Always admire how Americans manage those complex schedules and fast development programs internally and globally in a complex multinational environment. Truly respectable.

Man, had to be tough for old Donny to say all those nice things about the Crew, the city of Columbus, etc.

I don’t know why Don gets so much hate. He was tasked with not tanking the league again. Making it profitable. He’s done a fine job. Keep it up Don.

By making soulless companies like Miami, LAFC, NYCFC? Give me a break, this idiot did nothing to stop precourt from moving the Crew from Columbus. He's a devil hiding behind a Smile, plus the league hates him too not just us in Columbus

I don't think he should get hate either. However, I think maybe in the future they should look for a switch in leadership for new ideas.

He gets hated on because he’s holding back the league overall, the MLS will never be able to even be at top 10 league in the world with a salary cap and other crazy mls rules. Also the reason that he gets hated on so much in Columbus is because he attempted to move the club away to Austin without any merit

@@adamrafeedie1543 I agree. I e believe he’s done a phenomenal job but eventually, a new perspective will be needed.

@@pickleboss7622 I hear this a lot. How is he holding the league back? Year over year it has been on the rise because of the control measures that have been in place. If I took anyone’s money and multiplied it at the rate he has been, man! It’s a very positive tend. La liga, premier, liga mx, ligue 1…all these have no control measures and tell me how that’s working out for them. Don’t forget that we are only 29 years and have passed liga mx, which many thought was impossible.

These people don't understand their product is worse than subpar. If they don't start spending they will start losing fanbase. Nobody watches on Apple TV and messi is not saying passed this year. Sad, I have supported this league for so long only to see it slowly die. It will, the product on the field is garbage and they are not willing to spend

    • @adamrafeedie1543

Haha what are you saying? The league just jumped to fourth in popularity in the USA. And made a 2.5 billion dollar deal with apple.

MLS found a way to qualify 10 clubs to the new iteration of the Champions Cup. They're spending more than ever before, and it's one of Very few leagues that came out of the pandemic in a stronger position than when it started. Two previous leagues wound up folding due to an economic downturn and Not controlling spending ahead of that, and MLS got it right this time.
For the first time ever, I can begin to imagine a world in which pretty much all MLS clubs are better than the best clubs in Liga MX. And before too long, second tier clubs in both the US and Canada will start to get some wins against them as well. That will take some time, but it's coming.
