Hope took the pills to live peacefully her relation with a man that is divorcing, and to stay with him is not forbidden by any law.
Hope's values had nothing to do with the current situation, things change and so do people, you can call it adaptation, or learning from experiences or growing up, and it's natural and healty. Hope now has other priorities, like rebuilding her life with the man she loves, but still she is a good person, otherwise she wouldn't have care less about what Steffy or other people said about it.
