Bought one of these and it’s the worst thing ever. Mostly use it for the so called Rapid which you cannot alter from a 30 min dry. The digital display has been repaired 4 times for free as it constantly breaks. As you said I do prefer to be around when it is on ( too many stories of dryer fires) WiFi is pointless and it takes an absolute age to dry the clothes. Worst buy ever. Your videos and exact precise and extremely clear and easy to understand.
I bought the H-Dry in April, to help with drying bedding for a self catering place. I wanted it for 'sensor drying'. It's rubbish. it only turns one way, which means your washing sends up in a ball, twisted, and still wet in the middle. I have used a sensor dry tumble dryer for almost 30 years. This one is rubbish and I have to put the linen in the other dryer to finish it off. A complete waste of money and now my time.
your vids a great andy you should be a tv presenter seriously👍 if there where awards for the best vlogger on youtube id definitly vote for you keep them coming
Love your videos! Viewing from Illinois. We generally use vented tumble dryers in the States, although I’m interested in heat pump drying as electricity becomes an issue during our hot summers here.
great vid i have a combi hoover washer/dryer and bought it because it has written symbols instead of those pic my older one only had nums and i had to look at manual, since you know alot about machines can you tell me where the lint goes in a combi washer/dryer i cant find the filter to clean it out i do get bit worried about that😮
Hello, do you know of any condenser tumble dryers for sale in uk that are slightly narrower than the standard 59.5cm ? A 56, 57 or even 58cm wide condenser dryer is what l need! Thanks in advance.
the wifi thing drives me absolutely crazy - for an appliance that you have to PUT THINGS INTO why on earth would you then get your phone out when you're likely to be STANDING RIGHT THERE and programme it? I have a washing machine with this function and I wish I could figure out how to switch this off as whenever I turn the machine on I literally have to wait whilst it tries to connect to the internet before it will let me press any buttons to start the thing - overengineering at its best. And whilst I'm on the subject, IS there a way to turn the 'connection' on these things off? And finally, why are dryers (and washers for that matter) SO overengineered? 99% of the people I talk to have a single setting they use, ONE. SINGLE. SETTING!! yes we might amend the heat or occasionally a fast programme is good to have but why a zillion different programmes? WHY??? I came across your video as I'm trying to replace a trusty tumble dryer that's on its last legs, its the Hotpoint TVHM80CP - you know why I love it? because its got a high/low heat button (always on low heat) and a time dial and a start button - that's it, no faffing, no programming, no needing to search for my glasses as I can't see the symbols without them, I just sort, load, whizz the dial to either an 45, 60 or 90 minutes depending on the load and press start - it works EVERY. SINLGE. TIME! I don't need to weigh my washing (I mean, who's got time for that?), I don't need a degree to use it, IT JUST WORKS. My previous one was a sensor drying one - what a load of rubbish, clearly the designer (or maybe the dryer, perhaps they've got it in for me) has a VERY different idea of what 'dry' actually is - got fed up of having to finish stuff off on the radiators (which kind of defeats the point surely) or having musty smelling cupboards because stuff was going away still a bit damp! only trouble is its so heavily used in our house that my beloved dryer has developed a squeak - loudly!
I must admit the Hoover dryers are not the easiest to to use, and you don't have to use the wifi connection if you don't want to. You are correct that most people only use a couple of programs. Unfortunately the programs you use could be different to a lot of other people, hence the manufacturers will offer a range of options to cover all bases. Great feedback though, thank you 😊
How can anyone afford to run a tumble dryer these days? I've washed two huge 10kg loads on cold today ( virtually no electric if you wash on cold) and both loads dried outside in less than 90 mins- and smell so fresh. If it's raining I use my dehumidifier inside my Lakeland dry soon Dryer with the cover on but not plugged in. Dries cheaply in a couple of hours with no wear and tear on the clothes.
First of all washing on cold is worse for the washer it’s been proven time and time again washing on cold can make your washer smell, cause mold especially if it’s not done on a 60 degree or hotter on a regular basis. In regards to your second point, there’s a type of dryer called heat pump which use hardly any electric at all I’ve got a smart meter so I know it’s not using much since it’s in the green area. I mean my heat pump dryer can dry a full load for about 1 hour and 20 minutes compared to 3 hours plus if I hung it outside. Just saying plus your bedding and towels are always much better when they have proper air and heat.

I love your videos
Thanks very much 🤗
@@lords-electrical your videos are brill could you review more Beko washers
Me too, especially the longer videos.
Especially the tumble dryers
Brilliant. Thanks very much.
I thought vented tumble driers were to be discontinued on environmental grounds. Is that right?
They’re slowly phasing out. Not as many to choose from as their use to be.
Yes within a couple of years they will not be around, it will just be heat pump dryers that can be purchased.
My dryer does not dry my clothes even on 2 hours programme and the clothes are cold

Washer dryers won't have filters like on a tumble dryer the fluff and lint just gets taken through the waste hose.
@@lords-electrical so no cleaning out thanks so much andy just something i always wondered👍

Unfortunately i don't know of any now. Zanussi used to do a compact one but i think they have discontinued it now

Very confusing these symbols! Ridiculous idea!
i bought this a few months ago, its utterly rubbish. I'm going to give it away.
That's annoying to hear you didn't get on with it.
It's the worst dryer I've ever had ..takes ages to dry anything
