    I refurbish Scotty Cameron’s and they do fetch great prices. Most of what I have done are blade putters and these days I specialise in stainless models and it’s surprising how much people are prepared to pay for Scotties as you can get some exceptional putters ( Piretti, Zen, Odyssey etc.,) for similar money and arguably but manufactured / milled better. Whilst there’s a mystique surrounding them, and the head covers have been very cleverly marketed, the latest iterations are not any better than the earlier ones you showcased. I’ve got about 15 blades in my collection with pride of place given to the Tei 3 ( unused and mint) and also a copper button back ( still in original Scotty bag and grip still wrapped). And I agree the market prices for them paid by collectors is significant. If you want a great, soft feeling blade putter, carbon steel head and great grip try a Sikura - around £130 delivered.

    I scored a Scotty NP2 Pro Platinum 6 months ago at a thrift store. I sold the clubs & bag it came with for a small profit, so basically for free. Putter head is banged up pretty good, would need a pro refurb, but the shaft, grip & shaft sticker are in great condition.

    You can get a Studio Style with a GSS insert for far less than the Super Rat. Not nearly as rare or pretty. But just pointing out you can find cheaper Scotty’s with the inlay.

    I want a GSS Pro Platinum Scotty!! I wonder if you can drill out some of the face to make it face balanced? I know players who have counter weight in the grip to steady stroke

    • @Gramkan
      @Gramkan Год назад

      No you’d need to add a longer hosel, the toe hang or face balance of a putter is dictated by where the shaft line intersects the head

    Got hold of a Scotty Catalina 2 for £35, arguably it was in pretty poor condition - so fixed it up, sold it a few years ago for £400 - winner winner chicken dinner!

    Never use my Scotty Cameron head over on my California model…one I might lose it, and two with the Scotty cover on it it might walk away from my bag unintentionally. It is by far my favourite putter and pretty much stays in the bag although I have multiple ( close to fifty) others. Don't Ask! Cheers Mike.

    I found a scotty cameron pro platinum for 50 sweidsh (5£) on a yard sale. It was in a good condition aswell. Needed a new grip but otherwise no problem. Was missing its headcover. I figured it might have been a fake so I bought it and went to a pro to find out. He told me this happens all the time. So many finds these putters at this price and then sell them.
    I sold it for 2500 skr (250£) so a pretty good deal for me🤣🤣🤣

    I have Scotty Cameron Kombi and cheapest I could find the headcover was $60 and now I wanna replace the grip with the same one and that’s looking like it will be $100 only paid $150 for the putter which I love it we’re in sync together

    So no selling my Scottys soon. I have a NP2 TeI3 (1996/7) and also a NP Classic (1998). Both have been refurbed so not playing them. I also have a Red X that I sent in this morning for refurb plus a newer NP Studio Select and a California Del Mar. Both have also been refurbed. What can I say, I love Scottys. Only one I still want is a Newport 2 Fanta Fe

    Bloody hell, no chance at those prices, even second hand and half that price? I'll stick to my old £50 Yes putter, it works for me as you say. I had a go at some Scotty's..... a couple years ago at my club, as we have the Titleist fitting centre there. I couldn't see what all the hype was about?

    The amount of money Scotty asks for his putters at least he could use magnetic headcovers. Nice review of such beautiful putters.

    I found a Scotty Cameron Newport special select 2.5 at a carboot 2 years ago, I payed 90 quid for it had it refurbished even though it was still in great condition, had different colouring. Absolutely love it, but I wouldn't never pay a silly price for one. Just got lucky.

    As always it’s the person holding the club, not the club. I’ve always used a 1960’s Arnold Palmer blade putter that was handed down to me. There’s 4 of them in pristine condition so figured why not.

    If you look at early Bad Golf videos, Alex Horne seems to have a battered Newport Terillium putter. Maybe worth contacting him to see if he wants to have it refurbished, send it to Cameron, show how much it cost to refurbish and get Replay to value before and after.
