I agree with you ladies and I love your wisdom❤️If I have the wine, I’m going to gain weight, lose sleep and feel and look lousy the next day or days. Negatively impacts mental health for me, so I make different choices now and feel much better. I have wine for special occasions. Drinking alcohol daily is a lovely ritual, but at 60, you pay dearly, I do anyway.

The accuracy! 🥰 “Things affect us more….the inflammation…” …I am not sure where my passion for life went (at 54 years). I miss that. Some say it’s the loss of oxytocin…but, there are women over 50 thriving and having lust for life.

The struggle with sleep in menopause is real! Anyone else wake up between about 2-4am and have difficulty getting back to sleep? Does anyone have the answer to great sleep during menopause lol. Emma x

After a long time of using supplements to help I eventually went to see a menopause specialist who prescribed bio identical HRT and I’ve slept well since I’ve been on them x

I have this exact problem. I'm looking for a solution...I don't like melatonin, Valeria doesn't work. Maybe I would respond to hrt.

I would definitely explore HRT. It all depends on where you are in this journey, what you’re comfortable with, etc. I do not have a uterus so I do not need to take progesterone, however I have found that a little bit before bed helps me sleep. I do this in addition to my estrogen patch.

HRT Oestrogen pump gel. I use 4 pumps daily. Has made a huge difference. Got rid of over 20 symptoms. It’s extracted from the yam plant and is very safe. If you’re uk based I’d suggest looking at Louise Newson’s website. A British GP who has great info relative to the NHS and getting help from your local GP. I hope you find a solution x

Thank you, very informative. I am soon 44 but have been suffering terrible menopausal symptoms recently after a very stressful few months. I had no idea lifestyle or trauma could impact in such a way xx

Great, thank you so much! Another book that's amazing for hormones and peri menopause is by Lara Briden, Hormone Repair Manual x

So many truths here. I’m 47 and while I’m not yet menopausal, I’m pretty sure things have started to ‘shift’. For eg, last year I started to have hormonal changes that I hadn’t experienced before… Towards the summer, it was crazy (cranky, anxiety, itchy skin, sometimes hot flushes) and while it has not reoccured in the winter, it’s clear it was a warning sign of what’s about to happen. I discussed this with my doctor and she totally dismissed it as ‘nothing’ because my mum was peri-menopausal at 50. Well, talking to my mum, she was very clear that things started changing indeed at least 10 years before the actual menopause! Doctors are not always exactly correct!

I’m so glad that you did this video Trinny ❤️ Very good point made about where you are in your cycle when you get your blood tests done. I’m thinking about buying the tests myself and asking my doctor to go through the results with me.

Trinny, Thank you so much for this fantastic video 🙌🏻 Dr Erika, Thank you so much too as you have clarified so much stuff, thats been spinning around in my 5yr Peri Menopausal head😫 I’ve recently been prescribed Prozac as my new GP has said its better to burn out naturally and if she gives me HRT it may prolong the Peri stage🤷🏼‍♀️ I'm totally confused tbh😔 Anyways thank you both so much again💞💞

I live in the US but on the West Coast. Does anyone know a doctor that Dr Erika recommends on the west coast of the United States?

I had a different problem on hrt. I have never at any stage had a fixed 28 day cycle,so after a few months of hrt the tablets were completely out of sync with my body and completely messed me up. Finally I came off them and actually feel better. The way the tablets are set to a 28 day cycle just didnt work and created a sort of hormonal civil war.

My testosterone gel prescription has been halved because of perimenopausal/menopausal spots and I've been put on lymecycline for a month. I also take vitamin A from Victoria Health. (Plus a good skincare regime). My skin is so much better!
My question is, what happens when I finish the course of lymecycline? Do I just stop or ask for more? I really don't want spots back. Had them since teens because I have hormonal PCOS spots.
Thank you so much for the very informative video! 💛💛💛

Can anyone give me tips on keeping my estrogen patch stuck on for the entire week? I find every time I exercise it unsticks 🙃 before I apply it I exfoliate the area and clean it with rubbing alcohol, let it dry then apply with clean hands. I’ve tried lower back, buttocks and front of thigh. Thigh works best for me where the skin is tight with no folds. Still I end up popping a Band-Aid over it to keep it on. Help! Might ask for cream instead?

I had went to her when I was in my 30s after doing IVF to try to become pregnant well I have to tell you this has ruined my gut health and my sleep so bad I land of it in the hospital could not put two into together that the hormones have Cause me to get sick very often because it takes away your good probiotics research this it almost killed me Right away my stomach problems went away off the hormones that’s how we knew it was that but it threw me right into menopause so bad coming off of it my body relied on it if I can tell anyone let your body go through it naturally and just eat a great healthy diet I would say just do it. I try to go back on a few more times not thinking at the time that it was the hormones but it certainly was it actually got to the point where I couldn’t even go to the bathroom anymore
