Amtrak 503 leads Pacific Surfliner in 2024

The ever so trustworthy Charger locomotives have failed Amtrak yet again... haha!! These unreliable pieces of garbage are an embarrassment to the railroad! With no usable Charger engines in the yard Dash 8 #503 got called up for a rare road journey South to San Diego leading Amtrak 580. Never gets old seeing these horses on the mainline!!
Was able to grab two passings of it along with a few other shots while waiting...

Seems the dash 8's are out living the P42's. Perhaps we'll see them in phase 7. They are a great universal engine.
