the problem was. They basically put a movie together that was a re-enactment of all the footage that exists of Tupac. There was next to no info in that movie that we, the public, didn’t already know. Whoever wrote it was garbage
I personally feel the nit pick isn’t the issue with the Pac Biopic. If I’m being honest. The movie was presented as a a cautionary tale. And I don’t feel like it showed that. And the LT Hutton kept saying before the release of this movie that he was never Death Row, he is Dogg Pound and it’s a cautionary tale. And I feel, my opinion, that was the issue. I can talk about scenes I didn’t like, such as 2Pac mom walking from the jail & dear mama playing was too long, but that didn’t break the movie. The house of blues performance was too long, but it didn’t break the movie. I would’ve personally preferred less music type video scenes and more dialogue scenes. But that didn’t break the movie. I feel the way it was presented was maybe LT Hutton was too close to the movie to do it. But Snoop doing his own voiceover to me. Took away from Snoop. And maybe that choice was made because in the NWA Biopic. Snoop character didn’t feel like Snoop. And I still wish they had a different Snoop in the NWA movie. But I still like the NWA Biopic. The Pac Biopic. How can it be cautionary if I don’t really know how Pac died and it’s public knowledge? I mean, there’s interviews and street murmurs that Baby Lane killed Pac. But that wasn’t shown. And even if you don’t finger point. The Biggie movie Big gets shot. It was felt. When Pac got shot? They followed it up with a gospel song that slowed the scene down. It took away from the feeling. Just let the shots happen. Let us feel that tragic moment. Let us feel that Oh No moment. Let us come to the verge of wanting to cry again. I just feel like we were robbed of that as an audience member. That’s all. The USA series was on point to me and they didn’t even have the approval to do the real music. And even though Demetrius Shipp Jr played a better Pac than the one in the USA pic. I still overlooked that because the story was just executed better. I felt the detectives really wanting to solve the case. Maybe Keffie D character I. The USA film was meh. But the overall feel was awesome. The music wasn’t that bad. They had spice 1 and DJ quik. It was a dope USA movie. The LT Hutton movie though? I bought special screening tickets to see it in the VIP theater at Atlantic station in Atlanta. I bought that ticket a month in advance. I splurged and had a fake Thug Passion drink because even though going into the movie I felt a little odd about it. I was stoked to see the movie. I have Hutton the benefit of the doubt. But when I saw it. I felt that overall. It could’ve been executed better. I didn’t like how the movie ended. I know Hutton mentioned he didn’t know how to end the movie until he heard the snoop and sway interview. And that popped a red flag for me. But I still went in hoping for the best. But just like I thought. I just didn’t like how it unfolded. The movie didn’t end well. If it ended better. I think we would’ve walked away overall having a better perception of the movie as a whole. I just want a do over. Less people close to the situation involved. But I’m happy with Th the USA movie for the most part if I never get that do over.

They should have done a series like unsolved that way u can do more
The 2pac movie sucked and it was inaccurate, straight outta Compton was bad too.
You crazy straight outta Compton was the best one
Thank you bro. SOC wasn’t terrible but it wasn’t as informative or good as it should have been. We still don’t know about Ren and Yella
Straight outta compton was a good movie but it’s characterisation was appalling. Dr Dre was a fake portrayal, that Suge Knight character was comical too
He didn't perform "Hail Mary" at the House Of Blues July 4, 1996, but he did perform "Hit Em Up" live at the House Of Blues that night.
@@waynemarshall8836 they should have used the Suge Knight from "All Eyez On Me" instead the one they used who look like a Great Value Walmart version of Suge Knight.
Too bad we won’t see Singleton’s version RIP
He wanted PAC to be raped which DID NOT HAPPEN
J B I’m definitely not down with that then. I’m die hard Pac fan. Did Singleton say himself that he was going to include that in the movie?
J B John Singleton didnt say he was gonna include that. That was rumors and he said it was just a draft .. so we’ll see
Maybe he was gonna just relate it to how NY rappers were spreading rumours that he was raped.
Now what's interesting is that there is a video on RUclips of a guy with an iPhone at the Tyson fight that night. They said he was a time traveler.
Whats name this GLASSES???
I thought kat graham did a great job in the movie. My criticism was the organization of the film. I thought most of the actors did a fantastic job.
Pac was a movie no need for a Pac movie. The guy had enough movies of his own on & off screen lol.
Swear only rapper I know in real life to shoot 2 off duty police officers and not go to jail legend
@@marquesjohnson2903 right
The movie is trash because they literally just watched a bunch of 2Pac interviews and made a movie about it. They didn't show anything we didn't already know
5:58 Did Vlad just say Snowfall has a better cast than Boyz in the Hood? How?
To be honest they should have gotten the Actor from Straight outta Compton to play Tupac. He didn’t look as much as Tupac like Demetrius But his mannerisms, Voice and overall persona was A fucking one 💯
It was someone else that did the voice for 2Pac in SOS.
Bro his feelings got hurt when he seen that ipad lmao damn that was funny
The 2pac movie and the straight outta compton film came out 2 years apart but soc is the best hip hop autobio as of now that movie was directed perfectly while the 2pac movie wasnt 2pac needs a series to do him justice as its going to be alot to cover regarding him from his birth to his death give him like a 6 or 7 episode series
Worst. The easy story was wrong and made him look like a looser
It needed to be done by some1 who does those film types. F. Gary Gray, director of cadillac records....some1 on that level
I didn't like how the movie is mostly just reenacted RUclips clips of 2pac stringed together.
They jumped to the death row part of pacs life too fast, I still think they should of had a two part movie
The Snoop voice over was ridiculous 2
We need oulawz storm on a interview
I saw all eyez on me for first time since they released on 3 years ago on June it was very good and excellent job
The movie got bacclash cuz his mother didn’t approve
How mother didn’t approve because she died y’all just finding shit to cry about
deeebossman write new back when you can formulate a proper sentence, because I don’t know what the fucc you trying to say
When is the Hughes bro PAC documentary coming out ?
That’s bs E.D.I. They can make a great 2Pac movie that we the fans would love.
They should of just did a series instead of a movie.
I mean unless he comes back like Jesus, there won't be a perfect representation of his life. Heck, even if he did come back, people would still criticize it lol.
That’s cool but we need a death row movie from the beginning to the end
This niggas response too an iPad being in a Tupac movie based in the 90s is it happens man!! 😂😂😅😅😂😂 I’m fucking rolling
Nah, they did a Malcolm and Ray movie fine. Length wasn't the issue, it was just amateurish.
Dude kinda favored Tupac but his acting like Pac was straight trash.
Wrong he killed it and it was his first time acting
Ray starring Jaime Foxx or Get on up ( The James Brown movie) with Chadwick are the best biopics I’ve seen so far.
I wish they did Pac the same way they did the New Edition story. Can't fit that man's complex life into 2 hours
That NETFLIX series with Tupac and Biggie made more sense to me. You can't tell an in depth story 'bout them two in 2 hours.
Where's the Outlaws movie at?
Demetrius did a solid Job , with a better director he would have done a legendary Job , he wasn't the problem it's the inconsistency in things that are on video from 96 , like him performing songs at events that weren't consistent and events , 2pac is a legend many things are common knowledge , Edi can make excuses but everything wasn't up to par
haha i had forgotten about that film. thanks to vlad, now i can laugh at it all over again
That Ipad is a time traveler..
When I saw that CVS pharmacy @ the end I said "Ahh fucc wasn't no CVS in 96" Lol we all know it was ECKERS smh..
I thought the movie was dope. I seen it in the theater and I brought it on Blu-ray.....
That’s not what the problem was. They basically put a movie together that was a re-enactment of all the footage that exists of Tupac. There was next to no info in that movie that we, the public, didn’t already know. Whoever wrote it was garbage
John singleton definitely should have directed all eyes on me. Kinda think pac would have wanted that
I'm just happy to say that I got the live to see a Tupac movie I'm hoping they can make another one before is my time to go..
I’m down with Vlad on Snowfall. Love it!!!
2Pac and John singleton were not coo at the end of pax’s life ! In a tecorded phone conversation between pac and monster kody pac said John singleton is talented but he’s a succa”
Movie was so bad i forgot i even watched it in theatres, Straight outta compton was a life changing movie on the other hand.
I sure wouldn't want someone making a movie bout me once id past away... RIP Tupac Love Ya!
