When COVID dies down you should get 14 clients together in a video and do ANTM style makeovers for them (including a photoshoot!)
I volunteer as tribute!!
YES
Omg yassssssssss
I volunteer
I want in!! Lmao
It seems like they cut model's hair based on what would be the most drastic change rather than what suited their features best
And he said "We're not doing this for shock value"! Ye, right. It's a drama show..
Your profile pic really suits the comment
@@Balletified ive never watched americans next topmodel but germanys and i feel like the "leader" of them act the same? like do they have to be like that? and yes,.. they do whatever is most drastic and it barely looks good on them
"We don't make decisions for shock value"
Literally tricks a girl into thinking she's getting her hair cut short and once she's crying and going into a panic attack laugh at her pain and tell her they aren't cutting it. They LITERALLY made that decision EXCLUSIVELY for the purpose of shock value. Like unless you and your besties are super into pranking each other and it's like a thing you actually bond over, no one behaves that way to people they don't know.
Now we Saw that show and was so horrible , blackface, colorism, racism, the way they treated Yaya Da Costa lame, the way she Scream on Tiffany horrible
Right!
Im nb and my hair is super short now
But back when it was down to my waist it was extremely important to me, my hair was my security blanket... you shouldn't ever change your hair until you are ready.
I was ready to cut my hair when i got literally 16 inches cut off
She was such a brat that I found it funny that they played that trick on her, almost to teach her a lesson
Michelle Tabisz I had to stop watching the show because of that foolishness.
I was always mad after watching.
@@selina5598 what is wrong with you she was fine and whats wrong with having confidence to me you seem heartless and just overall like a moron

Me: *thinks about all the times she's been rude to the girls, forced them into uncomfortable situations for ratings then claims it's because the modeling world is just like that, makes them feel lesser, makes things about her, organizes extremely questionable/blatantly racists shoots for shock value* Hm. Yes. Iconic.
Tira was like a narcisistic mother for these models.

Why do all of the before pictures look like a mugshot the morning after an amazing night on the town
They want them to look as bad as possible
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 to attempt to make their after shots look better!
Its the casting photo from when they first auditioned
And the After pictures look so bland and overprocessed. Kind of missing contrast, no "good" light from any distinct direction, just frontal "flash", no beautiful shadows and the models are almost melting into the grew background, a bit 2-D-ish.
When Tyra and panel are picking their models that advance into the final round they have these casting photos attached to their packet. It’s easy to doctor your photo to look like a model (I.e. Instagram) so these mugshot-esq photos help them choose girls on a more level playing field.
Brad: There is NO way this girl knows who this hairdresser is!

She worked at Bergdorf Goodman. She definitely knew.
Literally was remembering that she worked there 😂
She knew her shit!!

Yes she worked there!! I was saying the same thing!
we need to stop making fun of girls who cry when their hair is cut. There is a lot of inscurity there, we feel like we are losing our femininity. Hair represents security, comfort, beauty and femininity (in most cases, even if its not true). Even if our hair doesn't define us, it is still a part of us and it is difficult to let all that go so suddenly. People who have never had long hair (that they actually adored) will never understand so please stop making fun of them.
Edit:
I just wanted to add: I don’t mean that having long hair is feminine itself, I mean that in the past it was linked to femininity and that stigma has stuck. So even if it’s not true, a lot of women have a hard time cutting their hair because they are afraid of challenging their own femininity.
Yeah, I used to have extremely long hair, down past my waist. For me it was a kind of safety blanket. I've always had social anxiety and agoraphobia and having people look at me always made me incredibly anxious and insecure. I started to grow my hair longer just because I liked the look in the beginning, but as it grew longer people started commenting on it and somehow that helped me to feel like if someone looked at me in public it was simply because of my hair, not because of any of my other insecurities. When I decided to finally cut it I did it because I had gotten to a place mentally where I no longer felt the need to hide myself. I can't imagine how I would have felt if someone had forced me to cut it before I was ready. I would probably have had a panic attack, for real.
My hair goes down past my butt and I am scared to ever get it cut. It makes me feel safe and I feel like it is the only "feminine" thing about me. If I were in this situation and they said they were going to chop it all off I would literally cry my eyes out.
Ikr you’re right
It's their JOB, they are PAID for It. It's like a driver that starts to cry because he has to drive.
@@TheLittleMart As far as I know, models have autonomy of their own bodies, no one can FORCE them to cut their hair and if it's required for a shoot, I'm pretty sure they can say no to the shoot or they can get a nice looking wig.
I think women get a badder rap for hair. We are told from a young age that our hair is our “crown” and sometimes we rely on it for our beauty. Some people even see shorter hair as “masculine.” I remember when I cut my hair, people CONSTANTLY would ask me “why I cut it” and “Your hair was so pretty.” We need to remember that not everyone in this world is so progressive and people can influence your thinking and we can project that onto ourselves.
That’s sooo true! I loved changing the colour and length of my hair when i was younger and most of the time there never came cruel or bad comments.... untill i shaved them off for work (to have it easier) and because i wanted it. Everbody asked What’s wrong, if i‘m ill/have cancer, if i broke up with my boyfriend and like women, why in the world i did it.... why not should be the answer! It‘s sad how a short haircut on a woman reflects for many people only negative/strange thinks in our Society.
I shaved my hair off a month or so back, ALL gone. Someone asked me "why I would do something like that to myselr" my answer was " because I am 32 and I can litetally do what i want to my hair".
You are absolutly right and it even goes the same way when your hair is as Brad would say "too long".
Like you have a range of acceptable haircuts to choose from and if it's shorter they question your sanity, sexuality or health and if it's too long they question your sanity, hygenity and social abilities.
Just let people have the hair they want it's none of your buisness. They have to be happy with their haircut, not you.
I've never heard anyone call someone's hair their crown, but I definitely agree with you. I didn't leave the house with my hair up for years because when I was a teenager my sister once said I looked like a boy when I had it in a ponytail. I was really self-conscious back then and thought I was fat and ugly (which I wasn't) and my hair was the only thing I liked about appearance.
my dad almost hit me when i cutted my hair because he thought that I looked ugly and masculine, and i said that i could wear my hair the way that i wanted. Fun fact i didn't look ugly or masculine in it, i have a really femenine face 🤔 (excuse any grammar mistake, my english isn't perfect)
Can we just talk about how Tyra calls the girls “busted up models” and “wannabes”? Good lord 😵
She's a rude, out of touch, colourist woman-hater.
@@twiggyjali I seck d this
Her whole little tacky phone scene was so hateful and ugly. She is totally ok with traumatizing a bunch of girls about something with deeply engrained meaning and value like their hair. She says she don’t care! Because she knows it will get views... ugh I just don’t like it at all. Women are trained to be attached to their hair and we associate it so closely with beauty, it’s really cruel to do this to girls who are desperate for a break
@@angiebaby8870 it’s really not that deep

For the girl with the massive eyes: Her hair color NEEDED to be like white platinum blonde. Like literally white. I feel like that’s what she has now and it literally looks like she should have been born with it
Yeah, like Poppy vibes.

Truuuuuue
Nah, she does that to the chicks she doesnt want to win. Most of the models are prettier than her. Her over pinched nosejobe did her no favors
@@teddy.3225 lmfao. Her nose job looks awful
I mean.... wouldn't you? She's got to make a show AND protect her own brand at the same time. Is it wrong and horrid? Yes. Is it also understandable in her industry? Also...yes.
@@ruthabigail5939 I understand whats your point, but not everyone sabotages others like that, their business isn't an excuse and doesn't make it more acceptable, whether they're doing it for business or personal insecurities it suck
The annoying thing about Celia's was that they cut her hair off, and then claimed she photographed "too old".
Yeah that hair cut aged her: she looks fresh and young with the long hair
Granted it was a bit thin so she might have benefited from a generous trim to collarbone length
I’ve noticed there are no midlength cuts in these middle seaons
They did the same thing with Jada in cycle 7, cut all her hair off, then told her she was too masculine ????
She looks like an edgy mom with high school children
Totally agree and specially when they styled it like a mullet, not exactly helping her.
Bad says she doesn't know who the hair stylist is but she's one of the few the truly knows the industry
I think it's important to remember that sometimes people create such attachment to their hair because of trauma in their lives. Their hair may be the only thing they have had control over, so having someone else trying to change it without their consent can be equally as traumatizing ❤
Hair is also kind of engrained in women to be something to value and I 100% agree with what you’re saying and think that we should also just be okay with people being “attached” to their hair. I love my hair so much and it took a lot of effort to get it as healthy and beautiful as it is now if someone were to chop it off with no regard for me (as they do with so many of the models on here) I’d be devastated
Thanks for saying that. As soon as my hair grow as I baby my mom took me to the salon to straighthen it cause she couldnt handle my natural curls. I never liked how it look on me, but my family taught me to think curly hair was ugly and that I can only be as pretty as my hair is. When I became an adult I finally could have my natural hair as I want it and since then I work hard for having it healthy, as perfect as I can so I can feel pretty. Just thinking of someone doing something I hate to it again makes me terrified.
Althought I dont think is traumatic for me, it was still very impactful. So thank you for saying that.
Well then don't plan on being a model. And I can tell you from a hair dressers point of view who worked with Cancer patients that lost all their hair during treatment that you should get therapy if you're that attached to your hair. Because sometimes you lose it.
@@BsTheLadynred losing hair from chemo or cancer is a whole different thing.
YES! I have curly hair and come to hate it, but with the years I learned to love my curls and take good care of them. Its so hard to grow that if someone cut it I would cry so much...
I can't remember her name, but that one girl might actually know who is John Barreett is. She was one of the ones who knew all the current designers, photographers, etc. She was reciting them in her interview and designed all of her own fashions. So, she might be legitimately fan-girling...OR she could still be reading a script. Hahaha

@@PHSDM104 Yes! I actually liked her. She had one moment where she was kind of wrong, but that was blown way out of proportion. lol
@@ryanbeaty4893 I agree. They did blow it out of proportion. I'm not saying what she did was right but, at the same time, no one was trying to hold Tahlia accountable for making herself vulnerable and blurting her feelings out where everyone could hear. That includes her competition, who will look for any opportunity to get rid of her. Celia was wrong to throw Tahlia under the bus, but Tahlia shouldn't have been playing in traffic during rush hour.
As someone who is losing hair do to an illness, please don't say "its just hair". I think brad can relate when I say some people enjoy doing hair, and when you lose the one thing thats yours, its terrifying. Especially when all those men were so rude about it. She was scared and thats okay. Don't ever be ashamed of feeling that fear. When its uncontrollable and you no longer have the thing you've had all your life, its hard. Everyday I wish I had my long, thick hair again. Now all I can do is wear extensions and hope one day it maybe can grow back.

I feel that my dude, I had cancer a couple of years ago, my hair was long thick and dark, I high key looked like Pocahontas. I was devastated when I lost my hair, but the process has made me appreciate how I look minus the hair. America's Next Top Model almost always gave black contestants a straight weave. As if they couldn't do anything else with their natural hair. Then again, they usually go to high-end hair salons that don't have black stylists or stylists trained to work with textured hair. That contestant with the afro looked so much better with her afro than with her weave. Also, why do they always get stylists who don't know how to do weaves properly?! 😭 It hurts.
@Marcelle not in the slightest
YES!
Weave or shaved off completely. They want us bald for some reason.
I think that part of it is caused by the fact that the modeling industry was more racist than it is now (agreed, there are still improvements to be made). I mean, those were the days when a girl with a tooth gap becoming a model (Lara Stone) was a HUGE deal (trust me, it was, I still remember the craze over her), so what's to say about trans people and POC?

Does America’s next top model ever actually become America’s next top model???
No. I did see Danielle in a lot of things for a while, clothing ads and such. I'd say Analeigh's acting career is probably the most main stream success anyone got. And I still think Analeigh and Allison should have won their seasons. In fact a lot of the runner up blondes should have won, Shandi, Jodie, Shannon from season one actually has a pretty decent career.
I believe Next is the modelling agency which they get signed to, and Next is in a few countries, so technically they do become "America's Next Top Model". Happy to be corrected though.
Maybe not what anyone would call "top" but many of them do go on to have successful modeling careers. Fo from this season has modeled for Aerie for a while now!
@@mandarinz69 The agency changes from season to season. I don't remember Next, but I know winners have been signed to IMG and Elite.

As someone who's cut their hair really short after having it long for a long time, I can tell you that it is really hard. Hair is something that gives you security and getting rid of it can really affect your self-esteem, I cannot even look at myself some times because I just break down, I no longer feel pretty or even like myself. So please, stop making fun of her.
That's kind of Brad's point. "You're more than your hair." You should take this opportunity to fall in love with yourself and avoid holding onto vanity for self-esteem. :)
don't listen to the other comment, you're allowed to feel attached to your hair. I know a lot of girls (very much including me) who are super protective with their hair and its not because they're 'dependent on their hair' its just because they like it and it makes them feel good! Right now your hair might not do that but I hope than you can soon find something to love about your new hair :) I don't know how short your hair is but I also have short hair and I love that I can use it to hide my face in public! Its not the same happy feeling my long hair gave me but its still good. You don't have to feel the same way about your new hair as you did your old hair but I hope that you can find a new source of happiness and safety in your new hair :)
Exactly.. my mom had some sort of breakdown/mid life crisis situation when I was very little and I literally watched her put her hair into a low ponytail and hack it off with scissors while crying in front of the mirror...and her hair was down past the back of her legs where your legs bend..

For the first time I understand this girls, it's so mean how while growing up society tells you that you only attractive/pretty if you have long hair, but shame women when they are attached to their hair.
EXACTLY. I read once that women pull most of their confidence from how their hair looks and I feel like it’s a safety blanket for a lot of women so I get why they’re crying. It’s a difficult shift to make in your mind even though you know it’s just hair
It's not the attachment that bothers me, but the fact that after 12 seasons, some girls are surprised that they're getting a hair cut. This wasn't an on the spot announcement say bye to your hair kind of deal, these girls knew what they were in for when they signed up. You can't watch 11 seasons of a show and think "Maybe on my season they won't cut my hair." They have months before filming starts to come to terms with possibly losing some or all of their hair.
@@torijenkins2731 they did but I think it’s safe to say that you really don’t always know how you’re gonna feel in a moment until you’re there. Even when I know what hairstyle I’m getting I still feel unsure once they start doing it. Also I feel like a lot of them could’ve just thought “It won’t be a big deal once I get there” and then they’re wrong. And it’s like, yeah they signed up for it so they should have expected the worst and prepared for it but they kinda get pressured into putting up with it or they’ll face judgement and I think we can all agree that they DO sometimes pick makeovers that are for shock value. So it kinda just sucks that they don’t feel comfortable leaving the situation and they end up stuck in a position that is uncomfortable for them
@@torijenkins2731 they put the girls in situations specifically to make them react. It’s easy to say they’re being irrational from home, but we haven’t been in the same situation.

So fun facts: indigenous people have do put a lot of emphasis in their hair. I'm navajo and its very important to have long hair. It's kinda complicated but it dates back to bordering school would cut natives hair to "civilize" them. My dad was in charge of cutting younger boys hair in bordering school. But yeah their are cultural reasons people have long hair and have a deep connection to it.
Also a lot of native boys get teased for their long hair. Just some info.

Overly salon tanned. It's not her natural skin tone.
Hair is deeply sacred and spiritual to some people and even though it seems like a material object to you, it can mean a lot on a deeper level and that's okay. In many cultures and religions, people consider growing their hair as a connection to the divine
Yeah of course, but I think if you couldn’t cut your hair for spiritual reasons, they would tell the producers ! I don’t think they would just sit there and cry. Just my thoughts
I understand where you’re coming from. You mean this as women in general, not just the ones on this show. & you’re right.
Low-key HATE how Tyra said the beeeeautiful Afro was “limiting” and then gave her long smooth hair w a slight wave
She always does that... she is colorist
It's exactly what ever other Black girl gets. Long wavy weave or shaved, that's all they do.
"It's so limiting"
Then uses the same 5 white-coded templates every single season
Ikr it’s honestly really racist. Those girls have natural really pretty curls, why do they got to be limited to a white girl hairstyle or bald.
Yeah if their natural hair is long (which is a lot of work and effort to grow out) she chops it off. Or if they are wearing a natural like weave they give them straight weaves that are crappily sewn. They always end up looking horrible. The worst episode when they made the white girls dress up in black face and pose as “african queens” or some bs... like all the black girls are confused af

She was my favorite she should of won. She’s so beautiful and the most unique looking I’ve seen on the show..Loved her personality too
Hey beautiful, can you please tell me wich cycle this is?
What's sad to me, is when I would cut my hair super short and the ladies in the salon getting their basic bitch hair done would look at me and say, "I wish I could do that! I could never. My husband/boyfriend would be so mad at me!" Dude, it is YOUR hair! I actually did have a guy break up with me because I cut my long hair into a shoulder length bob. It is literally just hair. It grows back. Yes, I am that girl that will say, "Do what you think will look great on me." It has backfired once or twice, but it's hair!
So true! I just cut my hair to a short pixie; and my bf was so supportive! The right partner will support ya for sure!
@@isawwater My husband never knows what he is getting when I come home from the salon! LOL. I miss my pixie! It's so liberating!!!
Yeah I've always had short hair and did weird colours and people always said the same shit to me. Even when I was doing hair, when they'd say that bullshit to me I always asked them who's head the hair is growing from.
Girl, you have a doppelgänger with your face AND first name! I was reading through the comments when I saw your face and thought “ha, I just found Nicole on YT!” but didn’t recognize the last name. I clicked on your photo and after squinting realized you’re not the Nicole I was thinking you were but omg, you guys could be sisters. 😳 same hair style and color, same face.... crazy.
Yes!! I would ask my husband just for his opinion, but he always says to do whatever makes me happy. It's my hair!!
The girl who looks like a dolly.. the hair 😭 omg. She looks like she's wearing a cheap party wig. Wtf 😭 Dolly Parton does not accept this look. Even she would disavow.
Thankfully she fixed it later. She kept it blonde (less yellow) and straight. It looks so much better nowadays.
dolly pardon my hair

Popular opinion: Everyone wants to have brad as hairdresser
@LiLi LiTHiUMM True that!
Yesss he would be the only hairdresser that I let have full control. And not panic if he’s gonna mess my hair up. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve gone in to get like one to two inches cut off and left with seven or eight inches gone.
I would rather have him as a best friend 😉
My hair is long, curly and healthy after YEARS of babying it since I abused it as a teenager. So I would probably be the one having a panic attack if someone tried to cut it.
I hear you, I literally buzzed my hair start of quarantine (first time ever) to start fresh and healthy. I can't imagine getting it back to pre buzz length and having someone shave it off again or cut it super short.
If you become a model though you have to accept that it's part of the job, it's not like they just tried to force a haircut on a random person haha
@@giulia9116 the issue is that cutting your hair can actually make you lose job opportunities as a model
@@avocadoll7285 she did enter the show knowing full well they'd likely cut/dye her hair. And yes, models can only cut their hair if their agency are okay with it, but again, by entering the show you have to accept the makeover part. This said, I doubt it was real, she was probably asked to throw a fit to add drama.
@@giulia9116 I agree that she would've known about it, but that doesn't automatically mean she's now happy about it. You can want something and know you'll have to sacrifice but still hesitate when it's time to make the sacrifice.
3:22 okay as a STAN of this season, celia was always dressed to IMPRESS and she knew so much about the fashion world so i think she genuinely knew who he was and his importance.
I stan Celia’s style
He said, “They screwed you over with that weave.” 😂 “They didn’t even give you a part what kinda sh** is that.” Bruhhhhhh I’m laughing so hard
I can tell how old this season of AMNT is simply because the corner says new Gossip Girl episodes.
Honestly, I don’t think they should just cut off their hair when they obviously don’t want it. During quarantine, my mom cut my hair, and I asked for a bit of a trim. She cut off over four inches, and I was close to crying. It wasn’t that I thought it was ugly, no my mom did a wonderful job, it was that I had grown it out for years. Please don’t laugh at these girls because they probably work hard to make it so long and they are just like “we’re cutting it all off!!”
I 100% agree
I think for most people (including me) hair is probably the easiest part of your appearance to control, so for someone to take that control away must be awful. I mean even if your hair looks great, if it wasn't something you wanted to do then of course you'd be upset!
@@courtenayrhoodie812 thank you!
Yessss!! For me it's the fact that when you cut it, you can't go back. It would take sooo much time for your hair to grow back if you don't like your haircut. My hair is now under my waist and i would like to see how i would look with short hair (shoulder length) but im sooo scared that it would turn bad and then i can't grow it back in a day. It would take years for them to grow back to how they were before and that's a big no no for me!
@@domoon_cosplay exactly!
As much as I agree that unwanted haircuts can be traumatic, these women know when they apply that there’s a high chance Tyra might cut all their hair off or even shave their head if she wants...it’s not unexpected or a surprise that this is literally what they do to *everyone* on the show every single series, and if it’s going to freak them out they shouldn’t apply. (The prank was too much though)
I like some of the girls’ long hair. Everybody’s hair doesn’t need to be short. 🥴
Preach
I feel like some of these girls don’t need anything done to their hair really
like foe tbh or feaux or whatever
@Frances Daugherty
It’s a bit of a tossup for me with Fo: I think that the bangs she had out when she showed up... would have been cute if they kept that and gave her an edgy short do like P!nk
But I liked the pixie cut too
It drove me so crazy she would change EVERYONES unnatural colors to bland and now Tyra just starts popping hot pink wigs onto ladies

This show really didn't age well. It is outrageous how little respect was given to consent. The girl litterally had to bend foward after saying wait several times to prevent them from cutting her hair. Yes it comes with the job, but that doesn't negate her consent. I hate watching this show now. Love watching Brad though!!
They gave consent when they signed up to be on the show. After 11 seasons they know what they’re getting into.
It wasn't real. They were all acting. 😉
@@vanityplates3125 I know a few of the models from past seasons. They definitely weren’t acting but things are pieces super out of order so it looks more dramatic than it is.
@@andrewjones7800 consent can be revoked at any time. It’s not a binding contract.
That's exactly why it is disturbing, bc they signed up. You can see the girl feels half paniking, half ashamed, but she should be free to change her mind any moment, no paper is supposed to give other's people disposition of your body, your person
"Flattered? Id be bored."
I LOVED THAT lol
I found out yesterday that my grandmother watches Brad on FB. She got so excited talking about him and I asked if it was him and her face lights up as she goes “YEAH! That’s him!”...... precious!
I feel like, the girl with the fro looked better before. Her fro made her stand out, absolutely gorgeous. And the straight long her makes her look average, just another girl with exentions.
Agreed! With a little imagination they could have elevated that hair in shoots and made her hair art and what a meaningful statement that would make!
Literally. They always cut and straighten the curly and kinky girls hair.
Yea it was pretty before maybe they could have defined it more but it seems like they just want to give straight or wavy long extensions to the black women........
I agree! I hate the extensions they gave. I hate the blonde hair. I wish they would enhance their natural hair because it’s soooo beautiful
Its not funny, hair is important to peoples confidence. Also, they were just coming at her with scissors looks super uncomfortable to watch so probably was a gross situation to be in.
I know, it hurt me every time they said (or anyone says) "it's just hair." For some people it's not. Not only does it take me YEARS to grow a few inches because of the texture, I recently got sick to the point where I lost a massive volume of my hair, and this was just as I was starting to love it in its natural state and not straighten it anymore. Now I wear it up all the time because I'm embarrassed how it looks down. You can't say "it's just hair, it'll grow back" because for some people it won't or it takes an extremely long time.
Those people shouldn’t go to shows where one of their gimmicks is cutting and changing hair.

I don’t understand why people find it funny when a girl is having her super long hair cut pretty much against her will. My hair is down to the bottom of my back and I’ve struggled to grow it due to damage. The idea of it having to be cut back, If someone told me I would look prettier or edgier with short hair, or hat it might further my career?! I don’t care I would straight up refuse. I love my hair and I’ve worked damn hard to keep it this long. Same with those girls. It’s cruel
Same, I've been growing my hair for so long now and then my friend says I would suit a Bob cut 🙄
I see your hair and they look suuuper healthy and luscious, so good job! Do you have any tips for some of us who are also struggling to grow it long, cause honestly I've stayed away from heat for a year and it doesn't help

Celia definitely came into that season a major fashionista/fashion enthusiast, so I'd say it was believable that she knew who John Barrett is. Also, when they fixed Teyona's weave later in the season I think I actually cheered.

i completely understand the attitude of “it’s just hair” but i also think it’s important to point out that in many cultures hair is very important, for example in many indigenous cultures. many native people today cherish their hair especially because their ancestors were forced to cut it off in assimilation based boarding schools. i know that this is not the case for everyone but we never know people’s story, their possible struggles with illness that caused balding or trichotillomania. i only point this out to remind all of us never to judge what is important to others because we don’t know their story. anyway i love you brad and everyone else on here have a great day be kind to yourself💖💖

Hi cancer survivor here, (non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma) and I totally get why she would freak out about her hair (used to be down to my butt before I lost it all)- however, Brad is right to an extent how hair shouldn’t be our identity. We are beautiful no matter what superficial changes we make to ourselves. We just have to put everything in perspective. When I got diagnosed, instead of letting chemo take my hair, I went to the salon the day after my neulasta shot, and got it all chopped off and had my own little makeover. Got a pixie with undercut and razored in designs. Started losing more hair a week after, then shaved myself bald. I decided on my terms when to part with my hair. It was a tough, but also easy decision given the perspective. So guys, don’t take your hair for granted, but also, don’t let something as superficial, or easily changeable define a large part of you, or make it part of your identity.
Fo is so incredibly pretty. Love her skin and eyes.
