Epidemic Sound
James, you have a ton of patience. You are a very good captain in my opinion. Props for rescuing those people. Good on you.
James it is such a pleasure to see a Captain that knows what he is doing, and does not yell at the crew. Be happy, be safe
@@theHairyProject. Not a fan then?
James, outstanding job completing the rescue. You saved those lives. In addition to that, watching you shepherd your at-times distracted crew was truly as master-class in leadership. I can scarcely imagine your internal frustration having to manage guys who have difficulty taking direction.
Crikey getting them to do what you asked, was like herding cats!
Wow, just incredible! You saved three people, it doesn't get any better than that.
James, you're hilarious. As a fellow sailboat owner and crew coach, I admire your ability to turn your frustrations into laughter and smiles. Not many captains nowadays do this, and frankly its quite refreshing. You're one hell of a sailor and I hope we meet someday.
Glad someone appreciates it ;0) Beers on me if we run into each other.
@@thelastpirate in that case, I’ll bring the fine liquor 😂
El Capitan James! You are a scholar and a saint for rescuing the Yaro crew. Glad you made it safely to land after such a long passage, and without killing that Mario guy...wow. It was all I could stand this short video. It seemed like the rest of the crew had their fill as well. Congrats to you and Ana on baby Luna! Looking forward to seeing more videos of your adventures. Fair winds and calm seas!
That crew was very fortunate in many ways. Weather and sea conditions were excellent, and Zingaro was a terrific boat and captain for a rescue. Great job all !
Man I’ve been following you for years and by far this is your most epic journey yet! Welcome back to shore
I'm an old salt. Been sailing since 10 yo and crewing and owned my own coastal boat. Docking is always an adventure. I noticed you had to show your crew how to set the lines? I recently became free with my time and would love to sail with you as crew, I am old school meaning I am anal retentive if everything is not shipshape. I would have been cleaning the cabin and storing stuff constantly. I also notice the guys you have as crew really appear more as passengers? I would love to crew for you, free or even at a price for the adventure. One drawback, I am 74 but still downhill ski double blacks and can run a mile, probably more fit and active than those in the video but I also know what a bowline (and reef, running bowline, sheepshank, etc) is and how to use it. I also saw the fenders delated, I never would have let that happen, especially coming to port. Nice job docking I would have gone even slower but you know your boat. Let me know how to contact if you think I might be a replacement? I also play harmonica for those long days and nights.
74 is absolutely not a drawback. You sound awesome. Please contact me through my website sailingzingaro.com/ top righthand corner says 'contact'. Looking forward to chatting with you. -James
Congratulations James and Crew what an epic journey!! James is one hell of a Captain!! Enjoy! 🍻
You guys did a great job with the rescue! You should be very proud of yourself.
So glad you showed this! You are the world's most tolerant man 😂 what an absolute bomb site 😂 congrats on landfall, you crazy sailor ☠️ 🏴☠️ 🦜
Id be annoyed AF at a crew who doesnt pay attention or listen to commands. James you have thicker skin than I do.
Agreed. “Get the fenders from the other side of the boat and put them on the pier side. Except for the large one. Leave it be in case another boat heads towards our boat.”
You should only have to say that once. The instructions were clear. You shouldn’t have to pause and ponder and do nothing. You shouldn’t be on the pier playing around joking about how steady the platform is. Listen to how many times he asks for fenders. What he SHOULD do is say, “Okay, if you don’t get the fenders, you pay for the damage out of your own pocket.”
For those playing the drinking game he asked 5 times.
Getting the fenders isnt urgent and he's literally doing nothing. They should be able to enjoy their first moments in land. He's simply being a decent captain, nothing grand
Need to give them a break. Massive language barrier.
Oy Vey ..! Good luck with the keystone crew.
@aretamilne3864 the fenders protect the boat. The boat is what protects them from the ocean. The fenders are 100% more important than someone playing the clown. That guy wouldn't be allowed back on my boat if I was Captain.
Great job Sir!
You saved some lives!
You should feel Proud of a job well done!
What an awesome job you have done getting these people to safety, from a marine rescue skipper Australia.
Gratz on the passage! However watching y’all dock looked like herding cats, lol loved it.
Congratulations on your journey to Panama and saved lives on the way! Take care from the east coast of Canada 🇨🇦
Glad you made it
Great work, Captain. ❤ from Australia and I would love to sail with you anywhere. You definitely know what your doing and everyone needs to listen to you.
Good deal, always nice to dock after I'm out for a while. Great job backing in, people don't realize sailboats don't really back-up very well. Couldn't believe your crew would not listen to you when docking. Must have been some kind of tunnel vision going on because they were at the dock.
He was nit picking them, being a control freak.
@@mexicosearcher I don't agree. At dock, just like at times of intense wind and seas, the captain needs crew to do exactly what is asked and do it promptly.
Thank you for having rescued our bunch of Frenchies back to safety on land. You displayed a lot of skills to keep both crew and unexpected guests aligned to your course of action. I did not know your channel before these three videos. I will certainly follow you from now on. Good job, man.
Welcome to the channel. Not a problem, we were happy that we were so close.
Thank you for your rescue of those folks. Great job.
Wow you have patience with eejits, cool that the one guy still has his swimsuit from grade six 😅
I am excited for you! A burger is the first thing I went for when I got back too LOL
Fish and chips with a beer is my go to.
James so great to see you picked the solid boat this time and you did the saving. have not been following much lately but was a supporter back when you got this boat. I was worried you might give up on it. back when you had the wrong fuel filter on it and when it flooded. so glad you kept it. keep up the good work. i’m going to binge your episode I missed right now.
Patience of a saint James, wow.
Well Done! Outstanding Job Captain.
I really appreciated watching you go through the docking process in a unfamiliar berth. I also appreciate that you are very serious in docking, as so many accidents happen in Marinas. Nice work! And a lovely boat.
Welcome home. Good work SV Zinagaro. Hi to Billy from me; and Hi to Ana and the new one!!
I’ve been in the Army for 15 years and docking your boat reminded me of work lol. Good job not being an a-hole, nobody responds to it well. Glad everything worked out
Well done James, three very happy people saved. I hope they manage to salvage their yacht. Again, well done James, you rock ⛵🥂
Good job. Thank you for doing your good deed saving them and congratulations on the baby!
Yay!! I’m so glad you’re safe.
I'm glad you made it.
Terrific. Happy everybody is safe.
Ahoy Brody! GREAT job in challenging conditions man, saving 3 souls, way to go!! Especially glad you get downtime and to be with the lady and the baby. I’m sure it’s going to feel beyond good to regroup w them and decompress from the tight quarters. Much love bro!
Great Job Captain
Thanks for sharing.
Keep them coming please.
Very much appreciate the tip! Will do!
Missed the live, but watched anyway! Glad your safe and Anna's coming! 🙏❤🇺🇸⛵👣🤗⚘
Glad you all arrived safely James.
The mess and extra work is worth knowing you saved 3 people !!!
Well done
Exactly.
Wow! James you seem in good spirits considering the circumstances. The crew on the other hand… haha
A little bit like herding cats trying to get the fenders moved. :). All good, though. A great journey!
Yo James, from one captain to another = ATTA BOYEE!!!
Paying it forward. Bravo.
Close too the shop and fuel dock ! It's been a big trip , everyone congratulated with this successful trip ! Thanks James!
Great story, happy sailing!
James Patience is a virtue and you have quite a bit of it.
James, awesome job on helping these people out! You would be the one eyed want on my side if I were ever in trouble… Good on you my friend!❤
Wow, can't wait to see the actual rescue !
You keepin' up the good mood, not an easy voyage, well done!
beautiful everybody well done, cant wait to see anna and baby...bravo out
Good job. Next find Plucky!
So glad I found this channel. Good stuff!
Holy smokes James, patience is one thing, you dig deep and find a zen state I would never reach. Those guys were as useless as any humans I have ever seen on on the deck of boat. I am sure they are all wonderful folks but wow!
They aren't sailors, they are customers paying for a sailing experience. Why would they be skilled?
Capitão...boa tarde..belo trabalho e uma postura sensata.. parabéns
So awesome of you to make room on your boat for three others!!!
As one would expect JOB WELL DONE...Expect nothing less.
...much respect....cheers
Good to see you Safe!
Thank you for sharing!
Hey shipmate what an epic voyage!!!
Put a hero feather in your hat sir. Mariners are a special breed. Thank you for answering the call!
Rule of thumb... never approach any faster than you want to hit it. Great job!
Words of wisdom there.
Yep a good skipper, quiet, calm and relaxed.
I think you have had enough James .I know the feeling .well done you .
The most educative sailing video I’ve seen 🙏
I’ve only just found this channel, Absolutely fantastic great job with the rescue and Mario is hilarious. You remind me of a good friend of mine I did a transat with, great sailor, top man and goes out of his way to assist anyone, land or sea.
You know what they say about docking always approach it at the speed your prepared to hit it at ⛵💨
Land Ho, we're glad y'all made in back on land..
Breathtaking kindness, thoughtfulness...
Cosmic miracle
Love the one handed bowline...i thought i was the only one that knew that!
Wow 40 day minimum and a rescue 🛟...hats off to you CAP'N..good weather too you..and what a blast... Awesome 😎
Wow. Heroes! Excellent
Everyone loves a happy ending! Remember, folks, onboard, the Captains word is law whether it's hauling sheets or tying up fenders at the dock. It makes handling a vessel so much smoother 😊
Way to go James a great watch what a legend bro we need more people like you in this world cheers bro all the way from Newzealand 💚
Life above all well done James
awesome , keep your vrew and survivors safe , gr8 job
Well done James!
Great job !!
Good job everyone!
James , excellent leadership.
Nice stern in docking and patience with a crew that apparently needs to have their hearing checked. Well done on both
Wow, amazing job!
You're the man, James, and with seeming novice deckhands - cool as!
Way to go James! Love The Way You Captain. Peace Love Out.
Thanks Greg! Much love man!
So patient, captain
There is a very good video of the rescue.
Finally, that cliffhanger had me all chafed up
You have the patience of a Saint!!!!!!
Back safe and sound 😊
G'day James. When I first started sailing, an old seadog told me out in the harbour there is a heap of room to prepare for berthing. This includes preparation of lines, setting up of fenders etc. Later on with friends on board, it was a simple matter of putting into words, those things. Lucky for me, English was their first language. Captain, I take my hat off to you in being patient, and dealing with passengers who needed everything explained. Btw, in the sequence of events, when you leave, will you be visiting Pitcairn island again.? If so, check out Emily Christian. She has excellent P.I. honey. And her own channel. Anyway my friend, many thanks for sharing your experiences with this armchair sailor. Look forward to meeting you, if/when you get down here. Take care and atb from down here in NZ.
Excellent report of the trip.
Wow amazing
Ahoy! Glad everyone is back on land safe and sound.
Bravo Sir!
Feeling the tension, long time at sea together, bound to develop some tension
Congratulations.
Captain Ron herding a flock of Kittens.
HAHAHAHAHAHA, that made me spit out my water.
Lucky Mario had a carer onboard
Whew! You made it.
Congratulations with making landfall!!!!
Your boat looks like 2 dozen joyful puppies had a go at it....
Greetings,Henk,the Netherlands!!
So awesome you are all safe and sound
Great footage
Keep it up
