Writing of pens with refills depend only on refill and not the pen, and there are comparison and reviews of these. Although I agree that a little showcase of default lamy rollerball refill would be nice.
I been usin these for way too long and i still think they are perfect for what you pay for them. The sturdy plastic does the job well, good grip and not really prone to scratched etc.Have a few more Lamys which are more expensive and I ve noticed that i worry too much with em whereas with the Safari series I am more relaxed since they are less expensive and still they offer a quite nice writing experience
To use Pentel refills, roll up a small piece paper like you are making a spitball and drop it into the barrel and it will enable the refill to bottom out and work like the longer lamy refill😉
Awesome review really enjoyed it and helped me chose the pen. Also, can you help me with which deskmat you're using or what type of it is, I've been trying find the same kind for a long time.
Nice work as always, Sal. I like how the design on the top gives you a way to see which is the rollerball ( - ) and which is the fountain pen (x) at a glance. Handy for those of us who have both. At the moment, the lamyusa site is still selling off rollerball refills at firesale prices. Not sure how long that will be true, so if anyone is interested in picking up some of those nonstandard-sized Lamy M63 refills, probably want to jump on that now rather than later. Last I looked they had rollerballs on sale too (only in retina-searing lime) but I haven't checked that in a couple weeks.
Great video. I bought the petrol blue version and was pretty disappointed at first glance, the pen looks green and only in certain light it looks like petrol blue. I didn't liked the feel of the texture of the pen and it felt very light, overall I had the feeling that I have paid too much for it (22 USD). I didn't liked the M63 refill as well it felt scratchy and the lines were feathery and not crisp. Now I use it with a Pilot G2 refill and I like it, the grip is very comfortable. I think on getting another one in smooth finish in yellow or white maybe.
@@tofusrvng thanks for the tipp. in the meantime, i saw a video suggesting that but couldnt find a good fitting piece in the back to stop it from going in too far. then i took apart a cheap g2 ballpoint and used the plastic mechanic piece in the back of the pen and the spring in the front (plastic alone was too little, it rocked back and forth) to keep the mine from coming out too much, basically like a normal ballpoint and its a very good fit. to replace the feeling of a rollerball somewhat, i bought a schneider 755 xb cartridge. pretty good so far, if one can buy it - i recommend.
Can you put the Lamy Safari/Al-Star Fountain Pen Grip and nib with the rollerball body and cap? I have a special addition fountain pen, but want to turn it into a rollerball, and my wife was wanting this special addition fountain pen but only in stock as a rollerball
He tenido problemas con el flujo de tinta al escribir. He cambiado el cartucho M63 pensando que venía malo pero con el segundo sucede lo mismo ¿alguien sabe que puede suceder?
Yes, good feedback. Many videos covering this pen on the channel though as well as deep dives into the varied refills that fit the pen. Even so, my bad.
It would be nice to see how it writes on a paper.

Who does a pen review without actually writing with it?

Charcoal is a regular color and lamy sells it every year. This year’s special color is the all black and it’s truly all black.

I love the Pilot G2 - does the refill fit straight in to the Lamy??
It does, but you need a bit of a hack to get it done since the G2 refill is shorter than the Lamy.
Do you have to mod it to take energel refills?
i love this pen, but i dont use it much since the refills are 4$ and dont hold very long.
you can use a G2 as a replacement refill

no
The Sheaffer rollerball is second option to remplace type
your pen is bent. indicative to that damaged box.
How do you go with your sweaty hands to the lamy safari?
Nice videos!
Can we put a mont blanc refill in it?
Yeah, with a small shim it should work fine
Hello. Do you know if the Lamy M16 refill (Safary ballpen) fits on the Safary rollerball?
Thank you!!
Has anyone had success with a fineliner refill?
Could this take montblanc refills? They're slightly longer.
Probably, the barrel is larger than the lamy refills so I bet they'd work
the ink traspases the paper?

Ignacio Corvalan intenta con un refill del Pilot G2 ... son muy buena calidad y Durán bastante

A pen review that doesn't include how it writes. Jeez

Great review... I have the yellow version and it always stands out, so everyone knows it’s mine lol.
Great video.
