This is why I like the stories before and after btth & mu timeline with dragon prince yuan and the great ruler where both mc characters only have one wife. My favorite among the 4 stories is dragon prince yuan. I love seeing the growth between Zhou Yuan and Yaoyao where they are together pretty much through out the story until Yaoyao was put into a deep sleep.

Please don't come for me, but in my honest opinion, Xiao Yan and Xun Er's relationship feels so cold, it's bland and there's no spark. Like Xun Er just happened to be there and suddenly they were together. There was no tension even before, no push-and-pull in the usual friends-to-lovers trope. Absolutely no buildup😢 I'm really not feeling it💔😭
