This was so interesting and helpful!! Thank you for this detailed explanation. I had wanted to ask about the Lye water solution and soap temperature as this has been a question of mine for awhile. So is having room temp lye water solution (80-85F) work with higher temp oils?
Yes, it does. The temperature of the lye water will bring down the temperature of the oils, so once it is mixed, the soap batter will be at around 95 degrees F (for the temperatures I had). In the beginning, they recommend to have the temperatures within 10 degrees of each other because it is kind of like insurance that the process will work. However, once you are familiar with the process, when you can recognize trace and all that, you can definitely do room temperature lye water. Thanks for stopping by!
This is very useful information Glenda. Thank you so much. 🙏😊

That technique is really hard and your soaps still turned out amazing. Nice job Glenda!
Thank you Jen! yes, it is definitely a hard technique
Beautiful tall and skinny shimmy soaps each soap a little different to the others but they are all so beautiful Glenda. I love them all.
Thank you Tanya! It was a tricky technique for sure, I did like the fragrance though
