Originally a smoking club, Keens was a beloved gathering spot for famous actors and literary figures. More than 45,000 pipes have been left here by members! Keens boasts the largest pipe collection in the world.
Inside, you’ll find pipes left by numerous notable figures such as former President Theodore Roosevelt, J.P. Morgan, Albert Einstein, Babe Ruth, and many more recognizable names.

Even if you arrive early, they operate on a system where you wait at the entrance until it’s time for everyone to be seated together, so I recommend coming right on time!
If you arrive early, you can always enjoy a drink at the bar next door while waiting.
Once seated, you’ll be served fresh vegetables (celery, carrots, olives, pickles) with ranch dressing as a complimentary starter. The portion is generous enough that you won’t need to order a salad!
