What an amazing send off for an old soldier. My dad passed away in April aged 94. He did National Service in the Royal Engineers but had wanted to go in the Royal Tank Regiment and would have loved to think this FV432 would have been his transport on his final road trip. Well done lads.
REME veteran here. Been fighting cancer for nine years. Now stage 4 incurable and it's going to get me one day. I'm still staying a couple of paces ahead of the bony bastard with the scythe. But, when he does catch up with me I want my final trip in this. But, you have to fit an atlas crane, a canvas penthouse and my forever box needs to be surrounded with yellow handbags. I would love for you to take me to my road move to the final RV for the long time sleep. Except. I'm in Australia. Too far for the load loader I guess.
Cap badge on the fleece looks like the Royal Hussars, one of its predecessors was the 11th Hussars were known as “The Cherry Pickers” after an incident in the Peninsula War hence the Cherry Red colour. Great work team ❤
Royal Hussars….The Cherry Pickers………outstanding send off, outstanding effort boys………that’s exactly the way I want to be transported to my final resting place….HUZZAH!! (Ex QOH 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏)
i recently visited Fort Nelson down Portsmouth and i saw the gun carriage that carried Queen Victoria and Edward the Seventh, and a visit to the docks saw Nelsons Funeral Barge - there is something quite poignant about these forms of transport to a funeral - yours included, what you are doing is somewhat amusing, especially for someone who was in the services, a bit tongue in cheek, but it also brings a tear to my eye, your so right, a way to end their story, but it does make me think of a small slogan you might have on the side, perhaps 'shaken not stirred' haha - bless all those using your service

Nice
The black astro turf looks far better than those tiles.
And less slippy for the flower displays. Good old eBay everything you need is on there.
Maybe wear sas black gear rather than the military would of set it off. But at least they will have got a good send off
Very remiss of me not to wish you a belated happy birthday earlier. Hope you enjoyed the rest of your day after you performed your duties.
Black coveralls maybe
